X-T1 if you want interchangeable lenses, x100s if you don't
X-T1 if you want interchangeable lenses, x100s if you don't
I'm not earning that much. Maybe in a year :v:.
Worth it doe.
Imo the a6000 is the best valued camera on the market right now. Competes with models well above it's price range and has much better AF performance than anything close to it (including DSLR's)

To be fair I'd probably actually prefer a NEX6 (the mad AF on the a6000 isn't really that important to me) but it wouldn't be worth the ~£100 extra I'd be paying for it.
Is that the 25mm 1.4 or 35mm 1.7? I've got the latter and I've actually taken some decent photos with mine
It's the 35mm 1.7 Actually have been using it for professional jobs. 30 dollars... haha. The images look better than my 14-42mm kit lens

Other than that the a6000 completely outspecs it [editline]13th July 2014[/editline]
It's the 35mm 1.7 Actually have been using it for professional jobs. 30 dollars... haha. canon 40mm pancake continues to make me happy v recommend for anyone with 6d; just saying
Other than field curvature it's surprisingly a decent lens, and I'm sure a bit better on m43 due to field curvature being less pronounced.?
Wide open the edges are softer, but in a good way. The bokeh is a bit swirly and weird, but I can't tell if it's a bad thing or not. The focus pulls are great for video besides that, obviously I FINALLY got my GH4. Thing is great. I also picked up the 16mm t2.2 Rokinon cine lens, which is also amazing. The 5d mkiii is deifnitely better in low light, but in any other situation the gh4 tops it. (from a video perspective) (also the 5dmkiii does feel sturdier, but they are both metal and weather sealed so idk)
So my T2i seems to be taking a shit on me, and I can't tell if it's the sensor or the lens. With my 50mm 1.4, the images seem incredibly hazy. Not soft or out of focus, but hazy as though the lens is foggy. I've cleaned the shit out of the lens on both ends, and a quick peek shows the sensor to be pretty clean. Is there some way I can properly diagnose this?
Shine a flashlight through the opposite end of the lens you are inspecting, and then post some image examples as well
Here's 1.8 last summer- -- and here's 1.8 now. I have looked through the lens before and it seems sharp enough. I've held it up to my monitors and through both ends you can see the individual pixels very sharply, but I will take another look through the lens asap- I just need to eat some chicken first.

Image quality is AMAZING, comes about as close to my 6D as I could ever imagine, is far more compact and fun to use. In fact I can honestly say it's the most fun camera I've ever used in digital. Can post some images later on if you like.
I've been really enjoying using my zeiss ikonta folder for medium format, but now I'd like to move to something a bit better (sharper, less fungal, faster to use). I know it'll probably be way bulkier and less convenient but w/e I'd want something with a waist level finder. Interchangeable lenses would be nice, but aren't necessary. I really want to take casual portraits and stuff with it, which is pretty hard with the zeiss' uncoupled rangefinder. [editline]13th July 2014[/editline] ideally 6x6 but I don't really mind
help?
canon 40mm pancake continues to make me happy v recommend for anyone with 6d; just saying
i'm considering it, i think i found a used one for about $150. its either gonna be the pancake or the 50 1.4
clean it
I appreciate the sentiment but as previously stated, I cleaned the ever loving shit out of both ends of the lens and it's still hazy.
I appreciate the sentiment but as previously stated, I cleaned the ever loving shit out of both ends of the lens and it's still hazy.
my apologies could be inside the lens? take it to a camera repair joint and ask for a quick look
I'm afraid I might have to do just that :(
Here's 1.8 last summer- -- and here's 1.8 now.
Shot with AF or MF? 2nd one kind of seems off focus
That's exactly the point. Believe it or not it's perfectly in-focus, and still looks unbelievably hazy. Any focus forwards or backwards just looks worse. Not only was I meticulous about manually focusing the image, but I also shot at 1/200th seconds and had the camera cradled between my knees/legs to keep it steady. Here's another shot at 2.8 that looks better but it's still not sharp in the least. At this point I'm just hoping inspection and repairs aren't going to be too expensive. [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] Okay actually I just noticed that it might be the sensor in my camera as well as the lens, because that's ISO 125 but look at the ridiculous amount of grain present. all of my equipment is dying :(
try a different lens and the same settings sure that grain is not the post processing?
bronica sq-a
anything cheaper? don't mind if it's a tlr or doesn't have a prism
was the first photo at iso 125? it has the same grain
help?
Bronica's GS-1 line is a 6x7 system that resembles Mamiya's 6x4.5 in body appearance and modularity, and is supposed to be much more compact and lighter than Mamiya's R67 line. They have waist level finders and prism finders, as well as interchangeable film backs so you can get 6x6. The lenses will be a little longer than general 6x6 (with a 100mm f3.5 instead of 80mm 2.8 as standard) but the price should be quite a bit less than a Hassleblad system, and also less than their previous SQ line. I would recommend looking into the system.
was the first photo at iso 125? it has the same grain
you're right actually, I think I've just never noticed it because I usually don't do any pixel-peeping or anything like that. Ima check with my kit lens and my 70-200 right about now [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] Okay so I've locked ISO to 100, here's kit lens @5.0, 70-200 @4.0, 50 @ 1.8, and 50 @ 5.0. All were live-view manually focused @10x magnification So it doesn't actually seem to be my camera at least, but I have no idea how to clear up the haziness, so I think I'm still going to have to get it professionally serviced.
help?
I've got a Yashica Mat124G Twin Lens Reflex I'm selling for £90 because theres a very minor fault, it makes a slight grinding noise when advancing film [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] I should've added £90 is including post to the UK

It would be incredibly noticeable. It might have a lens element out of alignment or something. It looks like a lot of veiling haze mostly
What is veiling haze? [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] Also I forgot to the flashlight through it and am now at work but at first glance it looked completely clear and very sharp :(
