i once put the flash on my 1000D against my skin and fired on full power and nothing happened
Well, that's a gross exaggeration on my end, but basically the flash fried some rubber/plastic inside of the flash chamber. I am saddened.
i used a 430ex to burn train tickets.
was thinking if you could light a cig on a studio flash head, googled it and this came up

what anamorphic lens is that? does it work good on the zuiko lens or would I end up making a DIY contraption out of it?
schneider cinelux
does it look like that isn't a diy job lol
Anyone have any suggestions for a camera bag? I've got three cameras (with about 5 lenses) now and it would be nice if I could have then all in one place instead of having multiple bags. Preferably a back pack since I use my bike to go everywhere.
anything lowepro man
Try finding a bag you're comfortable with then using an insert..
lowepro make solid bags that aren't super pricy
I love my old tamrac bag
I have a hundreds camera backpack that is very nice. It has a laptop sleeve
Billingham.
I only arrived in Holland with my Canon 40D and my 28-80L and now I've got all this

Canon 40D, 70-200/2.8L IS, Canon 28-80/2.8~4L, Canon 24-85/3.5~4.5, and a MK 1 50/1.8.
Oh and a Moskva 4
Anyone know anything about remote camera setups? Like the sort of stuff used at footballs matches on the grass behind the nets.
I'm guessing it's just a wide lens on manual focus with a pocketwizard or something of the like for triggering?
Just bought a Konica C35 in black, awww yiss. Gonna be an EDC, poundland-film-munching beast.
What's my best bet for basic scanning? I figure unless I was planing to shell out a couple of hundred for something decent I should be fine with anything that's got a backlight right?
a v500 is ok but so is a dslr takin a pic of ur thing if u got a macro lens or similar
v500 should be like £100
so is a dslr takin a pic of ur thing
please no
I don't have a DSLR. Got a Fujifilm X10 as my daily driver haha. Previously chucked my negs in with my housemates when he was scanning a batch but we've both graduated now and don't live together any more.
Googling budget scanning solutions now and there's loads of links being all "digitise all your negs super easy all you need is your 5D MKIII that you already own right?"
with a dslr and macro lens you have to get the right ratio (1:2 should be okay on APS-C but you need 1:1 on a FF camera), have a focal length that doesn't distort (would want around 70mm equiv at least), have the film be held perfectly level with your camera sensor, expose properly, stop down enough to ensure even sharpness across the frame (around f8 for APS-C and f11 for FF), have a dust reduced setup to remove additional PP steps, and have a light that exposes evenly across the film itself and doesn't cause pixelation
use a dedicated scanner
