I hate those then it dangles
It's like those special kids who have their mittens sewn to their jacket sleeves.

Then maybe better pockets?
Whenever I take off the lens cap I just put it in the left front pocket of my jeans. You'll never lose a lens cap that way, pretty sure.

Also this is apparently my post #777, let me just go and do a little dance here
i don't use lens caps. too much fucking hassle. only use them on my olympus lenses for filming, so i can tell which is which in the camera bag.
Never lost a lens cap here. I guess I just have good luck (and good pockets).
fuck that, i don't even bother with lenses in the first place
problem solved
H4Z3Y will recall the lens cap off the front of my 67 falling off at the top of Mt. Lofty, with it rolling down the hill a bit only to be caught by a newly planted tree shield thingy. Terrifying moment that worked out OK in the end.

The next day the 70d was announced with built in WiFi and iOS app + Video AF

In five years of photography I've never lost a lens cap.
The lens cap I have a problem with is the Hasselblad one. It's probably the most annoying and convient thing, quite a love hate relationship.
here's a good guide, it outlines many brands pretty well in a variety of tests

i have a hoya super CPL that i got for a good price, it doesn't do anything to sharpness from what i can tell, but it flares a lot and is hard to clean
I have a few questions guys... I've really been having some fun with my 600D (T3i) Lately but I'm not so happy with the photo quality...
I'm wondering if its the poor optics of the lens or the camera... Here are some examples.

Talking about the grain
[sp]The new 70D is making me cum buckets :v: [/sp]
any photo is going to look crap at a 100%, stop pixel peeping
it's the optics anyway
With the bird pic, you're shooting with the aperture wide open, so its already taking in as much light as it can, with the ISO all the way up at 2000. There just isn't enough light. You could use a lower shutter speed and just hold the camera steady if you really need the shot. You really needed more light.
The plane shots are out of focus and you're shooting at too high of a shutter speed, you're compensating for the fast shutter by shooting with the aperture wide open and the ISO relatively high. Next time try shooting something like that at 1/500 ish with a smaller aperture and ISO 200.

Don't be afraid to shoot in automatic or aperture priority then looking at what settings the camera chose, while you're learning.
I still use aperture priority all the time for quick shots.
I only shoot aperture priority ever manual is too clunky
manual + RAW + wing it
I do aperture+raw/jpg+auto WB and ISO
Also I got a vivitar 21mm f3.8 from a pawn shop today, it has a T mount so I need to buy an m42 mount for it. Might sell it, not sure yet.
Contemplating on whether or not to get myself a 35mm F/2 for my 7D. I have a 50mm F/18 and honestly the crop sensor can be really annoying. It gets way too tight often in man shooting situations I find myself in. The cheapest I found was on Canon refurb for 276 total.
Worth going for the 35mm? Any thoughts on those of you guys who own this lens?
aperture priority unless it's a bitch

I would get the EF 20 2.8 instead because 56mm would still be too narrow for me. 30-40 is the perfect focal length for general purpose shooting for me.
the 35mm f/2 is a really nice lens, tried it out on my 600D. It's a weeeeee bit tight but like, you'll get used to it and the extra stop is pretty useful
