when i get money i'm probably gonna buy a real camcorder and a proper steadicam thing i'm extremely terrible with diy stuff, i mess up everything

A "real" camcorder will cost much more than $1000. Look at the Canon xa10, that's a real camcorder. and that steadicam isn't going to be anything less than $200 for a knock off called flycam.

yeah they're ridiculously expensive i'm just using steadicam as a collective term for those things i'd even buy someones homemade because i can't make shit

cut a hole in a plastic bag, stick the lens through it, and use the handles. that's about the best I can do for low budget.

is a budget of say.. $100 feasible? for something that's not complete shit? i mean... i just do this for fun and my income isn't that great at the moment. i just need something to clear my mind on. sitting in ae really helps my brain work.

with the d3100 yes i think it turned out pretty good, but a rig would help

Use a program to stabilize the video, then motion track

when using stabilizing software it creates this small jitter which makes it look like shit, like the town hall shot
