It can compensate that much?
Anyways, looking for a cheap 72mm lens hood. Looked at eBay, the cheap $1-2 ones seem to be the screw onto the lens like a UV filter, no the proper hood. Still looking for the proper ones...
Your lens should have a good associated with it, and you should get that kind. Find the part number and look on keh.com to see if they have any, their prices are good for accessories

My mom has an ancient canon rebel and her 50mm lens won't come off! What to do? If I can't get it off I have to shoot with my minolta. What speed film should I use for a fashion show?
100-200 unless you want that cheeky high grain look in which case go for 400 tri-x and then push [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] pUSH [editline]27th September 2013[/editline]
What's a reasonably cheap way to block out light like an ND filter? Looking to be able to use exposures of maybe 10, 20 or 30 seconds even on a bright day, but ND filters seem pretty expensive so I wondered if anyone knew any low-cost methods, like maybe a cheap square filter that you just tape onto your lens or something. [editline]fasd[/editline] Also, my 35mm 1.8g still back-focuses slightly on my D7000 even though I have the AF Fine Tune set to -20, the lowest value there is :(
ALSO you can take a bunch of photos with a shorter exposure and then median-blend them together instead e.g. 1 30 sec exposure vs 30 1 seconds ones or whatever [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] AND you can film a scene for for 10 seconds, this will give you 240 frames each one done at 1/50th of a second (if you're using a 180 degree shutter) so a 10 second film of a thing will give you ~4.8 second exposure when you median-blend them all together

fuji superia 800. not as flat as portra, you'll have more punchy images and a classic film look.
fuji superia 800. not as flat as portra, you'll have more punchy images and a classic film look.
Portra 800 is flat? I don't know what kind of portra 800 you used but it certainly is not flat. It's expensive as hell most of the time, but it's really good film.
Portra 800 is flat? I don't know what kind of portra 800 you used but it certainly is not flat.
what i've seen it's a pretty neutral film. i'll buy a roll once i've tried this ektapress 800.

Im thinking about purchasing a mount converter for my Nikon 1 so I can put f mount lenses on my Nikon 1, this mount is on amazon for around 20 dollars the price dropped a lot which worries me but its only 20 bucks.

They dropped in price over time, but they are still built well
non-glass converters should be cheap anyway they're just a hunk of metal
So I tried making a cheap-ass wide angle adapter from some random lump of glass I found at a flea market. It has a 54mm thread. Both me and the camera shop had not a single fucking clue what the hell kind of camera that would of come off besides some 80's camcorder. I bought a 55-58mm ring and expoxied that on. Results: (in order: Narrow room, Wide room, Hallway and Outdoors) Kind of annoyed I have the black fucking fringe.
I'm looking for a video light, so I found this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/321110126970?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Anyone got some experience with these?

This is my first post on this subforum, but I just got a mirrorless Panasonic g6. Heard they were great for video. Besides a tripod and shotgun mic, what else should I get when I get more money?
This is my first post on this subforum, but I just got a mirrorless Panasonic g6. Heard they were great for video. Besides a tripod and shotgun mic, what else should I get when I get more money?
Quality lenses - portrait with a wide aperture is advisable.
Quality lenses - portrait with a wide aperture is advisable.
Extending off this, the olympus 45m 1.8 is supposed to be a great portrait lens. If you are looking for something a little cheaper, you can buy a Konica AR 40mm 1.8 and an AR to m4/3 adapter, you'll need to use all manual controls, but it should be cheaper and a good performer.

Do official adapters include autofocus and metering?
Cross posting, which is something I don't normally do, but I think you guys can appreciate and find it somewhat funny. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6643010/DSCN2451.JPG[/t]
