If I would shoot digital I would really look forward to it. Finally you can adapt glass without the annoying 1.5 crop factor. The price is reasonable too.
So with a Zenza Bronica, it takes some getting used to since left and right are flipped, ie if you see something to the left in the viewfinder and want to move it to the right of the image, you have to move the camera to the right, but with a SLR you move the SLR left.
If I get a viewfinder, will this change this?

And with that new A7, I like full frame on a compact-ish body, the compact nature is really the best part.
Stick a pancake lens on it and I'd be in love. It would be so conveniently portable.
a prism finder will fix that yes

The footage does look pretty good
Holy shit. It seems my father might be buying me a 6D to replace my broken 600D.
I am very hyped :v:
channel that into a nice lens instead
Why?
lens>body
but a nice lens on a broken body isn't gonna do much if the body is broken
that much is true
Sell the boken body for spares and you crop lenses, get a nice 50mm f/1.4 or something.

If you're going FF you may as well put that large surface area to good use and use it for some nice DoF shots.

what's broken on your 600D?
I'm guessing it's the whole body if your dad is thinking of getting you a 6D
The video features on the a7 look amazing, way better than my a77
If only the zeiss 24-70 f4 was cheaper I would probably ditch both systems for that setup :/ but for now I love my 16-50 too much to give up APS-C and nothing quite matches that lens. I'm sure the zeiss will, but $1200 is about what my lens and a77 are worth so I'm not sure I can do that.

The card reader.
Basically I can't do anything about it myself so I have to send it in to Canon for repairs and that's going to be expensive. So buying a new body makes sense.

I already have a 50mm f/1.4 :v:

I'll have to sell the battery grip for the 600D and my Sigma 18-200mm though, as that won't work properly for the 6D.
So that'll earn me some dosh I suppose, enough to maybe get a decent wide angle as well as a new battery grip.

I want this so badly, but it's a pretty expensive purchase.
Seems like it's a extremely well-regarded lens, especially for video
I've begun to notice that the MFT sensor isn't the best at low-light especially compared to full-frame. It's a shame but hopefully a lens like that would help.
Great lens, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it though. It's very expensive for a small format lens.
my 600D seems to drop audio for a couple of frames every second on a cycle, anyone else get this?

I have nikon F, Canon FD, and Canon EOS converters, so any lenses you recommend for any of those mounts?

as in there is no audio for some frames and it constantly happens?
Are you using an external mic or the internal one?
If external, check the connections and the cable. Try using the same external mic on a different camera and see if you get the same thing.
If internal, something else seems to be wrong. Try recording on different resolutions and frame rates. If the problem still happens on other resolutions and frame rates, it probably means your camera has a larger problem and you should probably contact Canon about it and get it fixed.

A decent fast lens (though a bit long) would be a Canon FL 55mm 1.2. Not the best wide open (more for nighttime stuff) but decent for low light. They aren't too expensive either at about $250 used
Also I recommend the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens for m43, it's a great semi-wide lens that's good wide open

I've watched more than enough videos that the 20mm f/1.7 is pretty good for it's price and what it can do
what about this?
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/887052-REG/Samyang_sycv35_c_35mm_T1_5_Cine_Lens.html
Looks pretty good for video, although 35 mm (70mm equiv) is pretty tight
Then if I'm still into photography/cinematography a couple years down the road I can use it on a bigger full frame camera. That's the reason I don't want to invest in a MFT lens, especially when I already have all the converters.

I would recommend buying a non-cine version of the lens as they run cheaper. Also the sony version sells for the least of all mounts and averages for about $300, you could buy an adapter for A-mount and buy it in that for the least amount of money, but if you don't want to use sony later then it's not that useful.
Lens is MASSIVE though.
Would still recommend the Panasonic 20mm
Tripods are not the same as a lens or a camera which is precision equipment.
WD40 is a solvent to loosen up things that rusted shut or something. It's not meant as any sort of lubrication because it's not a permanent lubricator.
It also creepflows to places you'd never want it.

Could also try using Magic Lantern, custom firmware.

I'd recommend not to get that because it's heavier and much larger than the photo lenses you can get for less. Plus that crop factor of 2x, you're not going to get much or any vignetting with regular full frame photo lenses. Although you would get even less with the cine lens, it's kind of unnessesary. On top of that, you don't really need cine lenses unless you're shooting at higher resolutions like 4k or film UNLESS you really want that T-stop manual ring or that smooth as fuck focus ring with distance markings.
The Samyang 35mm is seriously massive I'm not sure how they ended up with a lens so big. I was going to buy one but they are just too big imo. I have a canon FD 35mm f2 (chrome front) that I'm most likely going to use for full frame if I go a7, but even that lens is very heavy on full frame. It's hard to find a good sized, good performing fast 35mm lens.

Probably to make it T1.5 or to minimize vignetting
It still has average vignette control for its class
But look at this beast compared to the Nikon manual focus 35mm 1.4 (which is about the smallest in class for retrofocus 35mm 1.4's)
[t]http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/samyang/35mm-f14/D3S_5382-compared-1200.jpg[/t]
I have a pretty rag-tag group of lenses as is:
the nikon 70-210 mm (140-420 equiv) which is crazy hard to take still pictures even with a tripod
a canon FD 2.8 28mm
my kit lens, a lumix 14-42mm or something f3.6
I am being recommended that pancake lens from a ton of people though
get a 50
