Thats where I am looking but the camera I want never pops up and the lenses are being sold overpriced with a set price. It looks like the american market is more active but i dont want to pay shipping+customs.
Check the Phoenix AZ Craigslist, they've got some stuff sometimes. I live there and if there's a good deal we can try and work something out.
D3200 $100 off on amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ref=pe_172710_39441510_pe_button/?ASIN=B007VGGFZU hnnnng
You will find great deals on used stuff in your local area
Winter's coming in Finland and I'm wondering how well does the EOS 600d survive in subzero temperatures with maybe snowfall present?
it'll be fine [editline]10th November 2013[/editline] batteries will run out quicker though
Yeah I need to buy a battery grip.
Even so, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll still get hundreds of shots on one battery in the cold. Modern lithium ion batteries are hardly affected by the cold. Saying the batteries run out faster in the cold is a relic from the old kinds of batteries.
Suppose so but if you're gonna do long exposure photography in like -20C it would make sense for the battery to drain much quicker.
yeah tbh they'll probably run out quicker but it's probably an infinitesimal
I realized how awesome magic arms are
i want a nikon df thats hot
Df is the lamest high end camera anyone has ever made $2750 gets you: 1/4000 shutter max and only full stops available on the dial, the D4 sensor which is DxO's lowest rated FF sensor Nikon offers, absolutely no video modes at all, two hands required to change exposure in manual mode, a worse AF system than the D610, less comfortable top shutter button, no weather sealing, a body not much smaller than the current D600, and the biggest selling point is the use of AI lenses with metering but no way to actually support a split prism! Even the lens has $100 tacked on and is the same as the current G lens but has a silver ring. At $2750 aside from having a sensor that's only in the D4 (a much more expensive camera) it is by far the lowest spec'd FF that Nikon offers. The almost $800 less D610 has better features everywhere except uses a different sensor. The camera is retro for the sake of being retro, and a better shooting experience is being sacrificed for cosmetics. I would forgive at a lower price point, but at the price this is in the market it's actually insulting to customers.
[editline]10th November 2013[/editline] if u want a pretty camera start using film
What's a good starter DSLR? Thought about jumping in when the time comes with a T4i or 60D. I hate Nikon.
600d 1100d look @ sony too
nikon coolpix 2100
[editline]10th November 2013[/editline] if u want a pretty camera start using film
Yeah I mean there are so many pretty film cameras (these are selected from my recent purchases) The Zenit C Very small and light weight ish The Carl Zeiss Jena Werra 1 Very unusual camera, very clean styling The Exakta Varex VX Trapezoid Shaped, 100% not ergonomic and completely insane in terms of style And the best looking camera that I´ve recently bought (excluding the Leica M4~2) is the Russian made Voskhod Which is meant to be used in portrait orientation and has only a viewfinder sadly.
I hate Nikon.
???? [editline]10th November 2013[/editline] picked all this up for $70! [editline]10th November 2013[/editline] it's a k1000 with the 50mm 2.0 lens that came with it, and off-brand 80-200mm lens, and a weird "multi-image" filter.
What's a good starter DSLR? Thought about jumping in when the time comes with a T4i or 60D. I hate Nikon.
Why do you hate Nikon?
lens issues?
Why do you hate Nikon?
I've just had bad experiences with some of their cameras, and I've had nothing but good experiences with Canon.
Winter's coming in Finland and I'm wondering how well does the EOS 600d survive in subzero temperatures with maybe snowfall present?
I think you should be more worried about the big tempature difference between outside and inside, make sure fog doesn't end up in your lens!
I've just had bad experiences with some of their cameras, and I've had nothing but good experiences with Canon.
i know you're banned and all, but what actual issues that could crop up repeatedly would turn you off nikon?
The one thing I hate about Nikons is the shitty Live View bugs for video recording, it pisses me off to no end. Besides that, Nikon's are great for photos but I do a lot of video so Canon was the best choice as I wanted to do both.
Going with the X-E2 instead and 35mm f1.4 and dropping the 18mm f2 to afford it. Also I lent out a Tokina 28mm f/2.8, I was sure it was working before (I haven't used it in years), but it got returned with the focus not working. The person using it said they never ended up using it and I forgot to check if it was working fine before lending it out. Fuuuck.
just bought one of these p much brand new for 10 dollars http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/ef_lens_lineup/ef_50mm_f_1_8_ii can finally sell my kit lens yay
keep your kit lens, it's a good wide angle
i know you're banned and all, but what actual issues that could crop up repeatedly would turn you off nikon?
I'm more in to video and so Canon with all the external mic business is better then that compared to Nikon.
I'm more in to video and so Canon with all the external mic business is better then that compared to Nikon.
Video on Canon is a million times better than Nikon
What's the best cheapest used full frame on the market?
What's the best cheapest used full frame on the market?
How about a Zenit it'll set you back about £10 and its full frame, but it uses film.
