Nothing wrong with APS-c anyway.
im guessing that when a DSLR has the battery in it slowly drains it, seeing as how when the camera is off but the battery is in the viewfinder is really bright, then when I pull it out the viewfinder gets kinda dim and grainy and shit [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] also this sigma im talking about. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/381616-REG/
that's because when a lens is powered off its aperture automatically closes down (depending on make), the grainy-ness you're seeing is just the texture of the matte focusing screen the camera doesn't actually stop the lens down until you shoot, for autofocus accuracy to get the most light possible and making the viewfinder bright you can press the DOF preview button to have the camera stop down the lens to the shooting aperture and see the dof and the grainy and shit viewfinder [editline]17th November 2013[/editline] tbh they should just make a mirrorless camera with a viewfinder like the trip 35 because i dont like liveview and guess focus is good enough
Do the pentax lenses (if any) fit the full frame image circle?
someone should make a digital camera like the pen f with a sideways mirror, that would allow a really compact slr [editline]17th November 2013[/editline]
I guess pentax was some what future proofing their lenses for full frame
Pentax limited lenses don't fuck around seriously if they had an FF with those three it would be an unstoppable force of excellence [editline]17th November 2013[/editline]
someone should make a digital camera like the pen f with a sideways mirror, that would allow a really compact slr [editline]17th November 2013[/editline]
http://m.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmcl1 http://m.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse330
I just looked at the full line of pentax lenses, I like the different style of the focus distance markings
Part one is here, exciting.
That's a nice case...
Yeah I was thinking that, it was stuffed in there much nicer when it arrived, I just put it back in a haste.
where do you guys buy your film, and what are a few of your favorites?
where do you guys buy your film, and what are a few of your favorites?
walmart
where do you guys buy your film, and what are a few of your favorites?
amazon portra 160/400
Ektar 100 is cheap on amazon, $5.61 for 36 exposures so it is hardly much more than Kodak Gold
where do you guys buy your film, and what are a few of your favorites?
B&H Portra 160, 400, 800, Ektar 100.
Ektar 100 is cheap on amazon, $5.61 for 36 exposures so it is hardly much more than Kodak Gold
I've been shooting with Kodak 200 gold for the past few rolls, and I really love it, but I want to see what else is out there.
Hope you don't mind me posting this, my final two cameras are on UK eBay if anyone is interested: Hasselblad 500CM and my Nikon D7000. If anyone uses Polaroid I have type 100 1500 iso sepia film going as well. So concludes my journey in photography, for now!
farewell
Why are you stopping taking pictures?
Headups anyone wanting to go mirrorless, if you buy a Fuji x Pro 1 with an XF 18mm f2 you will get a free 35mm 1.4, 60mm f2.8 macro or 27mm f2.8 pacake lens. http://free-xpro1-lens.co.uk/ (it's legit). [editline]19th November 2013[/editline] Literally like £500 of free lens.
For the guy rating it optimistic, here's a link of it on big name websites. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras/digital-cameras/compact-system-cameras/x-pro1-compact-system-camera-with-fujinon-xf-18-mm-f-2-r-wide-angle-lens-21836928-pdt.html http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/product/fuji-x-pro1-with-18mm-f2r-lens-kit/331-777PROMO/?tracking=|searchterm:x|pro%201 Triple post playerrrr
That's a great deal but I feel like the X-Pro2 is around the corner.
I think it is, but even then you can sell the xp-1 body and you'll still have saved a lot of money.
and then you can sell the lens you bought and the free one and probs make a bunch of money [editline]19th November 2013[/editline] like seriously you'd get ~700 from selling the xpro + the kit lens and then ~400 from the lens [editline]19th November 2013[/editline] probably more like ~800 for the xpro+kit if you sell them together as new too
I really want this lens http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/394223-REG/Pentax_20290_smc_Pentax_FA_31mm.html But at almost $1300.... =(
Why are you stopping taking pictures?
I think the idea of doing anything creative comes across as a chore to me now, mainly because the pressure of making stuff as part of my arts degree. I'm in my 3rd and final year making an interactive documentary, which is a lot different from the photography work I did in 1st year but I still struggle with motivation. This may sound strange but a day before my dad passed away unexpectedly nearly two years ago, I planned to take my first proper portrait photos of him that I would use in a project and to treasure personally. He came back late from work so I never got the chance to take the photos and that was the final time I saw him. This project was my response to that. Combine it with the fact I'm in very few pictures with him growing up due to a split family, results in me dealing with anxiety and depression that uni pressure doesn't help one bit. I can't figure out why a lack of photographs is so important to me, but it causes grief. I don't know how much sense that makes, but my dissertation topic should help clear it up. Hopefully after uni and with some time away to clear my head, I can get back into this section because it used to be all I logged in for back in the day. It was so much fun to learn and develop along with you guys so I only hope I can be back soon. I take the odd photo on my phone, so that counts for something. ;p Did some reading today on cameras, Nikon D600 looks nice!
The D610 is out which is just an update to the D600.
The D610 is out which is just an update to the D600.
Because of a production fault that makes the D600 spit grease on it's sensor.
I see.... http://petapixel.com/tag/sensordust/
What's the film scanner that everyone here uses? Just picked up a load of rolls of superia xtra 400 and want to try shooting some film
