I have the 35mm f1.4, it's really good. It's extremely sharp and focuses fast, lightweight and solidly build out of aluminium. About the "clack" sound, I don't know about the X100S but the X-E2 still has a mechanical shutter and makes a nice sound.
No leaf shutter or ND filter in the X-E2, not a problem. The 35 1.4 samples are pretty great, mind if I ask where you bought your fuji stuff from? I figure I will try and loan out the XE-2 + 35 asap, my shooting habits could easily change but if its light and easily carried around all day then I think that will count the most.
I got the lens from Digital Rev because I get discounts from them and the camera from Camulet because my local store seemed to be the only place that had them in stock. Can't say much about Camulet since I just walked in and bought it but Digital Rev got the lens delivered from Hong Kong in 4 days for free and it was wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap to make it safe, not to mention the lens was about £60 cheaper than other places from DR.

Was considering DigitalRev for an X100s, good to know they are as good as I read.
There's plenty of reviews, but yeah, not as many as some other cameras. It's not as popular as the big DSLRs people think they need to shoot pro.
X100s has a leaf shutter which makes it great for flash work (can sync at any shutter speed)
Why is the shutter sync for flash so slow on something like the gh3 compared to a 7D (or whichever DSLR has 1/250th)
Nikon 28mm f/1.8g or Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 DX II will the tokina be a decent "kinda fast" lens? i want something wide angle for landscape stuff, but I still want something significantly faster than a kit lens.
The tokina looks like a pretty good wide What's your kit lens? The tokina is pretty fast.
nikon 18-55 f/3.5-f/5.6. I want something wider, but im kinda stuck between tokina 11-16 and 12-28 [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline] 11-16 is f/2.8 and the 12-28 is f/4
Why is the shutter sync for flash so slow on something like the gh3 compared to a 7D (or whichever DSLR has 1/250th)
Mechanical shutter limit, some prioritize faster sync (fastest true mechanical speed is 1/320 iirc). I couldn't tell you exactly why but its just a mechanical limit.

The 12-24 is full frame and aps-c. If you want more zoom on the wide angle, get the f/4. If you really need that extra light, get the f/2.8. At that wide angle, pretty much everything will be in focus even at f/2.8.
I got some new gear, and i have to post it here. I just picked up a mint condition minolta maxxum 800si, kit lens, one telephoto lens, house, batterygrip. Never used, bought by an old man but then he lost his sight, sadly. Payed bout 70 euros for the entire thing, including a over the shoulder carry case. So excited. Anyone got tips for a good film to put inside, with preferably rather vibrant colours?

part of me wants to sell the 600D and go for a used 5D2, but i really like the flippy screen for video, but the 5D has all full frame advantage, more flexability than the BMPCC (it takes photos, crop factor). i also have like, no glass that makes FF worth it, but again, i can save up and get a nice 35 1.4 or s/t [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline] plus you can get 1880x960 raw video out the 5D2
So excited. Anyone got tips for a good film to put inside, with preferably rather vibrant colours?
if u want colors then go with ektar [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline] it's slow tho
12-28, not 12-24
Disregard me mentioning about full frame. It's really between different apertures
12-28 12-24 1880x960 600D 5D 5D2 35 1.4 18-55 11-16
man everyone is concerned about all these numbers. fuck the numbers
man everyone is concerned about all these numbers. fuck the numbers
but my resolution but my zoom but my aperture but my low light performance but my sharpness but my moneys but my budget but my camera model but my camera brand but my storage space but my number of photos I can take before I switch cards but my image quality
it's because the d1 only had a 2.7mp sensor so it was a lot easier electronics wise for them to get it to have a minimum hot time of 1/16000 of a second [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline]
Mechanical shutter limit, some prioritize faster sync (fastest true mechanical speed is 1/320 iirc). I'm glad I have such a simplistic view towards photography, numbers r dull
So excited. Anyone got tips for a good film to put inside, with preferably rather vibrant colours?
fuck colours man just load up a Tmax400 and develop your own film, much more rewarding!!
fuck colours man just load up a Tmax400 and develop your own film, much more rewarding!!
Whilst id love to, I work at a lab, and i figured id develop the film by myself in the lab. sadly, we do not have anything but c41 processing capability. Which makes me sad. Either way, Im not huge on black and white, doesn't suit me. Thanks for the tips, everyone.
xp-2
I'm glad I have such a simplistic view towards photography, numbers r dull
point at object make sure it's in frame click
point at object make sure it's in frame click
nah more like i shoot with one body and one lens ha
tbh i just take out my camera and have a mad one
nah more like i shoot with one body and one lens ha
Never shoot with the same camera twice
point at object make sure it's in frame click
2 much effort dont even look at the camera just throw it at someone and wait for them to throw it back
The inability of my Mju ii to focus properly makes me want to smash it against a wall.
