Best birthday present ever
Nikon's firmware update recently made third party batteries not work
well that's just my luck back to using manuel focus and timer :( edit: wait, are you talking about the camera's battery, cause that's an original one from nikon themselves?
Nikon's firmware update recently made third party batteries not work
what cameras are affected?
what cameras are affected?
Most of the newer models, not quite sure exactly but if your Nikon has an update that's what it's for. They called it some battery life extension update but it stopped third party batteries from functioning [editline]11th December 2013[/editline]
wait, are you talking about the camera's battery, cause that's an original one from nikon themselves?
Oh I'm sorry I thought you meant a 3rd party battery. Yours should be working fine
How do you do a firmware update on a camera? I haven't plugged my Nikon in for years.
first check if there are updates https://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13783
doesn't look like anything that important i can live without i guess
Why would Nikon do this
Good thing I sold my Nikon heh. [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] wow the D90 never had a firmware upgrade. ~it was perfect~
since I know they need a firmware update to release for them to make new firmware hacks to nikons, is there a way that someone could upgrade the max framerate on a camera to 1080p/60fps instead of just 60i
whats a good 120 film camera thats mostly portable and cheap
holga [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] jk just get one of the old folders or a nice tlr really just get the tlr
im looking at folding fuji cameras an i like what i see
For folding cameras I believe this is one of the best made, and it has a built in rangefinder http://vintagecameras.classicphotographics.co.uk/stocklist/zeiss/zeiss-super-ikonta-53216 Also the dealer is a good guy who is very honest about his items.
ikontas are pretty cool I have the mess one, super ones are going to expensive though the regular ones are good enough if you're going for one imo tbh w/e

mamiya c series tlrs are really nice and solid, though maybe portable isn't quite the word to describe them
How's the video recording quality and such?
It's "ehh". I'm sure the consumer version will have better video quality. Camera is 5MP and records at 720 right now I think.
Is there still that recording limit? If so how long is it?
Hold once and it's a 10 second clip, press once more and it will pretty much record until you hit the 4GB limit, your battery dies, or the glass melts off your face (Srsly. It gets pretty warm).
Oh goody, I always wanted a face warmer during the winter! Wait so you have to constantly press it to continue recording?
Oh goody, I always wanted a face warmer during the winter! Wait so you have to constantly press it to continue recording?
Nope! Just once to record past 10 seconds and then again to stop.

Make sure you have a MF scanner and check prices for development at local labs
