seeing everyone here shooting film and there pictures makes me want to try it again
I've had an X-E2 for about a month now so I've had some good shooting time with it. Paired with the super cheap, sharp and tiny 18mm f/2 it has been the best decision I've ever made with photography, smaller is better. I thought the EVF wouldn't be as good as an OVF but you can see so much more when it's dark, it has the amazing ability to amplify light and I've not noticed any lag. It looks like I'm looking through an enhanced OVF. So that's it, I'm sold on mirrorless, I'm recommending this over SLR bodies. Same quality, way more convenient package.
i've been rocking mirrorless since '10, they are awesome tech. my EVF in my a77 is wonderful, i just don't use it that much because i'm so used to composing images at chest level haha
Yeah I'd love a flippy screen.
Yeah I'd love a flippy screen.
~~~Sony A7~~~ :v:
i wish my d5200 had a flippy screen like the A7s but still could fold out to the side like it already did. it was annoying shooting from the waist and having to let the screen be folded out
legitimately i can hardly use a camera without a flip screen. i don't even know how i use the rx100 sometimes lol
legitimately i can hardly use a camera without a flip screen. i don't even know how i use the rx100 sometimes lol
ahaha, i always use the flippy screen for video. no more awkward neck strain!
~~~Sony A7~~~ :v:
But it's so big.
Learn to handle things you can't handle
It's still too big. People would be like "oh a photographer, better act all shy or avoidant".
When can I starting taking screencaps in my brain?
as soon as you are ready
just hold your eyelids open with your fingers and stick a sensor under your eye [editline]8th January 2014[/editline] what are your guys most used lens(es if you cant pick just one). Do you think its mostly useless to own a 35mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.8 (on crop sensor)?
most used is my 16-50mm f2.8. great lens for most all situations (except very low lighting or narrow portraiture), and super sharp. performs better stopped down than some of my primes even. then for my nex it's probably my sigma 30mm f2.8 or canon fl 55mm f1.2. the sigma is great for landscapes because it is so incredibly sharp, and the canon is fun to mess with.
yeah I figured that a 35mm would be better than a 50mm. I think I'm gonna get a sb-600 flash to get into more advanced flash stuff but I still am not sure if I should get a 35 1.8 or a 17-50 2.8 lens wise. I am leaning towards the 35 right now
i would sell all (4) of my lenses and buy the 17-55 2.8 "used - very good" on amazon for $799 right now if i could. i love the 35 1.8 but i've had it for two years now and the number of times i've had my back against the wall trying to fit something into the frame has kind of gotten me over it. that's more my fault for bringing the wrong lens than the lens itself, though.
I don't quite get how cameras like this: (Samsung WB2200F SMART Camera) Are able to have ridiculous lenses with such extreme ranges. This one is a 20-1200mm f/2.8-5.9
Oh that makes sense.
It's got 20mm on the wide end? That's pretty crazy honestly
Insanely small sensor, that.
20mm on the wide for a superzoom is fucking impressive
what are your guys most used lens(es if you cant pick just one). Only 28mm and below catches my interest on a crop sensor.
35mm every day on a full frame wait [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] awww YEah [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] 7,936 posts and all of them shit
20mm on the wide for a superzoom is fucking impressive
Your fucking Avatar.
20mm on the wide for a superzoom is fucking impressive
Hm that is a pretty insane range

With the super image stabilisation found on cameras like this her photos of the wildlife were far higher quality than anything I managed to get with my D7000 and a 70-300 lens.
lens distortion is a moot point unless you're into fisheye terror because it can be fixed so easily in post
