Was my theater the only one where pretty much every single adult tore up in tears at the final scene? 60% of the theater was college kids and they were all holding back tears behind their 3D glasses....I honestly think this has affected us the most (college kids) because we grew up with Andy. I wish I had some of my old toys still preserved (I've moved like 11 times in my life, lost all of them).
I found this to be the funniest of the three, oddly enough. There was more subtle comedy in this than the others. Making a second sequel is a daunting task because the audience knows the characters, knows the way they behave and knows what could be coming. This is why most Hollywood trilogies fail on their 3rd installment, its just too repetitive. Not ONCE during Toy Story 3 did I feel like I've seen all this before or that it was "been there, done that!", it was simply Pixar-perfect.
Simply put, flat-out fabulous ending to the greatest animated trilogy ever. I hear a $153.8 million opening weekend? Thats enormous for a film like this. Biggest ever for an animated one, too.
Best part of the whole film for me was Mr. Tortilla Head.

My theater was laughing right up until the end. Sort of aggravated me on the sad parts.
I loved TS3 and I'm glad Pixar made it, but I think they should stop with this one. We don't want another Shrek on our hands.

It is the end. That was what they were hyping up in the first place.
i almost cry at the end... but i'm a man!
Real men aren't afraid to cry, because real men aren't afraid of anything.
Although this movie was good, I don't think it was as good as Wall-E or Ratatouille. I sort of forgot most of this movie after I left the theater. Also the 3D was completely not necessary could have saved lots of money.
I thought the 3D added a lot to the scenes without being distracting.
It's a good thing if you don't notice it's there because that means you're immersed in the movie and aren't playing attention to "Whoa 3D!"
It was great for the intro short film and first five minutes of the movie, and it definitely added a scary factor with [sp]the monkey.[/sp]
I would go see it in 3D again.
Just finished watching it. When I heard it had got it's US release, I was pissed because I live in Europe. The first thing I did was look it up on a streaming site - I just had to watch this fucking movie!
Massive Spoilers, ahoy!
Though the quality was horrid (because of the fact I was streaming it)... Well, [sp]in the beginning, I laughed so much, and there wasn't so much of nostalgia, because the voices aren't the ones I grew up vid (dubbing). When the camera switched to Real Life-mode, and I saw Andy, I got goosebumps. Then came the music. Oh my god, I started crying. Call me a fucking crybaby much you want, but a movie has NEVER got me to cry.
Then there was the scene when they were sliding into the firepit. I cried. It was tense as fuck. They ran, and I screamed for no reason for them to hurry up. The bear got up, and I didn't think much of that - until he turned on them. I fucking swore at my screen, and I was in tears. The next minute was tense. I thought nothing could save them - and out of nowhere comes THE CLAAAW.[/sp]
My two favorite scenes... It feels like I'm re-living my childhood...
And don't you worry - I am so fucking buying tickets for this movie. I want to see it at it's full glory in a cinema with my best friends. And I'm buying it on DVD. It's gonna get a special place on my shelf.
Now to find my Good ol' Buzz Lightyear toy. It's been so long since I saw it. But I know it's in the attic...

Gonna go see this with my friend.
[sp]I thought the baby and the monkey were the funniest shit ever. But the scene of them falling into the smelter was so fucking[/sp] :smith: [sp]Not because I thought they were going to die, but because THEY did. I don't think there's ever been a moment in TS where they just resigned themselves to death :{[/sp]

I know what you mean... [sp]It was EXTREMELY well made[/sp] :smithicide:
Lotso is probably one of the best villains ever.
[sp]And the last scene gets my Oscar prize of Best Heartwarming scene of the year. You see those characters you loved for over 10 years... They just accept their fate... And they hold each other hands, close their eyes and hope for the best... I was CRYING so much in this movie.[/sp]
Oh yeah. [sp]Spanish Buzz FTW. "Lo vaquero!"[/sp]
Lotso is a pretty generic villain.
Also, the monkey.
And you know the worst part of this movie? Its over. No more Toy Stories.
I am going to miss them...
And I am getting goosebumps, remembering of my first time watching Toy Story 1...
God... Goodbye Toy Story. You were a friend to all of us.
Oh, and [sp]I sadfaced a lot when Woody listed some of the characters that had been donated. Bo Peep :([/sp]
-snip-
Spoiler, sorry.
Oh yeah, there's going to be a Toy Story Short in front of Cars 2.
Talking about shorts, Day & Night was pretty awesome.
So is it worth $7 plus gas money to go see it in the theater?

Yes.
I'm doing a mega-review (spoiler part, spoiler free part and Day & Night review) on my blog.
So is it worth $7 plus gas money to go see it in the theater?
You bet.
Anyone here went to the attraction based on Toy Story on Disney World? The shooting game. Toy Story Midway Mania. Anyway, I found this carnival game of You've Got A Friend In Me and I would love to share.
Get it here.
I saw it twice on opening day and the first time I saw it was the first showing.
Both times I got teary at the end but I never cried.
I saw it a few days ago, lots of nostalgia.
i loved it

.
this movie had so many adult themes that kids would never pick up.
The ending of the film was very sentimental. I was on the verge of tears during the last twenty minutes. It's a great movie, I think it merits a second viewing. Excellent stuff.
Can someone post a picture of the garbage man? I know he's Sid and all but I just want to see him in TS3 as a mind refresher.

Would've been neat if they had given him a line or two. :P Believe it or not, I liked Sid. He was a little terror, but he was a great character. He was that one kid we ALL knew (or were).
I mean, he gets hardcore excited for poptarts. It's great.
I am seriously just fucking done with 3D. I'm not going to pay five extra bucks to wear some annoying shitty glasses that adds a completely unnecessary effect that desaturates the screen. It's like watching a movie on a shitty TV with those things on.
Fuck 3D.

Sid was based on Andrew Stanton as a teenager, actually.
Forgive me for being ignorant, but who is that?
