I never really noticed the 3D.
Seriously, I grew up watching Toy Story. I can say with strong affirmation that the third movie was superb. It was different than the other two because you knew that Andy was going away and that issue needed to be solved. I've watched some hardcore dramas and never cried, but Pixar finds a way to make it happen. I cried during Up, and I almost cried at the end. I had a huge lump in my throat but I used all my might not to cry. Pixar has matured as a company, both artistically and theme-wise. They have by far the best animation (in terms of detail and fluidity) around. They also make movies that can cater towards everyone and allow for some complex development. Essentially, Dreamworks suck Pixar's dick.
My theater doesn't get 3D because they're cheap and won't upgrade.
My favorite movie of 2010. Made me laugh and cry. i thought the scene were [sp] Lots O Huggin bear was tied to the truck and the frog said "Keep Your Mouth Shut"[/sp] was funny and the last scene in the movie was a very sad moment.
[sp]The Lotso punishment part confused me. Why did the trucker put him in the front of his car's grill now?[/sp]
I saw the trailer to the Toy Story 3 game, and I was like, "ppft, no thanks." Then I finished watching the movie, and realized how fucking awesome a "Toybox" style game could be.
[sp]The Lotso punishment part confused me. Why did the trucker put him in the front of his car's grill now?[/sp]
[sp]Generally when you see trucks you'll notice that they sometimes have plush toys on the grill, and seeing as the Truck driver had one as a kid it's only natural that he put it on his trucks grill[/sp]
I never really noticed the 3D.
It was just a slight pop-out, that's it.

I enjoyed this movie far more the second time for some reason.
I just came back from seeing this about an hour and a half ago. I must admit: I teared up.
[sp]Pixar NEVER give the villain a gruesome death. Lotso's fate is worse than the Prospector. being tied to the front of the truck [/sp]
[sp]Pixar NEVER give the villain a gruesome death. Lotso's fate is worse than the Prospector. being tied to the front of the truck [/sp]
Maybe he'll find a way to escape, or be torn apart by Junkyard Dogs. Of course, no toy can die from being ripped apart (as evident from Sid's constant dismembering of toys), meaning that poor Lotso, if some dogs get their hands on him, will be trapped in an I Have A Mouth And I Must Scream situation until someone sews him back together, which will be quite a long time.
Just got home from seeing it and I cried like a fucking baby I mean seriously, the only other time I've cried from seeing a movie is Forrest Gump. I was literally sobbing at the end where [sp] Andy gives his toys to Bonnie and they play with them for about and hour or so.[/sp] That part hit me HARD. Also, the [sp] incinerator scene made a few tears slide down my face, just seeing them accepting their fate together as a family just got to me [/sp]
Awesome movie. Not that I expected anything less.
I had some weird vibes that Andy [sp]knew his toys were "alive"[/sp] by the end of the movie.
his toys were "alive"
spoiler
[sp] I didnt cry at the end, but the incinerator scene had me choking up a little bit; I was getting close to tears though... but no cigar. lol [/sp]
spoiler
I don't see how that's a spoiler.
Adding in a little something here, anyone else think that Dolly had a sexy voice?
I didn't cry because it was a children's movie.
Yeah, that's actually the "darker" scene of the movie, since pixar actually never tempted to make their characters endure such rude treatments.
Only one "good" toy has ever died in the series. Sid's dog Spike ate up a little green man in the first movie.
The alien guy was still alive at the end. Sid blows up a soldier though.
:o The little green man lived? I thought Sid just tossed him to the dog and that was the end of it.
When the toys surround Sid in his yard, it comes out from under the dog bowl.
