You can't fault the guy for being good at one or two genres of movie.
Better than to be a jack of trades, expert at none, i suppose
Watch Arrested Development, he is by no means a bad actor. And he looks like he'll do good in scott pilgrim. At least he CAN play other roles, he's just taking the parts offered to him.
I'm looking for that one Michael Bay movie that had action.
You can't fault the guy for being good at one or two genres of movie.
Yes I can. I would really get tired of playing the same character after about two to three movies and would get my agent to find me a better role. If all he can do is be the awkward guy that's wooing the girl of his dreams, he's a terrible actor.
He's probably a better actor than you are. :colbert:
People really need to stop using this argument. The critic doesn't need to cook better than the chef.
I'm looking for this one post on Facepunch where someone describes Michael Cera's movies in a such a way that implies they are all alike.

There's lots of things that I would get bored with easily that other people enjoy doing frequently, why can't playing a certain role in a movie be one of those things? Also, yeah I find it funny that he plays the same role in every movie, but that doesn't inherently mean he's a bad actor.
If I found out that Michael Cera had just been run over by a bus, I would actually be slightly happy. With the exception of "Arrested Development" and maybe "Juno" he has been shitty in everything he has ever been in.
I'm looking for that film where the guy is like that and he does this but in the end he does something else.
I'm looking for that one Stanley Kubrick film that makes you think.

I'm looking for that one thing where that thing happens.
I actually thought about Youth in Revolt before I realized the OP was a joke. :/ I like Cera... a few movies of his suck but its mostly the directors fault and his position to play a socially awkward teenager is asking for mistakes obvious to the audience that seem more unintentional than intentional for his part.
He was good in Scott Pilgrim.
And have you seen it? I highly doubt it as there is only a trailer to be viewed, no doubt it will be a great film with Edgar Wright directing and the way Empire has been promoting it I expect it to be very good. p.s. Iam huge fan of the comics hopes the film does them proud
I'm looking for that one Tyler Perry movie where all the black people in it are so stereotypically black that it's almost racist.
I'm looking for that one Tyler Perry movie where all the black people in it are so stereotypically black that it's almost racist.
I saw Madea Goes to Jail, I was expecting a comedy and I got a drama about a prostitute. The fuck!?
ive never seen any Tyler Perry movies, I dislike directors that put their name in the title of their movie.
ive never seen any Tyler Perry movies, I dislike directors that put their name in the title of their movie.
Mostly everyone then?
And have you seen it?
Mostly everyone then?
No one but him does it, what are you talking about.
No one but him does it, what are you talking about.
By everyone I was saying that he doesn't like any directors, because they all put their name near the title. It's a fucking stupid philosophy anyways, lets get past it.

I'm looking for that Clint Eastwood film where HE DOESN'T FUCKING SQUINT OH MY GOD. EVEN INDOORS I MEAN FUCK IS HE ASIAN?!
When did it become the bandwagon to hate on Michael Cera?
The straw that broke the camels back for me was Youth in Revolt.
I don't think he's a terrible actor, I mean, he really does that awkward-softspoken teenager role perfectly. Only problem is that's really the only role he can do, so you know what you're getting before you even see the movie.
I'm looking for that psychological thriller where the main character has multiple personality disorder in the end. Anyone know?
There is a difference between being a bad actor and doing bad movies, and just because he's had a few doesn't mean all future ones will be terrible.
I'm looking for that Will Smith movie where Will Smith always has something funny to say. No?
I don't think Will Smith was ever in one of those.
I'm looking for that movie where Tommy Wiseau plays the main character in a movie he made and none of the scenes have any real point.
