Oh Farnell, get your site back on-line and take my money!
YouAreDoingItWrong ‏ @YouAreDoingItWr @Raspberry_Pi Just got off the phone with Farnell in Denmark, they will ONLY sell to companues, citing the official RPi site's policy
Holy fucking shit
So basically the launch was a success right? :v:
What the shit just happened.
Fucking Element 14. Give me my raspberry.
No price was found for product 2081185. Item was not added to basket. Register your interest. :(
What the shit just happened.
A couple distributors had a chance to prove their ability to handle a popular new product.
This is awful.
I cant imagine the amount of traffic the minute the raspberry went onto these two sites. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] Oh god the malaysian website has 2 raspberry model b. One costing £25 and the other £30.
I'm kind of excited at the fact that i managed to put the thing in my cart on Farnell. Of course I'm going to have to wait now, but whatever. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] Their site requires that I have something in "Address Line 2", huh?
Damn this went fast.
Launch failed
Ordered. Took two hours, but we finally got there. Don't think people who didn't already have a Farnell account stand much chance tbh.
Heh, checked out on Element 14 aka Farnell Malaysia. Hope it works.
Looks like they should have hoarded a lot more of them...
Delivery Charge: TBA
I'm not sure I like this.
I'm not sure I like this.
Same. I'd like to know what I'm going to be charged... Oh well! Lets do this.
I'm not sure I like this.
I'm going to leave it for now, wait for the hype to die down. They need to sort themselves out right now.
Apparently the price shown includes shipping.
Apparently the price shown includes shipping.
Evidence?
Does Farnell accept PayPal?
and I don't know what do to about "Address Line 2" under Delivery Address, I have nothing to put there but it's mandatory.
and I don't know what do to about "Address Line 2" under Delivery Address, I have nothing to put there but it's mandatory.
Doesn't look like it here.
and I don't know what do to about "Address Line 2" under Delivery Address, I have nothing to put there but it's mandatory.
i put a period [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] and FYI if you're from the US I think you're supposed to use https://export.farnell.com
Doesn't look like it here.
That looks like invoicing
I wonder how fast they're going to be "built to order"
That looks like invoicing
I've just went through the entire purchase process and I've only had to use the Line 1 box.
Now to hope that my order doesn't somehow disappear or something unfortunate like that.
Yay!
Well the export site is down for Farnell, I guess maybe they should've chosen better companies to work with :I
