Also, it says it comes with no OS amongst other things. Yet they sell an SD card with the OS installed, do I need to buy that SD card?

"Dear Lee, Thank you for registering your interest in the Raspberry Pi with us. We are very pleased to tell you that we have begun volume manufacture and you will shortly receive an email giving you the chance to pre-order your Raspberry Pi" Just a quick question about the power supply, is it the usb that works with a PSP and the like, or is it a different one? I'm confused

I basically spent the entire day playing around with my Pi, I feel tired.
Anyone know how well SIMH would run on this? want to try to make a PDPi-11. As SIMH has no trouble running on a single-core duron with 128mb RAM, the memory and CPU should be more than sufficient but i'm more worried about compiling/etc...
Plug it in to a power supply? Does your router have a "power on" button?
Yes.

I got something from Newark/Element 14 today in the mail. I was so happy. It was an advertisement. It had two things- one paper that said what was newly added, and the second was a brochure to element 14. Fuck.
I hate all of you guys whom already have it. I don't even have a shipping confirmation yet...
Mine said it was shipping "very soon"... ...the week of June 29th :v:

Mine should be delivered today, but the damn parcelforce tracking won't give away any details.
So, I'm thinking of making a full portable media center with this. But, I can't find any small (7", 11") monitors that aren't touchscreen. Can anyone find one?

If I use a 256MB SD card I have with only a bootloader on it, can I use that to point to a USB drive and 'cheat' the SD-only boot?
If I use a 256MB SD card I have with only a bootloader on it, can I use that to point to a USB and 'cheat' the SD-only boot?
Yes. You could have an SD Card in the Raspberry Pi loaded with a bootloader then have it point to alternate storage device such as a USB flash drive or USB harddrive. I believe it says this on their website somewhere. Edit: A 10 second Google search later and I found it. Its the "How does it boot?" FAQ under the General section. Well mines finally "out for delivery". Now to hope I can actually find my SD card.
Spotted a 14" USB monitor for 120 euros. Shit just got attractive.
Is this the type of thing I will need to power my raspberry Pi? http://www.gearzap.com/raspberry-pi-3-in-1-charging-pack-model-a-model-b.html

http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/travelpower/d0bc/?srp=8 I wonder, could you power it with this? Ignoring monitor and things like that but just the Raspberry PI?
Hook 16 of them up with attached little screens and smaller controllers/flexible mouse+keyboards and have a portable Quake 3 tournament.
