Still waiting for mine. Ordered from RS, order number 96xxx, apparently I'm waiting for them to get more clear cases.
Que? Since when do they ship with a case?
RS&Allied had a little shop you could use once with the code you got from the invitation to order. With the Pi you could also order different kinds of cases, more SD cards and some other stuff.

Oh, that wasn't there yet when I ordered.
I may be really late, but people were asking about cases.. Lego?
I may be really late, but people were asking about cases.. Lego?
Well lego would somewhat work but i'd prefer this It only costs 6€ anyways.

Good news! http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/2180 The Raspberry Pi now ships with a more comfortable 512MB of RAM for the same price!
Ordered a bunch. On a totally unrelated note: Give WebKit some RAM. WebKit LOVES RAM.
Whoops. My 32gb SD card that I used for my pi decided to fuck up and be unreadable by everything. I guess that's what I get for buying kingston products.

Still waiting on dispatch, hope they decide to ship me the 512 model with mounts.
Minecraft Pocket Edition is being ported to the Raspberry Pi: http://www.mojang.com/2012/11/minecraft-is-coming-to-the-raspberry-pi/
I'd like to get one of these to make a sort of computer/media center thing for the passengers in my car on long trips, any ideas where I could get started?
I'v gotten a hard-on for the Freescale i.MX6 quad-core SoC Cheap, quite powerful and full access to all software and documentation. AND it's almost as powerful as the Nvidia Tegra 3 used in the Asus Nexus 7 tablet, and smokes last years top model phones.
I'd like to get one of these to make a sort of computer/media center thing for the passengers in my car on long trips, any ideas where I could get started?
A cheap china tablet? Just stay away from the cheap single core one's
Ideally i'd like to use the RPi, but would those get the job done better?
There are actually some weird little handheld PCs that run Android. They're little rectangular boxes that have USB input for KB and mouse and some sort of video out, usually HDMI. I couldn't tell you where to look for one though, but I've seen them online.
This little thing is awesome. I got mine for free (from rob bishop himself :D) and it now resides permanently connected to my TV with openELEC, since raspbmc sucks dick. It's pretty amazing how I can watch anything, at any time, with Navi-X, or just stream from my computer either from the menu or from my android phone using yatse. I however have no case as of yet. How safe is the Pi without protection?

It's a little bit sluggish and doesn't like every HD video clip. Works fine with "ordinary" videos though It's software issues that needs to be ironed out that's the cause of that. Be aware that they usually only have HDMI-out for sound and video. I'd wait a little until the K802 hits trustworthy online retailers.
A few questions...How long does it take to ship on average? What have you guys done with them? I was thinking an SSH tunnel, web server, file server, or something else... What do you guys think? Also, when programming it (C/C++ in gcc), is it any different than a desktop? Thanks!
