anyone else [SP]heard cat sound durring Black Panther's soft land in airport showtime scene[/SP]?
So I'm not going crazy, I was the only one in the cinema who seemed to have heard it.
that and the following [SP]scene of them lying on the floor after knocking spidey, sweet jesus they better return Bucky in next movies just for more interactions with Falcon[/SP]
[sp]Literally every scene where those 2 interacted had the entire cinema laughing, if they don't bring those 2 back together I'm gonna be pissed. :v:[/sp]
I just saw it. Its was HOLLY FUCK good
W/ the AoS discussions, I really really enjoyed Agent Carter.
The way Jarvis just fucking [sp]shot Madame Masque point blank[/sp] without even stuttering is the way everyone should handle a villain.
[sp]Jarvis went full Punisher.[/sp]
I don't remember seeing [sp]Madame Masque[/sp] in Civil War. Are you talking about AoS?

Agent Carter.
Seeing it tonight, can't wait to see the new Spider-Man in action.
I'm also liking it a lot more now. It's sort of become its own thing.
But the whole point of that show is that it's a spy thriller in the MCU, now it's just inhuman patrol, it's not as compelling on its own and there's no mystery like there was with the whole Tahiti thing. I don't think there has been one episode in series 2 or 3 that has rivelled the series 1 final.
They could at least cross it over with Dare Devil, Punisher or that other Netflix show.

I hope they don't cross it over with anything that's actually high quality. Feel like I'd have to watch it then.

So, in season 2, [sp]the whole buildup to the underground Kree city (which was a continuation of the whole TAHITI thing), Terrigenesis, Afterlife, Gonzales' S.H.I.E.L.D, and the thing with Skye's parents being Mr Hyde and an inhuman[/sp] wasn't even slightly mysterious?

Let's not forget the entire build-up to [sp]the ATCU, ancient Hydra, the obelisk, Maveth, and Hive[/sp] in season 3.

I can't defend any of those things. I haven't enjoyed them. The [sp]Ancient Hydra and Hive seem like really bad ideas.[/sp]

You should watch AOS, its an amazing show.

I wasn't defending them. I agree, their interpretation is not great, but there was mystery leading up to their reveals, which is what I was talking about.
Saw Civil War, I liked it a lot, though the CG looked a bit wonky at points.
Spider Man was fucking AWESOME. Truest interpretation of the character yet.
Civil War is easily my favorite Marvel movie and easily one of the best Marvel movies if not the best.
I've seen it twice this week already and loved it both times. It's incredible how they managed to introduce 2 new characters, introduce Ant-man to the universe proper, follow up from Winter Soldier AND do Civil War, one of the most complex and controversial stories in comic books without it seeming bloated.
After BvS I was very worried for this movie but Marvel absolutely knocked it out of the park and showed DC how to do new characters and large scale comic events right.

I think DC movies are cursed to becoming awful. With the one exception of The Dark Knight (the other two Nolan movies weren't anywhere as good).
You should watch AOS, its an amazing show.
It is not amazing. It is passable.
Civil War
No one was right, no one held the high ground except for Panther, everyone was both on point as characters and as plot vehicles to move things forward or put a point in perspective.
I am forever grateful that the Russos are in and Whedon is out. Zemo was also great. Not as refined or cohesive as Winter Soldier, but just as compelling at the end of the day.
CG
CG was actually pretty amazing for the most part, but there was pretty obvious differences in quality level between differing studios and I do not envy being the post vfx wrangler for this movie.
There was one scene that was CW level bad in the Winter Silo, but thankfully it was brief.

I think they just need a guy like Kevin Feige to lead everything. Apparently there are just a bunch of directors and writers in DC and nobody is running the ship, which is probably why BvS was such a mess. It's a shame really because I think there was a lot of great stuff in the film, but I think they just went "throw everything and see what sticks"
The problem with DC is they have spectacleitis.
The key to heroic endeavor is heroes do it naturally. Goyer makes a specific fight sequence with specific moves and then tries to justify it. The Russo do it the opposite, and we can see which method works and which surely surely does not.
Just got back from seeing Civil War. Holy shit, that was a great movie. Without spoiling too much, the airport fight scene had a lot of really creative match-ups. I went in with high expectations and still came out impressed as that scene exceeded my already high expectations based on what I had heard.
Spiderman's characterization is pretty great as well.
The one thing I really disliked was the extremely shaky camera in most of the action scenes.
It was kind of annoying, but it wasn't Bourne/Batman level fuck off enraging.
I didn't think shaky cam was too bad. I was worried about it from the brief snippets we saw in previews, but in the context of the movie I honestly didn't mind.
Only trouble I had with shaky cam and the action scenes was with Black Widow. I really like the character, and Scarlett Johannson is one of my favourite actors, but I can't help but feel like she just doesn't have much to do in fight scenes.
Like, we've seen that legs-round-head thigh twister for 3 movies now. She's not as strong as Cap or Bucky so that's fair enough. I think the problem is the rating really, because Daredevil doesn't really have superpowers and his fight scenes are absolute gold. In these movies the strong characters and even the characters with missiles and stuff can just kinda knock people around, but you can't really have Black Widow properly beat people, so we get these shaky sequences where she twists around people and there's a lot of throwing.
Got back from seeing it. I agree somewhat on the shaky cam. It wasn't thru the whole thing, but some scenes could have done less without.
Everything had a purpose in this film, and it was great. I need to watch it a second time though to catch everything, there was a lot squeezed in.
Overall I wish Ant-Man specifically had a little more screentime. I could always use more Wanda. There was just the right amount of Black Panther and Spider-Man.
One of the best marvel films if not the best. Goes to show that marvel still knows how to handle a franchise and can handle 10 complex characters in a single film.
Also WHY THE FUCK IS [sp]AUNT MAY SO HOT[/sp]
So is there any confirmation JK Simmons will be Jameson again? They put him in the spiderman cartoon after all. Honestly no ones gonna top him.

Speaking of I'm kind of curious where ultimate spiderman stands. It has coulson in it and all
[editline]6th May 2016[/editline]
Some kind of purgatory or relic of Disney not thinking Sony would budge?

Knowing marvel they won't recast him. Someone could try to petition or get the word out though, but who knows.
