JK Simmons is playing Comissioner Gordon in the DCCU so no
I'd jump that ship aka train wreck for MCU in a fucking heartbeat
Civil War was pretty good.
Spider-Man was better than I hoped for.
And fuck Tony.

Apparently JK Simmons is down
Oh. And the Russo brothers are leagues ahead of Whedon, even in the quip department.

For us who follow this kind of stuff on the internet it would be easy to distinguish things but for most of the public it would be too confusing to have a new spider-man with old characters from pre-MCU movies. People could think the Spider-Man trilogy is part of MCU and the main character was just recast like they did with Hulk. Really don't think Didney would want that. So yeah, no.

And they wouldn't have with Civil War? It's already well established that new Spider-man is a reboot stashed into the MCU, and the Spider-man trilogy was ALREADY REBOOTED BEFORE, and seeing him the way he is in Civil War [sp]its obvious he's green, he doesn't even have a fucking costume[/sp].
Also the title of the new Spider-man movie shares the name of a Spider-man comic that tells the black suit and Venom story, which was in the Spider-man trilogy. No ones that dumb and someone being that dumb would be absolutely inconsequential to the point that it'd be stupid to think Disney would base its decisions off of that.
[editline]6th May 2016[/editline]
Also the Incredible Hulk film actually had an end credit stinger with Robert Downey and has references to it in the MCU. Spider-man trilogy doesn't.
Just got back,Spider-Man was awesome and I can't wait for his own movie,Ant-Man was let again awesome,Black Panther awesome, to basically sum it up the movie was awesome. I want to see it again.
The few Agents of SHIELD [episodes] I saw were intriguing in how action sequences would have agents running around shooting the same extras in different hallways.
Honestly felt like Spider-Man was added in at the last second. Besides the fact that he was mainly CGI in the airport fight, almost every scene with him felt like the CG backgrounds were a bit rushed. It persuaded me otherwise when they [sp]took down Giant Man and Spider-Man fought Bucky and Falcon in the terminal.[/sp]
What surprised me was [sp]how strong they showed him to be. I mean he went head to head with Bucky ánd Falcon simultaneously and won quite handily despite being COMPLETELY inexperienced ánd them having a definite physical advantage. Same for T'Challa, he took out Bucky and Cap (seperately) fairly quick.[/sp]
judi dench played m in the bond films since 1999 all the way to last year, despite casino royale being a reboot
theres not much confusion, especially since maguire peter parker was a grown man and hollands parker solo movie is literally subtitled as "homecoming"
I think it was more like since 1995.

If we're going to get JK Simmons back, I want Tobey Maguire to wear Tom Holland's clothes and act in every other scene without anybody mentioning it. It just cuts and boom, totally different actor who is considerably older, dressed like a highschooler.

Also can we superimpose Rosemary Harris' face over sexy May?

Human Torch is Captain America. Disney don't give a fuck :downs:

[sp]One has a literal panther god inside him and exactly how-old-he-is years of martial arts experience, the other has again, literal spider reflexes, which makes him pneumatically powered in the range of ten tons per square inch. There was no "catch up mode".[/sp]
That was a bit unfortunately revealing, could you tag that.

[sp]I know how strong they are, it's just that usually new characters don't immediately get shown as being able to beat established 'strongpoints'. I mean, Spidey is 15/16. Sure, spiderreflexes, but he's tiny compared to Bucky/Falcon and took them on no problem. Bucky's metal arm is shown as being strong enough to overpower Iron Man's armor/servos and Spidey just casually catches it.[/sp]
Also yeah, might wanna spoiler that just in case.

JK Simmons was the best ever JJJ but I'd rather have a new actor in the role to properly establish this series as something new. Also the chance to see somebody new doing something different in the role.
My own little selfish dream is a Spiderverse inspired film where Holland, Garfield and Maguire star alongside each other. One last film for Maguire and Garfield. You could have a lot of fun with the Spider-Men making fun of each others flaws. Would gladly see Simmons return for scenes in that.

But [sp]they don't have a physical advantage. Spider-man has super strength. He picks up and throws a truck at Bucky[/sp]
maybe [sp]Bucky didnt really want to hit him with full strenght[/sp]?
but yea, [sp]new Spider-Man seems to be really strong in most cases, i really wonder who is going to be his counterpart villian in his incoming movie, also was Vulture ever been confirmed officialy or only by rumors so far?[/sp]

But he should [sp]be really strong. The problem isn't how strong he is in the new film, it's that no film prior to this bothered showing his incredible strength.
Vulture is only rumour.[/sp]
I'm actually worried about the new Spidey film. Holland is incredible. MCU is usually pretty spot on. But it's still got a healthy amount of Sony involvement, isn't the implication that the MCU team can only advise?
The writers and director for Spider-man: Homecoming are all below average in quality. Director is very inexperienced. I can tell they've gone for what's cheap, same for a lot of the casting too. Spidey in MCU films is great but I hope the solo film can keep up the excitement.

[sp]Well I mean he did stop a speeding train with his own body, and hold onto a tram car over a bridge.[/sp]
Only thing I can complain about the movie is the god awful soundtrack, especially during the airport scene
[sp]Well I mean he did stop a speeding train with his own body, and hold onto a tram car over a bridge.[/sp]
He passed out after that though. It was certainly hetoic, but the same film had him nearly get pancaked by a wall of sheet metal

Wasn't that the whole point, though, to have [sp]new characters come in without origin stories/movies and have them "established" already?[/sp]

It's rare because the wakandans don't like to share.
"Went from"
That's how it always was
anybody mind explaining how [sp]vibranium went from "rarest metal on earth" according to howard stark to becoming a material strictly made by wakandans[/sp]
[sp]vibranium is only found in wakanda. wakanda is one of the most closed-off places on MCU earth. imagine a lil' self-sustaining, less fascist north korea in africa. it was extremely difficult to get that rare material out of the only place where it's found. nothing has changed[/sp]
anybody mind explaining how [sp]vibranium went from "rarest metal on earth" according to howard stark to becoming a material strictly made by wakandans[/sp]
It's always been only found in Wakanda. They have loads of the stuff. As explained in Civil War, they've only just started reaching out into the world.

Rarity of metal can come from how easy it is to process over quantity found.
Fun fact: The French Royal silverware in the 1600s was made of aluminum - because at the time, it was more rare than silver.
[Sp]if stark only had 36 hours how the hell did he design a new Spidey suit and get back to Germany in 12[/sp]
