Oh yeah i forgot, its already retconned that [sp]Tony Stark into not being Howard and Marias biological child.[/sp], i forgot.
:tableflip: I can't even. Then who are?
:tableflip: I can't even. Then who are?
Their actual child is [sp]Arno Stark, Iron Man 2020, who was like terminally ill or something, so they hid him in a hospital and adopted Tony.[/sp] Knowing Bendis and his Jew fetish, he's probably going to make him Jewish now. I'm serious by the way, he mutilated and butchered the Guardians of The Galaxy just so he could turn it into Jews in Space, his words, not mine.
This reminds me, were they planning on the vest he uses actually having a big white skull shaped armor piece, but halfway through went with the spraypaint look? I say that because the general shape matches the cheekbones, the top ridge of the brow, each nasal cavity hole is subtly indented on the armor, and each tooth is actually fully modeled onto the armor with indents and everything.
I cannot unsee the giant skull modeled into his vest now.
Just got home from seeing Civil War, finally. Great things: -Crossbones [sp]Felt like they pulled him straight out of the comics, real shame they had to kill him[/sp] -Black Panther [sp]Was surprisingly impressed by how much character they put in him with such little screen time[/sp] -Zemo [sp]The best villains are the behind-the-scenes villains and Zemo played this perfectly I think. Was great to have a villain fight the Avengers other than "we want to dominate the world".[/sp] -Falcon & Bucky [sp]The Beetle scene. Nothing more to say[/sp] :v: -Spiderman [sp]Did a great job, though he looked heavily CGI the entire time[/sp] Mediocre things: -Scarlet Witch [sp]Was noticeably missing for a good portion of the airport battle, only to have her captured afterward. Felt like her only purpose in the film was to have another superhero in it.[/sp] -Peter Parker [sp]The whole Tony Stark visiting Peter's apartment felt incredibly unneeded and forced and was basically an advertisement for "hey we have Spiderman". The whole scene could have been taken out.[/sp] Bad things: -CGI: My god the CGI was so bad in this movie. It's not that it looked bad per se, but it was made in such a way that was painfully obvious it was CGI, especially [sp]Spiderman and the Vision fighting[/sp]
I think it was supposed to be like 'oh this armor HAPPENS TO LOOK LIKE A SKULL ILL PAINT IT'
Overall, with the exception of Ironman and Black Panther, I think 90% of the screen time for the other superheroes could have been cut out for more Captain America + Bucky screen time.
Overall, with the exception of Ironman and Black Panther, I think 90% of the screen time for the other superheroes could have been cut out for more Captain America + Bucky screen time.
the balancing was pretty decent though. just remember that these guys are planning on stuffing like 70 people into the two-parter.
the balancing was pretty decent though. just remember that these guys are planning on stuffing like 70 people into the two-parter.
I think they said they have a list of ~70 people to choose from, not that they intend to use all of them. I'm betting it will be closer to 20-35 or so.
I think it was supposed to be like 'oh this armor HAPPENS TO LOOK LIKE A SKULL ILL PAINT IT'
DDS2 Spoilers: [sp]He got the idea for the skull from his own x-ray[/sp]
I cannot unsee the giant skull modeled into his vest now.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Ok7c0IR.jpg[/t] [editline]15th May 2016[/editline]
Either way is better than "here you go Dad, this skull t-shirt is an omen that will protect you from the bad guys, I sure hope we don't all get brutally murdered, providing you with the perfect opportunity to take it as your symbol of vigilante justice ;)" a la 2004 Punisher movie.
Well it gave Franks kid something to do other than being shot in the face and dying like every other version, at least.
yeah it's definitely coincidentally molded into the vest he happens to find
-Falcon & Bucky [sp]The Beetle scene. Nothing more to say[/sp] :v:
[sp]Although let's be honest, Cap would never have driven that little Nazi-mobile.[/sp] I mean, come one, he's Captain America.
[sp]Although let's be honest, Cap would never have driven that little Nazi-mobile.[/sp] I mean, come one, he's Captain America.
[sp]except in the first captain america movie he definitely takes and uses nazi technology, much like how BJ Blazkowicz in wolfenstein almost exclusively uses looted nazi gear[/sp]
[sp]Although let's be honest, Cap would never have driven that little Nazi-mobile.[/sp] I mean, come one, he's Captain America.
[sp]that's implying he knows hitler made the volkswagen. he might simply think it's your average german automobile.[/sp]
Civil War could have been called Avengers 3 in my opinion.
Overall, with the exception of Ironman and Black Panther, I think 90% of the screen time for the other superheroes could have been cut out for more Captain America + Bucky screen time.
They could have been cut but it wouldn't feel like a Civil War at all if they weren't there.
I wouldn't mind an extended cut honestly. It was long, but an extra 15-30 mins would help those instances of iffy pacing/tone.
We'll probably get the standard 3 deleted scenes and all that. That's probably the biggest disappointment with these Blu Ray releases, Disney will only throw in 3 or 4 deleted scenes even though there's much more. I know for GOTG in the bloopers there was some unaccounted footage and James Gunn himself mentioned deleted scenes that didn't end up on the disc

They just trimmed down all the existing ones. Some in a big way, but they say there's really cool or worth seeing that was deleted. It was just longer versions of what we have
Civil War could have been called Avengers 3 in my opinion.
They don't avenge anything though
They could have been cut but it wouldn't feel like a Civil War at all if they weren't there.
But it really wasn't civil war at all.
But it really wasn't civil war at all.
Well, they've laid the groundwork. It was always going to be more of an adaptation than straight up civil war. They don't have the rights to all the key players and nobody has a secret identity really. I really think (and hope) that this is just the beginning. We need to see repercussions in all marvel properties, not just a casual namedrop as before. [editline]15th May 2016[/editline] Also it's kind of way too big a story to resolve in one movie. That would have been BvS levels of terrible (since they tried to do Dark Knight Returns and then [sp]Death of Superman[/sp])
If Cap 4 ends up just being a Falcon and Bucky buddy-cop film I will be more than happy.

Near the beginning, the Russos talk about how Civil War will continue through the rest of Phase 3.
If Cap 4 ends up just being a Falcon and Bucky buddy-cop film I will be more than happy.
Kinda weird with the ending of civil war, [sp]it said "spider-man will return" and not "captain america will return".[/sp]
Kinda weird with the ending of civil war, [sp]it said "spider-man will return" and not "captain america will return".[/sp]
[sp]the spider-man movie will probably continue the events of civil war. captain america was only planned as a trilogy, there's no fourth movie on the rise since evans is dishing out after avengers 3. same with pretty much the big four, they were only signed on for so many movies.[/sp]
There was never confirmation that Chris Evans would stop being Captain America
his contract ends with avengers 3. from what i've read, he isn't planning on continuing the role but wouldn't be opposed to it.
i have trouble even keeping up with all the marvel stuff. i gave up on it i dont have time to see all those movies. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!
