I came home today from the local comic store with about $80 worth of comics, my itch to buy has been scratched for a long while. Got the full Secret Invasion, looking forward to reading that.
Problem is I always go to a comic shop with an idea of what I want and they usually don't have it and since I rarely go and am pressed for time when I do I end up buying something I look at for a sec and say "yeah that looks ok" Usually wrong unfortunately. I think $70 a year for most of marvels all time catalogue on the go seems fair enough. Certainly better than murdering my phone space with a huge backlog of .cbr I suppose. [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] $100 plus membership sounds neat. The action figure they mail you is probably worth $30 itself alone right? [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] Comixology unlimited started today and it's boasting same service style with most of the non marvel/DC comics for $6 a month DC doesn't have one of these yet I heard but I dislike new 52 and only stuff I read is Batman and I'm confident I've read most of the top tier stuff. I'll probably look at reviews of comixology unlimited and decide to get it but I definitely want marvel unlimited, has most of what I want to read it seems. One things for sure these Netflix of comics is waaaay better than paying physical sticker price per digital issue that we used to have
How is JJ ? I'm just not sure about this story I have not a good feeling if I will love it, but is there any crossover like AoS and Avengers in this show ? I have see all shows from marvel like DD, Agent Carter, AoS and movie alot of times... if I dont see JJ I will miss some side story ? And S02 of DD will have some crossover with the others stories ?
just like daredevil most of the netflix series wont be doing crossovers with the main cinematic universe nor agents of shield they do have slight crossovers between other netflix shows daredevil is used as a pilot for punisher, and jessica jones was used as a pilot for luke cage theres just 1 wee bit more but that involves spoilers
Luke Cage was happening regardless of how JJ did. The original plan was Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and then a Defenders miniseries. Punisher has been added onto that because of his reception in Daredevil.
My comic store will hold comics you want if they come into their stock within a month. They get a new shipment each week so there's 4 chances the comic I want may be in it and they'll hold it for me right as it hits their door if I ask. No extra payment, either.
Psst. [sp]It's a shit ending with little consequences. Like most every major event Marvel does[/sp]
Is the [sp]first/middle part any good at least? Also, any suggestion for any 'good' major marvel event stories?[/sp] [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] I've mostly stuck to single character comics as the big marvel events ones often include and focus on characters I simply never cared about but recently I've been feeling the need to branch out a bit. I would say 80% of my comics are Captain America, the rest being Daredevil and Punisher.
So pages back I got some shit for disagreeing that Spider-man wasn't missing from LEGO Marvel Avengers because of game rights but because he wasnt in MCU prior to launch day Today spider-man is added to the game in a free DLC with 5 other characters including Miles Morales [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] I really hope the scarlet spider is the good one and not the stupid marvel now one
is that on all systems or is it exclusive?
None of the media says so. Comment on trailer says PC version is missing. Maybe it's an update on PC instead of DLC? No idea. Apparently this is the last DLC so if daredevil and punisher aren't in yet they won't be :/

But the whole story line resolves itself by the end of the event, and nothing really sticks.
Finally saw Civil War, I give it BIG WHITE TEXT/10

Dunno if it was posted here but luke cage's villain is going to be Diamondback Ehhh I'm not really feeling it but we'll see
That costume looks like it came from a 90s VHS
Looks like they just made Steve Rogers into a villian in the comics.
Horrible. [editline]26th May 2016[/editline] Just another reason to hate Marvel NOW!

Hopefully I'm wrong

I really hope the MCU completely ignores that idea forever [editline]26th May 2016[/editline] Why does it seem like marvel fucks up everywhere but live action these days, Jesus
The MCU cannot make Cap a Hydra agent even if they wanted to, especially not after Winter Soldier. Like, what could possibly have been the motive to unravel all of Hydra in that? What could they say 'the long game' was for Steve?
Dunno, keeping cover? Coup? Wonder what the reasoning in this comic is... Hopefully they retcon it with some skrull/clone/brainwash shit down the line.
You guys know why they're not going to use this in the MCU? Because it's stupid, that's why
Thankfully haven't noticed any marvel now! BS in MCU yet so we can only hope the people in charge figured that out [editline]26th May 2016[/editline] They even made punisher talk shit about masks in daredevil, I kinda wonder if that was a deliberate jab at marvel now's punisher run where they had the awful idea to give him a mask
Looks like they just made Steve Rogers into a villian in the comics.

We decided just to fuck with stuff again because we're desperate for ANYTHING that will boost sales at this point, and then Donald Trump became famous again so it's totally topical guys, it's the story of our time.
Completely. Fucking. Mental.
I love Nick Spencer and it's really obvious that this is just a storyline and isn't the new status quo, but it still sounds kinda stupid. Like, they'll have to do something really unique with it for it to pay off instead of "HE WAS MIND-CONTROLLED THE WHOOOOOLE TIME".
if they avoided killing hundreds of kids for no reason in the opening of civil war what makes you think theyll make captain america go evil then again, joss whedon decided it was brilliant and in character for stark to make an omnipotent ai to watch over the whole world
I don't see much wrong with that last part
Luke cage seems really bland and generic right now. Hopefully I'm wrong
Oh shit! You've seen Luke Cage?? Is it good bro?
