An external opinion on Marvel's decision:
More like Captain America: The WORST Avenger
Was it just me or Oscar Isaac was a little bad as Apocalypse? Sure the writing itself was bad and the film was mediocre but for me it looked like everybody else worked out with what they were given. It was a double let down for me because I think he is a good actor and Apocalypse is one of my favorite villains all time.
Gonna see it in like a couple of hours but what I've already noticed from trailers and promo stuff is he's 1000% or 5%, there is literally no nuance to his performance at all, it's either full ham indignant yelling or just broody stare #34, and nothing in between. What makes Magneto work is his journey through his flaws, what makes Thanos work is his long game smile and certainty he's got the right plan. All I see from Pockyclipse is [CRANKED TO 11].
I much rather have had Apocalypse controlling the horsemen (Like he did in the X-Men Evolution cartoon) instead of convincing them to join his cause. Psylocke and Angel are simply there. Wolverine should have been a horseman, maybe Mystique too.
is that god butcher storyline any good?
The movie was ok. Merely OK. [sp] Singer works best when it's mutants versus the man and how people should/would feel about that, and it shows in spades. Apocalypse has NO motivation. None. He's just ARR. BAD. ARR. They could have had him as slave who became the Pharaoh and learned some hard ass lessons that he tried to transmit on to others, but nah, he's just a phoned in motivation peepee head who hates weakness, complete waste of both villain and actor. There's two scenes where he starts to form a character, and both are rather short. Most of the heavy lifting is done with the usual suspects in the usual places, and of course those are the best scenes. The movie is also fucking busy, very nearly veering off into Riddickitis territory, and is pretty much saved by decent acting and a couple of solidly delivered if perfunctorily played out action sequences. Maybe Singer should have done his original plan, which was for him and Vaughn to rotate on movies, cause frankly the man seems tired in setting up delivery and executing both combat and premise. Still miles better than BvS, but completely lacking the pathos and impact of CW, which is pretty ironic considering they're essentially covering the same territory. That said the New Crew Electric Bamf Boogaloo obviously had a lot of fun doing their scenes and Peter once again steals the movie, not once, but twice, along with a great assist from Kurt and Scott. [/sp]
I thought it was pretty good. Not the best xmen, but not as bad as some of the others.
As a fan of Cyclops since I was a kid, does he at least have a good part in this one? I was always miffed at Singer's "rendition" of the character and from what I saw in the trailers, this doesn't really look like a step up.
Yes.

Hey Ben and Kains are both top tier.

Wasn't he, like, dead for the entirety of the 3rd one? [editline]27th May 2016[/editline] Oh, that's the joke. Sorry.
Looks like they just made Steve Rogers into a villian in the comics.
It isn't even the worst thing they've done to cap in the comics, that's how bad they are. Theirs one occasion where he gets addicted to super meth or some shit
God. Why the fuck did they decide to neuter the position of Editor in Chief to the point where that shit could happen. [editline]27th May 2016[/editline] Like the moment you try and make sense of it even a little it falls apart. Fucking, the dudes lifted Thors hammer, so either Red Skull is brainwashing him through telepathy because Xavier brain, HYDRA were good all along, or Odin just likes Nazis.
Odin liking nazis would explain why MCU cap couldn't pick up the hammer [editline]27th May 2016[/editline]
Hey Ben and Kains are both top tier. Is it his clone? [editline]27th May 2016[/editline] Also I don't like Ben Reilly spiderman suit, I like Ben Reilly scarlet spider (turn hoodie, super red suit)
So Sony is doing an animated spider-man movie that releases in 2018. This one will have him be Miles Morales as spidey. http://www.hypable.com/sony-animated-spider-man-miles-morales/

To be honest I'd love it if they made more mention of the Norse side of all the paranormal stuff Hydra/Nazis were doing. Obviously there's a direct link at the start of the First Avenger with the cosmic cube, but it'd be neat to see Thor summoned by Hitler like he was that one time in the comics. [thumb]http://www.top6things.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/6-hitler.jpg[/thumb] It could be like that time Indiana Jones got Hitler's autograph

He decided to hero it up and his entire run is pretty much "Kaine wants to be hardcore but Texas wont let him".
Logs into facebook...
the new captain America triggers me
Fucking Christ people these days. Can we stop the whole everyone has a secret agenda against _____ kind of people. Why cant a dude just write his fancy fan fiction without people shit their pants?
That post-credits scene in X-Men:A tho... [sp]Mr.Sinister, weapon x, Cable and more Deadpool hype?[/sp]
[sp]X-23?[/sp]
[sp]X-23?[/sp]
this is what first popped into my head since they were taking [sp]wolverine's blood samples. then i saw the essex thing, and didn't even think about cable since he'll be in deadpool 2 anyway.[/sp]
That post-credits scene in X-Men:A tho... [sp]Mr.Sinister, weapon x, Cable and more Deadpool hype?[/sp]
Or just just the first one. Vials and briefcases.
There has been an update about the GoTG ToT rumor:
Just an update from a trusted source, but news from TDA is that DCA's ToT extreme makeover (Bob Iger IP Ego Edition) is now showing up on planning calendars, with the ride tentatively closing September 19th and reopening in May of 2017. The bigger plans for the pre-show and some additional exterior work were agreed to by TDA and the closure will be longer now, instead of waiting until next January. The financial greenlight won't happen until July, purposely until after Shanghai opens. The WDW version is still stuck in limbo for a list of operational and logistical reasons exclusive to the what was once an amazing vibrant and dynamic theme park and working studio, but is now a sad corpse where you can buy lots of Star Wars crap but not actually experience any ... well ... you know ... attractions.
Source. Sounds like we might find out if GoTG is officially coming to DCA or not soon.
So...A Guardians of the Galaxy themed ride may be in the works? It's hard to tell since every relevant thing in there is an acronym.
Anybody going to London Comic Con tomorrow? I'll be cosplaying undercover Cap from CW. It's simple, I know, but we all have to start somewhere. If you see someone dressed similarly like this and wearing a belt with Cap's shield as a buckle then you'll have found me. EDIT: pic of the cosplay
