Dont worry, Deadpool 2 is introducing Cable and Apocalypse teased Mister Sinister.
I'd say the quote probably changes the context a little.
this is true, they could just be introduced in aos and then crossover into the netflix shows, isn't there supposed to be something going on with the more supernatural characters anyway?

Still not as fucky as Maximoff/Pym family tree.
It's a family where the secret kid of an estranged wife raised in secret Russian facility producing brainwashed agents is considered to be a believeable backstory.
Apocalypse was pretty mediocre and while Deadpool is sure to be a big money maker in the years to come, I feel like we could incorporate a different set of X-Men in the MCU just fine; it'd benefit everyone involved and the common theater-going audience will be able to fathom coexisting alternate universes considering all the other shit the MCU has pulled off and made work.
Have the Fox movies be an alternate universe where there are only mutants, but then we can have the MCU introduce Mutants as being a relatively recent development.
Like, only now, in the present day, is the X-Gene starting to manifest as shit like laser eyes and wind powers rather than, like, heterochromia.
So you can still have the "world that hates and fears them/filthy muties get out" stuff because your average bystander in the MCU is used to metahumans in the form of The Avengers, with their SHIELD backing and strong leadership from Captain America himself.
But now one out of every thousand school kids can level a city block with seismic waves or walk through walls or some shit, so it causes some controversy.
Same thing with Spider-Man; in the MCU, secret identities aren't really a thing, so it stands to reason that private citizens with powers could be discomforting to people who are only used to billionaire philanthropists like Iron Man or literal demigods like Thor.
"That Spider-Man wears a mask? WHAT HAS HE GOT TO HIDE? EVERYONE KNOWS WHO STEVE ROGERS IS."
"Little Timmy is a MUTANT? I DON'T WANT THAT MUTIE FREAK IN SCHOOL WITH MY KID, AT LEAST THE AVENGERS KEEP THAT HORRIBLE HULK UNDER CONTROL."
Not to mention, it could work as a pretty good allegory for social progress and prejudice, as the X-Men often do.
"I DON'T WANT SOME DIRTY-GENE FREAK PISSING IN THE SAME BATHROOM AS MY CHILD" and so on (though that might be a little on the nose, admittedly).

Combine the Fox X-Men, Story Fantastic Four, Jane Punisher, Cage Ghost Rider, Lee Hulk, and Webb Spider-Man movies into an Ultimate Universe.

Thats why we leave Tugboat out of it.
He's too pure.
[sp]He's part of the Ferrigno Hulk, TV movie Daredevil, TV movie Thor, TV movie Doctor Strange, Lundgren Punisher, 90's Cap MC2 universe[/sp]
I'm not a fan of X-Men being in the MCU, I mean sure big fun fights but... I'm not sure
I'd be of fan of Deadpool being in the MCU
The latest deadpool/spider-man issue made a joke about Batman v Superman

As well as deadpool's own movie.

How do you know Sinister is going to be on Deadpool 2? Was it confirmed somewhere? Because for me it looked more like a teaser to Wolverine 3 or New Mutants.
essex corporation were the guys taking wolverine's dna, nate essex is mr. sinister. also, he won't be in deadpool 2, just cable.
so yeah it sets up shit for wolverine 3 more than likely, but could also tease mr. sinister as a villain for the next main film.
Was I the only one kinda hoping the Apocalypse stinger was leading up to a Deadpool cameo?
Like, some suit types need to get their Weapon X back, so they bring in the best guy they know for the job.
"We normally wouldn't ask this of you, but you're by far the most... qualified man for the job."
"Really? It's my "qualifications" you're after? Sure it's not my $360 million domestic box office?"

I uh... Never said he was?
Yeah he just said that cable is confirmed for Deadpool
But TBH sinister was the villain in the Deadpool game that had cable so I mean it's a possibility maybe?

Sinister is a general X-Men villain and usually has some association with Apocalypse, but he's also obsessed with the Summers bloodline (pictured above, which includes Cable... And uh... Clone Cable too i think).
At the same time, he's also obsessed with genetic perfection and creating the ultimate mutant, and i think he made the clone Cable, Strife, so he could be in Deadpool 2, Wolverine 3, or X-Men 7.

If he doesnt look like a BDSM vampire with a big fuckin red jewel in his forehead and massive bondage straps as a weird shoulder pad cape combo im going to be VERY disappointed.
they definitely seem to be looking to the comics now for more accurate costumes, so it's a good possibility that we'll get this

instead of just like, some pale dude with a red diamond on his forehead wearing a business suit or god forbid fucking leather or a mech suit.
I would welcome X-Men in the MCU if done as brilliantly as Spider-man.
The FoX-Men have the X-Men's powers. But none of the books content apart from superficial crap. Done right the X-Men can and should fit beautifully.

Spiderman was shoehorned into Civil War.
Shoehorned quite well, but shoehorned in none the less.
This is the russo bros we're talking about here. If anyone can make it work, it's them.
I think that civil war actually sets a pretty good precedent for xmen to arrive.
We see public opinion of supers going bad. Insert X-men, people born super like a race, they're in a more suburban environment than untouchable government funded heroes like the avengers. It's not unlikely a person would treat mutants like shit if they already dislike the avengers, and the mutants are usually more out in the open than other supers.
The parralel of racism could still work, especially after civil war, not just because super powered people are less loved, but Spider-man being in the MCU means the press notion of "HEROES ARE A MENACE" from daily bugle will enter the fray and add fuel to tensions against people with powers.
This is the perfect time to introduce them TBH.

Jessica Jones already sets the precedent for regular ass people being retardedly stupid around superpowered individuals and treating them like shit for it, too.
If the X-Men are ever making it into MCU I just hope they recast everyone and do their own mutants. I'm not a big fan of Fox-Men universe and MCU crossing over

As much as i'd love to see both casts crossover in a Secret Wars movie, that'd be for the best, long term.
Seeing the O5 at Peters age would be great. The real O5, not that mish mash of generations First Class was forced to use because of Singer.

Also that thing about Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider maybe being in AoS.
Unless it has hints towards a Blaze and/or Ketch GR Netflix series happening with them in it I hope its not true. GR would make a great anthology series with different Riders or pulling an Ant-Man and having Blaze mentor Robbie like in his book.
Robbie doesnt have many stories outside of his 12 issue ongoing and Ghost Racers.
Also theres no way theyd be able to do justice tp Tradd Moores interpritation of the character on that budget.
The actress who plays young Storm in apocalypse was a great casting visually, she looks quite similar to Halle Berry.
Same with Cyclops.
Young Storm has an accent while her older self doesn't. Also young Jean have different eye colors than old Jean. I know these are small meaningless things but they kinda bothered me.
reboot, though. it's a lame duck excuse but it still can be applied to those little tidbits.

Accent can change with time, especially if you stay in a foreign country for a long time.
Contacts.
Here, changes explained.
Storm had bits of her accent in X-Men 1 and it was fully gone by X2.
Poetry.
