unpopular opinion: I liked the first spidey movie. I think it was a pretty decent first attempt at translating spidey into a movie. Plus, Toby McGuire, while not the best spiderman, was a really funny peter parker and nailed the 'awkward nerdy' parker well.
Unpopular?
atleast, most people I know did not like the movies. so I thought it was unpopular
How can anyone look at the fantastic performance Dafoe had as the Green Goblin, and say the movie was bad? I thought it was solid all around, and the first two Raimi films are still some of my favorite super hero movies of all time.
Name me one supervillain performance better than Willem Dafoe as green goblin Can't be done

Where the fuck is punisher tonight [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] All sites say punisher was re-announced as if it wasn't before, nothing new but a logo and some words from Jon Bernthal in person
Wow, Marvel is bringing the heat in terms of their Netflix shows. Also, that Defenders teaser was really great!
Name me one supervillain performance better than Willem Dafoe as green goblin Can't be done
vincent donofrio as wilson fisk
My hype cannot be contained :excited:
I watched the first 2 seasons of Daredevil, and wow does it leave some impressions. First season, fantastic. Second season, not so fantastic. Everything was good except the parts with Elektra, I really did not like her. I wanted more Punisher, and more Punisher + Daredevil scenes, but they focused on Elektra instead. And I felt towards the end when [sp]Daredevil began to become infatuated with Elektra, even when she conflicted with his core ideal of not killing people on multiple occasions[/sp] was a complete change in character for Daredevil, it didn't seem to be consistent with what his character was built up to be at that point. Am I wrong?
vincent donofrio as wilson fisk
Not only is it not better but Fisk isn't exactly super [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] I've been reading him lately cuz he's the spotlight on marvel unlimited and it seems the best he's got is his muscles look like morbid obesity, he even brags to spiderman about him assuming he was just flabby in his first run in with him
Name me one supervillain performance better than Willem Dafoe as green goblin Can't be done
My brother is a diehard Spidey 2 fan, always insists that Molina was better as Doc Ock. Personally I like them both, although I like Gobbo more as a character and really appreciated Dafoe's performance. Alfred Molina was pretty great as Doc Ock, but the stupid [sp]being controlled by the arm AI[/sp] ruins it for me. Gotta say though, Doc Ock's design in the second Raimi film is maybe the best adaption of a comic book character, at least for supervillains. The weedy little arms he has in the comics were no good, although I don't understand why he needed spikes inside the Raimi arms (I guess it could be the same reason that Robocop has that 'data-spike' instead of a USB stick or something). It's legit just him with the arms in a big coat. That's all you need. I don't want to get speculatively judgemental, but based upon everything in the Amazing series, I really think they would have over-designed him.
this scene tho
I don't think we'll ever see a better movie adaption of doc oc, atleast nothing that can trump rami's doc.
So Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider is all but confirmed for AoS [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] And Felipe Smith(Robbies creator) just retweeted it when someone asked him about it
Alfred Molina was pretty great as Doc Ock, but the stupid [sp]being controlled by the arm AI[/sp] ruins it for me.
That something Raimi did for all his villains except Venom, where he did the opposite, making them more sympathetic than the comic versions. Tbh i really do prefer the movie version of Norman to the comic one, where he legitimately was a decent guy and father if a bit easy to anger. It works a lot better than the comics "AND I KILLED A DOG WHEN I WAS THREE AND THEN I GAVE MY SON SOME HEROIN FOR KICKS AND THEN I STOLE A BABY AND SENT IT TO EUROPE AND THEN I GAVE DOC OCKS GIRLFRIEND AIDS!" Creating a split personality where they sometimes agree on things and the Goblin side is clearly influencing the Norman side more than the Norman side would want makes him more interesting.
I thought we all agreed that's hellfire and not ghost rider
I thought we all agreed that's hellfire and not ghost rider
Dude theres literally a muscle car on display at SDCC hidden by a tarp. Its Robbie Reyes. [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] Two hispanic brothers, one the "most dangerous person in the room" and the other in a wheelchair. Muscle car in a tarp at SDCC. Flame chain advertisements.
Unless it's just made to look like it, but I don't think Marvel is pulling a ruse.
You guys shat on Mio when he pointed out the fiery chain ad on a train [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] But damn does introducing ghost rider in aos instead of something like a Netflix series sound like a bad idea [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] And it isn't even Johnny blaze :(

Similar to the Norman Osborne in The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.

Blaze or Ketch can still get a Netflix show or movie.

Things changed and we got more rumors and hints. Theyre probably saving Danny and Johnny for Netflix since Robbie doesnt have very strong ties to them outside of a single arc [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] And hey if Robbie ends up cameoing on it I'll be happy. Also I wonder if this means AoS is going mystical now for Dr Strange and Iron Fist or they're gonna ruin Robbie and turn him into a Inhuman

I'll probably get shit for this but ive never liked the purple in the Goblins color scheme, its never worked for me. He's more purple than green sometimes, and his primary weapon of choice is orange. Purple either needs to be darkened to fuck and integrated in a different way or the suit needs to be all green, for me. [editline]22nd July 2016[/editline] Please for the love of god no Ultimate Goblin or Iron-Man-Lite Goblin though.
