Josh Trank was being a grade-a cunt without the studio being involved. He insists he had to leave Star Wars, but before it was even officially announced it leaked he was getting sacked after yet again being a total ass-hat.
He bad mouthed the comics. Bad mouthed the fans. And cast his two mates in lead roles just so he can get high with them on set. A set he rarely turned up to. Then when shit got tough he didn't the ultimate jerk move and said "yeah but the studio meddled and ruined it". There was nothing redeemable in this movie. They would have to of re-wrote and re-filmed the entire thing for it to be believable that he had a good film in there originally. Spider-Man 3 is a film destroyed by studio meddling and that's got some neat ideas in it once you take all of the Sony stuff out. Nothing in F4 is even remotely good. It's impressive for that reason actually.

Ok hold up this might be real.
Back a few weeks ago, this popped up, its an artists rendition of the Civil War spidey suit (the initial one) based on someones description of it.

Its kind of close, goggles, similar placement of reds and blacks.
Also, the pic has Iron Man flying in the back.
It might be real. The other two? Fake as fuck, but the first? I dont know.
The first one is a fan made mock up based on that description.
The second one is a spanish film.
The third is a drawing also based on the same description as the first and that fan art above this post.
Don't even entertain the idea the first one is real. They're not even in post yet. Why would they have a shot of Spidey climbing a building with the city in the background and something flying around already in the bag?
Also why would somebody leaking this take it in such a blurry quality. It's not 2002 anymore. A real leak is done in quality.
We know that costume description isn't legit anyway. It's tied to a leak about what villains and supporting characters will fit in the movie along with casting of said villains and supporting cast. The film has only JUST started being written. They only just announced the writers. The whole thing was bull so you can immediately disregard any piece of art or 'blurry leaked footage that looks like it was taken on a camera phone a decade ago' that uses that design.

fantastic four is just a property that can't be handled well on-screen. i have faith in the marvel people though, they could easily integrate them into the mcu.

Don't believe them. WB said the same thing after Green Lantern and Sony said the same thing right after ASM2. Hell, Sony was sure they were going to make a whole damn Spiderman Cinematic Universe, even after ASM2.
The point is, movie studios try to save face after such a movie bombs. But that shit will never get made.

nowdays, with the internet and word about the movie's worth spreading quickly, its no surprise "F4 is shit" became a meme and everyone is avoiding it like plague, wich in turn makes everyone expecting it to bomb and sink even futher. F4, as far as fox goes, is doomed and has absolutely no redeemeable value. wich i'm pretty sure they were aware of ages before launching it but went away with it since they had arrangements and deals to met with cinemas and other companies.
in all honestly, this was bound to happen and absolutely everyone knew this could happen, because it happens all the time when a trend its so profitable everyone wants to take a share of it.
