looks like good ol Bill Rosemann is on point trying to sort out the MUA mess
Why is James Gunn so against connecting Guardians to the other movies?
I'm kind of ok with it honestly....the MCU has much more to offer than stories set on earth. I can't wait for them to interact with the avengers though.
IMO all the characters could use a break from being totally connected. I would like more phase 1 type movies.

I think he wants to have more control over the material. The closer GOTG gets to the rest of the universe, the more he has to defer his decisions to Kevi Feige
As much as I'd like them to spend more time apart than together I am very excited to see them together in Infinity War. Even if it's the only time the Guardians and Avengers are ever together.
I can almost predict it though, Awesome Mix 3 will be a gift from Stark or one of the other Avengers. Maybe Parker will burn him a new mix as (our introduction to him, like Star Lord, has him listening to music).
If dr strange has one crossover I'll be very upset

I'd be fine with the post-credits being Scarlet Witch or someone showing up on his doorstep like "THERE'S SOME WEIRDY MYSTIC HORSESHIT, I'M BEING FOLLOWED BY A SCREAMING ONI HEAD, FUCKING FIX IT DOC."

Prepare to be disappointed because it's gonna set up a multiverse. Seeing Tobey Spidey might not even be off the table

Considering Sony seriously planned having him return for SM4 and SM vs. TASM, i wouldnt doubt it.
Just have flashes of all the marvel movies and live action tv ever released thats not MCU.

Well the original (and best) GotG never crossed over with regular Earth Marvel, apart from like, once. I think it's better that way to be honest, as much as I'm glad that it's all one universe, if they tried to crossover too much it would just feel forced.
I think the Guardians should help take down Thanos, but apart from that they've got enough cosmic stuff to deal with, and the Earth heroes have plenty Earth stuff to deal with.
I think it would be cool to see Dr. Strange go into a dimension where the Avengers lost the battle of New York. They wouldn't even need their actual cameos. Just like gravestones people put up in their honor.
Though I do think a Strange and Spider-man team up would be cool. Perhaps Mysterio is a future villain and Dr. Strange helps to fight his magic

A Spiderverse with Tobey, Andrew and Tom together would be fucking excellent though.
Include Donald Glover as Miles, Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen and a Spiderman 2099.
I hope Awesome Mix Vol. 2 has some Bowie. I know vol 1 had Moonage Daydream but it wold be nice to have something again, he have plenty of space related songs and it would be nice since he died this year
More Bowie is alays good, but I don't think it would be necessary.

A second track from Ziggy Stardust was in the script for Guardians Vol 2:
Bowie was an idol of mine, huge and omnipresent. Few artists in any field have had as an indelible impression upon me as he has. To my mind, Ziggy Stardust is perhaps the greatest rock and roll album of all time. We featured “Moonage Daydream” in Guardians, but I always thought the album’s character was felt far beyond that, in the aesthetics, in the integral and seemingly-natural linking in popular culture of ’70’s rock and space opera. I’ve been trying to work another song from Ziggy into the sequel, which would make Bowie the only artist to have a song on both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. I thought this was fair and appropriate. Although I cut the scene it was used in from the script, we have the rights. Who knows. Maybe I can figure a way out
Bowie was positive about a role he was offered in Guardians 2 (Interesting because he was famously very picky about what work he did after his heart attack):
Just a very short while ago Kevin Feige and I were talking about a cameo role in Guardians Vol. 2, and he brought up Bowie’s name. I told him nothing in the world would make me happier, but I heard from common friends he wasn’t doing well. We heard back that he was okay and it could potentially happen. Who knows what that was about? But, for whatever reason, it made my Twitter revelation more of a surprise
Bowie turned down most offered almost immediately so this is a nice thought that he was considering it.
Man, that would have been so fucking awesome. Would prolly have been a small cameo because of his health but still. I can see him being an alien singing in one of those bars on Knowhere or something
Would've been funnier to have Bowie cameo as himself in space.
No costume, no funny look and no acting. It's just David Bowie hanging in a space bar. Because why wouldn't he? He's David fucking Bowie.
just him floating round his tin can, far above the world
I woul've loved it if Bowie cameo'd as Ziggy Stardust it would feel right for a Guardians movie
I had a thought, the new Punisher series can't really use Kingpin as the main bad guy since that shit would get old really fast since he's also DD's main bad guy. I'm thinking for Season 1 they could just do Nicky Cavella and avoid Fisk altogether to avoid stepping on DD's toes.
I'm also hoping we get the Man of Stone but I highly doubt we'll see him any time soon. Who do guys think they'll use for S1?
Hearing a lot of people hoping for Jigsaw or Barracuda
I haven't seen much of DD beyond the pilot yet but I hope they manage to go all the way in terms of brutality with the Punisher show. Seeing something like the works of MAX would be brilliant and part of me hopes they'll bring Garth Ennis onboard to write an episode or two.

Without spoiling much, Daredevil has some pretty brutal moments of its own. I think the Punisher show should be in good hands.

I DEMAND BARRACUDA.

There is no way they could get away with a 100% accurate portrayal of Barracuda. I'm not even talking physically. And I'd rather have no Barracuda than a neutered Barracuda.
Micharl Clarke Duncan would've made a great Barracuda were he still alive. If they can find the right actor he could be good. I've got faith in Jigsaw turning up, though.
Uh, wasn't he already Kingpin?
I feel like they could totally do Barracuda if they went full HBO.
It all depends on how scared Marvel is of Buzzfeed-tier clickbait sites complaining about Barracuda being "offensive".
I don't think they could pull off barracuda well in movies, sadly. Just the nature of how disney wants marvel's movies to be
