I would like to see Nick Offerman as Jameson.

Then Crews would have to be Robbie.
Why not do a race swap? Have Jameson be black, like how they had Perry White played by Laurence Fishburne, and Offerman can be Robbie.

Raceswap for raceswaps sake is a shit idea and you should feel bad for suggesting it.
In this instance, though, skin color isn't essential to the character. The suggested actors also happen to be talented and would easily play the roles well enough.

it's just the way you phrased it
Yeah I did, my bad. Usually I'm against raceswapping for the sake of it as well, it's just that in this case I feel it wouldn't deter the film.
Is Jameson even gonna be in the movie?

Probably not.
Honestly Terry Crews is legitimately one of the only actors i can think of who could properly capture JJ's personality in movie form outside of JK. Its like Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin, he'd just work and he'd work really good.

I don't think there's a "case it's okay" for raceswapping when you're doing it just to do it in any scenario. I think the only reason it would be fine is if they found an actor worthy of the role and nothing further.

There are also cases where a character being a minority would make them more interesting because of the way society treats people of different races.

Couldnt you just use an existing minority character that fits that dynamic instead of changing another characters existing dynamic?
THAT IS NOT HOW PROGRESSIVE CONTINUAL EPISODIC STORYTELLING WORKS
I HAVE OVER 50 PUBLISHED COMICS YOU LITTLE SHIT
The really stupid part is there is literally an existing established and completely contextually appropriate character they have passed over on almost every instance to make a literal token character instead, with the exception of Kamala.
Not only is it deliberate, it's essentially character trademark hogging at this point, and it's not even effective, how long did the panderfest that was X-Women last, how long did the Femthor spinoffs last? Four issues? Two issues?
Somebody needs to get Len Wein and Dwayne McDuffie in a room with these individuals so some rounds of slapping can occur.
Somebody needs to get Dwayne McDuffie
:frown:
He's polarized and grumpy as hell but he knows realtalk when it comes to both demographics and telling a story that can inspire and give insight as opposed to "this theoretical existence of which I actually know nothing because of my upbringing and social context surely must be a magical and fanciful glitterdream as I portray it to be", and that's the point.
If you intend to be genuine in your portrayal, being unilaterally sympathetic and ignorant is not a fucking technique, it's a flaw.
(also he's really good at slapping people)

[sp]Dwayne died 5 years ago.[/sp]
Surely there's better roles for Terry Crews in the MCU. They'll probably get someone that's not very high brow for JJ if they can't get JK again
He's probably the best fit if doing a race swap at all though, I've heard worse suggestions. Terry Crews seems colorful enough to play a super though. I was kind of hoping he'd be Power Man but it's off the table now.
[editline]18th September 2016[/editline]
I rescind my statement I can't think of where Crews would be otherwise.
[editline]18th September 2016[/editline]
REALLY wish he was Power Man
I could kinda see terry being blade. kinda.
After some thinking he'd be a perfect fit as Goliath
The one actor I'd really like as Jameson is Tom Hanks
There are also cases where a character being a minority would make them more interesting because of the way society treats people of different races.
Would rather an actor of a minority win the role through his merit than it given to him because "we need a minority to look diverse and progressive".
[editline]18th September 2016[/editline]
The ironic part is, Marvel in the comics in the early days was extremely diverse in its writings.
All of X-Men is a testament to that.
Jameson should be played by John C. McGinley, obviously.
I also feel like Nick Offerman, Gary Oldman, maybe even Bryan Cranston would all be great.
Steve Buscemi as Jameson
