I really like Iron Man 2, even though I understand structurally and technically it's poorly made. I just like all the robot fighting and mechsuits and science violence. Meanwhile, I'm sure Iron Man 3 is probably technically a superior film, but I find it lame and largely uninteresting, not to mention a collection of missed opportunities. Why does the Iron Man armor need power when Tony's got a goddamned reactor in his chest? Why is Tony Stark Batman? Why is Pepper like the first real super heroes with powers other than "fast and strong" never mentioned again? Why is Mandarin wasted on a what they obviously thought was a clever joke? (Though Trevor himself is one of the most entertaining parts of the movie, it wasn't worth it in my opinion.) Why does Tony blow up all of his action figures (buy now!) and retire from being Iron Man for Pepper at the end then immediately become Iron Man again and build a bunch more crap for Avengers 2? Why is it Christmas time in every Shane Black movie ever? Apologies, I got a little out of hand there. Also, I may have yogurt for brains, who can tell.
Why is Tony Stark Batman?
The better question is 'why hasn't this movie been made yet'.
The better question is 'why hasn't this movie been made yet'.
Copyright laws, trademarks, that kind of stuff.

Why does Matt become Daredevil in the Netflix series? Is it just because of his Dad or is there another reason I'm not remembering?
Why does Matt become Daredevil in the Netflix series? Right right, I didn't remember that. Thanks guys!
but you missed celery man
"now antman i can get into"
there i updated it
there i updated it
Beautiful.
Every time I feel sad I just tell myself 'Paul Rudd is part of the MCU' and I smile a little. Got tickets to see Deadpool this Wednesday... I'm probably not its intended audience, as I got tired of Deadpool's shtick approximately two minutes after finding out about it. But I love TJ Miller and he's enough to at least make me give this movie a chance.
I'm hoping all of the random funny moments are just for trailers, and that we haven't seen the meat of the film yet.
I'm guessing we're going to see Ryan Reynold's ass.
You already see it in a recent clip. [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] IGN has their Deadpool review if anyone cares http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/02/06/deadpool-review-2
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/deadpool/ well shit I did not expect this to get any reviews that strong, especially from a first-time movie director
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/deadpool/ well shit I did not expect this to get any reviews that strong, especially from a first-time movie director
this is either an insanely good film, or an effective mind control experiment
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/deadpool/ well shit I did not expect this to get any reviews that strong, especially from a first-time movie director
Keep in mind that the 100% is tallied from the "Fresh" ratings and not scores. The average score listed is 8.3/10
Keep in mind that the 100% is tallied from the "Fresh" ratings and not scores. The average score listed is 8.3/10
That still is a pretty decent rating
That still is a pretty decent rating
Definitely, but its not as ridiculously high as people thought.
Keep in mind that the 100% is tallied from the "Fresh" ratings and not scores. The average score listed is 8.3/10
Well yeah I'm aware of that, but I'd still call scores around there pretty damn good as far as superhero movies go. Regardless tho my point was I expected it to flop quality-wise given what a weird comedic superhero film it is and the fact the director had no real experience, even tho the script was apparently pretty good.

Deadpool is absurdly popular for a character who's only getting his first major adaption into anything now. Mostly because of memes. [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] Quality wise, Reynolds has been trying to get this made for the past 13 years, he'd probably bust the directors balls if he wasnt doing it right.

Doesn't surprise me he'd become a producer on his next superhero film after the last ones didn't work out too well lmao But really no matter how you spin it it's still surprising to see a director that just did pretty minimalistic commercials switch to making a whacky superhero movie that apparently didn't fall flat on its face (yes I know the script was good but execution is still everything), which these early reviews seem to suggest. Curious to see what the final review score will be tho.
I really hope for Reynolds sake it doesn't fail. He seems to have invested a lot into it :(

[editline]7th February 2016[/editline] Quality wise, Reynolds has been trying to get this made for the past 13 years, he'd probably bust the directors balls if he wasnt doing it right.
Reynolds last three projects, two of them comic based have been abject failures Untested Staff Deadpool is literal memeshit, and every commercial endeavor with the character other than MUA and X2 have been abject failures, lest we forget his very own game selling a dam-busting 50,000 copies at launch This is not launching in the summer for a reason, the same reason stuff like Underworld 3 doesn't launch in the summer. It's great to see staff and character do well, but let's dial the premise and expectation back to reality. Niche character, niche concept, niche money during a niche movie season that Liam Neeson pretty much built by himself.
Reynolds has 4 comic book failures on his record at this point. Blade Trinity, X-Men Origins, Green Lantern, and RIPD.
Ouch.
