So I heard somewhere that marvel comics wrote the death of wolverine because they wanted him to seem less cool in order to spite fox and deter them from using him in their movies. Is there any merit to this rumor?
now its here
I'm just going to say this right now, Jon bernthal is the best punisher portrayal i've seen yet 10/10. [sp]the graveyard scene between him and daredevil and how he explains what happen to his family is just heartbreaking[/sp]
Chipping in on the JJ talk. I recently finished the series, watched it with my brother. It took a long time to get through, like weeks of "Wanna watch it tonight?". The show wasn't bad by any means, while I was watching it I enjoyed it. But certain elements of it were boring while others felt a bit nonsensical. I liked that [sp]Kilgrave felt he was in love with Jessica, and he bought her childhood home because he thought she'd like it.[/sp] That was a bit twisted but not edgy for edgy's sake, which other bits were. [sp]We have to cut up dads body! Stab yourself for every year you abandoned me! One thousand cuts![/sp] I quite liked Simpson as a character, a good reinvention and played very well. Everyone delivered really good performances, it just felt like the script forced some unnecessary ham into certain scenes.
Also, the last episode featuring a tour de force of "ur a hero jess, believe in the me that believes in u". Eurgh.
The [sp]one shot hallway and stairs[/sp] fight scene in Daredevil S2 Ep3 looks like it has weird little cuts to make it seem like it was filmed in [sp]one shot.[/sp]
It probably cuts when somebody goes past the camera and covers it like Kingsman, [sp] hallway fight 2.0 was still cool as hell though, worth the wait[/sp]
Man the first few eps feels like an entire season
So much good content holy shit
Looks like I'll have to avoid this thread for a while, I can't really watch the season until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.
I can't watch it for another week :saddowns:
First episode starts off the season pretty nice, I'd say.
He's also General Wade Eiling in The Flash
I thought his voice sounded familiar.
Watched the first 4 episodes of DD S2. Shit is good.
STOP WATCHING THE NEW SEASON BEFORE ME!!!
Damn.
[sp]Punisher is fucking scary[/sp]
Finally
Daredevil S2EP3 [sp]the long ass fight scene was pretty damn good[/sp]
I havent gotten around to watching it yet, thats for later tonight, but somethings irking me.
Punishers skull insignia.
Ignoring that half of it isnt filled in, its confusing me.
Because its clearly a messier version of the Thomas Jane one, despite there being a plethora of different skull designs from the comics to choose from.

Not that thats bad, its one of my favorites, but it seems odd.
Jesus Christ this Punisher has to be one of my favorites.
jesus, that reaction to the crime scene from the older cop in s2e1 of daredevil
[sp]its gonna take weeks to process this shit and where's this asshole's hand?"[/sp]
okay wow the Ep3[sp]graveyard scene and overall dynamic between the two is fucking incredible[/sp]

yeah, I noticed it wasn't one cut, but it looked really close to being one just like in Kingsman, I loved it
[s2e1]
love the look of the scene with the [sp]irish[/sp] (ok probably not even a spoiler). it all looks so dirty, which is always refreshing given the usual TV show cleanliness even in the dingiest of places
[sp]Graveyard scene almost made me cry.[/sp] Loved the Punisher, he was just as scary and intimidating as he should be.
You need to spoiler way more of that.
I only finished Episode One so far but the Punisher reveal was awesome. Bernthal sold me already
Finished Ep6 and so far it's been great, can't wait to see how Punisher [sp] will shift his focus back to murdering people and how exactly is he gonna run with DD/Elektra[/sp]
episode 3 is glorious. didn't top the [sp]oldboy fight from s1 but i like that they tried doing their own thing[/sp]

jon bernthal is a great addition to the MCU, he has this real grounded quality to him, makes the show more down to earth
Thought the season was good, however the last few episodes were disappointing.
Oh my god.
Episode 4.
[sp]Thats the proto-Battle Van.[/sp]
I like how Melvin's workshop [sp]straight up has Stiltmans gear out in the open now and Melvin wears his Gladiator suit under his regular clothing. Also is it just me or did they really downplay his mental deficiencies. In season 1 he was a stammering simpleton and in season 2 he's pretty much a regular ass dude[/sp]
Jon Bernthal is an amazing Punisher, He needs his own spin off show.

[sp]I was right, it is the Battle Van, and just like the comics are wont to do, it gets blown the fuck up.[/sp]
