eugh no fantastic four 2 was even shittier
[sp]generic evil military man decides, for no reason, to let doom, the guy who's guilty of murder and wanted to take over the world only a few years earlier, in on the project to capture some being with never-before-seen levels of power AND gives him access to the facility where they're keeping that being's power source[/sp]
A+ writing

[sp]the last two FF films are a slight guilty pleasure of mine. don't get me wrong, they are absolutely awful films, but they captured the visuals really well imo apart from galactus, and i'm annoyed that we didn't get a third film to bring back doom and possibly some other big villain. i was also completely fine with the casting and loved that they made sue storm a complete joke because it was jessica alba and not an actress that could be taken seriously. and the thing was a costume, not a cgi gimmick. serious props there.[/sp]
Thing and Human Torch were goddamn perfect in those movies. Silver Surfer was super rad too.
So does the fact that Fant4stic is terrible really mean that the rights are going to return to Marvel? I thought Sony only opted to share Spider-Man with Marvel for several reasons, not just because TASM2 was poorly received. I just don't want us to get ahead of ourselves.

It doesn't mean anything. Sony could have perfectly held a firm hand on Spiderman and never let go.

The only way rights to F4 can return to Marvel now is for them to be bought back. Fox just has to release something resembling a F4 movie in less than exactly 7 years from now to keep it that way.
I was really, really hoping that Fantastic 4 would suck. It may be petty, but I don't care. It looked so bad in the commercials and to see it live up to that level of suck, it's just beautiful. Just beautiful. The only thing that could ruin my fun is if it does well at the Box Office.
EDIT: And of course, I think we're all hoping it does so shitty, Fox might consider doing something similiar with Spider-Man. Just get it back into Marvel's capable hands.

TASM2's poor reception (and the success of every other superhero movie that year, including big hero 6, surpassing it) definitely had something to do with it. don't you remember how they had like 6 movies planned for the TASM universe (two of those announced before the first one was out)? how they were talking about spider-man being more important than all the other marvel universe characters?
I don't really get it, this is prime time to put some effort in and make some serious money off a good superhero movie but they keep dropping the ball so hard. What is the point in making shit films to retain the rights if they don't use them during what will probably be known as the golden age of superhero cinema?

It's part of the giant dickwaving contest between Marvel and Fox. Just look at X-Men merch. [sp]You can't because there is barely any[/sp]

Thing and and Mr. Fantastic were good. Human Torch was annoying.

Exactly, Evans was perfect for the role.

It actually looks really good, in my opinion.

I could actually trick my friends into seeing this new Fantastic Four movie as an act of revenge for making me see Thor 2: The Dark World
well now we know josh stank, but does josh tank?

I know that Thor 2 wasn't the best movie ever, but that's just cruel.

They shall suffer as I did, interests included
Aaand it's at 13%. How low can it go?

Hmm it might be fun to see if it'll beat the early 2000's pre-mcu comic book movies. With lovely gems such as Daredevil and Ghostrider (oh god I wanted Ghostrider to be good so badly ;_;). Currently the champion of the ring is Catwoman with an astounding score of RT score of 9%
Will the reigning champ keep her belt for the 11th year in a row? Or will these Fantastic newcomers finally dethrone the queen? Find out this Friday at a local cinema near you.
Btw I'm kidding about that last part, I don't wanna give the clowns that made this movie any money.
Good news for you. In 27 hours, I'll be stepping into the theater. I'm gonna try something new and bring in my microphone to record my thoughts so you guys will get my full reactions across the movie's 99 minutes.
I'll make sure to edit it a bit so you don't get all the movie audio and I accidentally commit piracy.

Do it quietly at least, there might be a few people in there that want to attempt to enjoy it.

I chose a 2PM showing at a Thursday, and the ticket guy said those showings are always empty since reviews here come out Friday. But if there's more than a few scattered people there, I won't do it.
I've also resigned myself to going to see this as part of a bet I lost. I'll be going on a Monday when the tickets are the cheapest.
Oh my, Doom what have they done to you.

Isn't this straight up from Akira?
it absolutely is, and this isn't surprising in the least bit since trank said akira was a huge influence on him when he made chronicle.
also, i said to my co-workers the other day that i bet hitman will be a better movie than this, and it won't even be a hitman movie at all.
I know that Thor 2 wasn't the best movie ever, but that's just cruel.
I thought it was all right. The problem with Thor movies is that it expends too much time on Earth.
I just don't see how Josh goes from making Chronicle to this movie. I really hope a lot of choices were from people paying to make the movie.
Went up to 20% and then to 17%. As more reviews come out this is gonna get worse and worse.
