Damn, you're right. Shit, I think I must be the asshole fan that cannot be pleased.
I will never try being funny ever again. :(

Also Jim Hill already said no, and the guy's always on point. (starts at around 12:50- basically, once the Guardians of the Galaxy team up with the Avengers in any movie, they become part of the Universal deal, which basically means Disney has 2-3 year window where GOTG characters can appear on an Orlando theme park without violating the clause, but you should listen, it's a pretty good talk)
Crossing over in the MCU isn't the same as joining the Avengers. They have teamed up countless times in the comics, yet haven't joined them.
Also, WDWNT is claiming it is a done deal atleast on the West Coast now according to a different source:
MARVEL Studios would encompass the last true expansion pad for the park, situated between Hollywood Land and A Bug’s Land. The area would be a natural extension of Hollywood Land, being a “working movie studio”. On the lot, guests could find a series on indoor and outdoor meet and greet experiences, as well as plenty of shopping and dining. One completely new attraction would greet guests according to current rumblings: a launch coaster featuring Captain America, showcasing elaborate show scenes between coaster ride portions. The other attraction would be near one of the two entrances to the new land: a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed overlay of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
As for the bar, I have a feeling it is going to be a temporary fixture within ToT, possibly with no construction and a bar counter on wheels, or a temporary conversation for the summer crowds like what they are doing for the Writer's Stop.

For the Universal deal, it's the same thing. It's not 'joining' the Avengers that's the key part, it's that the moment Disney puts these two characters in the same 'family' (which is to say, the moment they start marketing them together), Universal has theme park rights to them. It's basically the same wording for 'the moment these characters start appearing together', which is why Universal has the theme park rights to a character like Silk even though she was created less than two years ago- because she's part of the Spider-Man extended family, even though Spider-Man appeared twice in her comic.
Let me put it like this: suppose there's two companies, and one has the right for Spider-Man and his extended cast, whilst the other has the rights for Iron Man and his extended cast. If Mary Jane were to ever join Iron Man's cast, even if temporarily for a crossover, that second company now can claim to have the rights for it. Do they have the rights? Does the law account for crossover stories? That doesn't matter; what matters is that in these multi million dollar contracts, any company will use any chance they have to take a bunch of money from one another. And the wording will be over analysed and over interpreted: is Mary Jane an Iron Man supporting character right now? Then she's with the second company.
TL;DR: the only way this is happening in Florida is if Universal momentarily freezes in time and takes their finger off the 'BRING UP THE MASTER CONTRACT' button.
(we should have a Disney Parks thread)
Honestly I like that Universal has the rights, the rides at Universal have always been much more enjoyable in my opinion. The Spider-Man ride at Universal is a lot of fun.

The thing is, The Guardians have already met countless times with the Avengers within the comics, even before the limited time meet and greet within Hollywood Studios. By your logic, The Starlord and Gamora meet and greet would have been in violation of the contract. I do admit The contract can be confusing. I thought for the longest time that Disney couldn't sell Marvel merchandise in the Disney Parks because of it, yet they are currently doing it.
Honestly, we will find out if it is happening soon anyway, since the rumor claims ToT will close in October for the change over.

I think a general theme park thread should exist as well.
If only Garry's World was still a thing.

Fuck yes it is. Sucks they got rid of the back to the future ride though.

Yes, that's confusing me as well. However, apparently the thing that's happening here is that this specific version of the Guardians- that is, the one we see in the movies, which is not the same as the comics despite them being similar characters- haven't met the Avengers yet. I mean, that is the loophole I would use if this was a lawyer.
Disney can sell Marvel merchandise... if they don't use the name Marvel or The Avengers anywhere, methinks.
Also, yes, let's create this thread?

Are they using it in title? Cause that's where I think the master contract comes in.
Hey that's cool they're still using Christine Everhart.
She's been part of the MCU since basically the start with Iron Man.

Technically not 'The Avengers'!

Interesting. I wonder why?
Wonder if maybe there is negotiations for a Fox deal?
Also wonder if AoS will get more inhumans to use if that's the case.
It's held back to an indefinite time, but not outright cancelled. Probably held back to Phase 4, I'd reckon.
Interesting. I wonder why?
Because they can pump out more Spider-Man films now they have the deal with him, I reckon.
Inhumans are all over AoS so there's no reason to lament a cancellation of it if it comes to that.

Did you guys know that the Inhumans were originally, and primarily are for the most part, supporting characters for the Fantastic Four?
I just thought that was an interesting fact.
I just wanna see Vin Diesel yell at people with a tuning fork on his head.
they could just turn inhumans into another spinoff show
Finally finished s2 daredevil
Disney can suck my ass if there's no punisher show or movie by 3 years from now

It seemed like the show slowed down to a crawl whenever Elektra was involved but picked up hardcore in every punisher scene

Inhumans isn't cancelled at this point - they just pushed it back to an indefinite point.
