Oh dog the new year resolution people have struck my gym. Dumbbells and weight plates everywhere on the floor and lots of people walking in circles looking confused. Thank god I'm not training there for an awhile.
And awwjeah the gym owner is nice and he lets me freeze my gym card until my military service is over. Going to military police company btw.

I just got a pair of olympic weightlifting shoes, haven't actually used them yet but there very nice.

Now, these are very useful for squats, cleans and jerks snatches ect but honestly if you aren't doing these lifts then there pretty useless imo.
I would go with just any flat sole shoe, IE converse or something if not doing the olympic lifts.
They also cost 150 bucks w/shipping and these are considered the "low end" of high quality oly shoes. The nike romaleos and adidas adipower cost about 200+, without shipping.
Day 1
Back/Bicep/Shoulders
Day 2
Chest/Tricep/Forearm
Day 3
Abs/Legs
Is that a good split? I'm a bit concerned about hitting the back and shoulder in the same day but figured I'd ask here.
You could add in more legs days. I'm assuming you deadlift on day 3?.
You would be suprised by how much your legs can adapt to squats in strength and hypertrophy.
Honestly if your just starting thats a decent split, but if you've lifted for more than 6 month than I would find/make a program that has you benching or some type of chest compound workout 2x a week and squatting 3-4x a week. Thats just my 3.5 cents doe.

Day 3 would be doing stuff like Deadlifts, Squats, lunges and the likes, yes.
I've been lifting for over a year now, that's usually the split I do but I do it twice a week so this only leaves me with 1 day of rest is this too much? I always assumed it wasn't since the actual muscle groups are getting a couple of days rest.
Basically Day 4 is resting and day 5-6-7 is just a repeat of day 1-2-3.
you should try doing squats and DLs on separate days
b4 i would do them both on the same day and my prog stalled like a mfker
then i split them and did them a few days apart and i experienced godmode prog
and ya i drool over dem romaleos 2 imma prob buy those, price aint really an issue cuz i want a real qual shoe mayn

I wouldn't say it's too much per say, maybe on a few lifts. I would deadlift every other cycle though and I would watch your bench/and or just db bench to save your rotator cuffs. Honestly just get to learn your body and know whats good to go and what isn't.

What kind of split should I be looking at here then? I've been lifting for over a year but I don't have access to a gym because I live in the middle of absolute buttfuck nowhere and the closest and only gym is female only.
All I've got at home is a rack for doing pull-ups/dips/abs/push ups, a bench and dumb bells, I have no barbells unfortunately so I'm limited to stuff like dumbbell press for my chest and push ups and dumbbell deadlifts/squats and stuff like that.
