man i get huge issues with strains and shit when i do a lot of workouts. Especially with back, I can't do a lot of exercises with my lats because another part of my body gets tired (mostly forearms) before my lats do. Barbell rows are the best that I can do but one time I was doing them I pulled something in my freakin' head .. Got a massive headache and the back of my neck was killing me, and it just got worse when i tried any other workout. Going to try working with much lower weights and working on my wide grip pullups. Seated dumbbell shrugs for my traps, hopefully that won't cut the blood flow off to my brain. Eating bananas before a workout for the potassium, as someone once suggested me to do, helped me with strains. My body is fucked man, I got little over a month on my gym subscription left, I'm really motivated but if this keeps going on I'm going to wait until I'm a bit older and try again.
How old are you?
Can't believe you thought I was serious o.o
Hard to catch cynicism unless it's really darn obvious on the internet. This doesn't sound like something that will naturally pass, so, let's try figure this out; I understand it's the strains and blood flow during shrugs that pose as the most problematic issue?
but one time I was doing them I pulled something in my freakin' head ..
Having literally the exact same problem when I try to squat, but for some reason it started the very first time right at the end of a set of heavy weighted dips. No idea what's causing it.
I've gotten a massive headache from all sorts of exercises. One time, I was just doing a curl and I got a massive headache. I worked through it and completed the session. Next day, same thing on a different exercise. So, I decided to take a week off, and if it was still there I'd go to a doctor. It was gone, and haven't had it since. I think it's an exertion headache or something.
i can only think of something along the lines of a ketogenic or some glycogen depletion diet and dehydration. best bet in this case is still go to the doc asap. ran like a billion centimeters and now my legs are all wiggly and wobbly

I'm gonna take baby steps with my weightlifting to avoid all this straining stuff, and get proper form down. gotta love cortisol hives thats wat causes marks on ur face n neck on really heavy squats/deads. I got em again doing 475x2.
Getting mad stroke-tier headaches from just exerting myself lifting. Still pushed through my entire workout today despite that, though. Going to see a doctor tomorrow morning.
Lets say I wake up at 7 am and don't eat until 4 pm and still reach all my macros. Anything wrong with this? This is the most optimal schedule for myself to eat.
no [editline]24th February 2012[/editline] youre just doing a really simple version of an intermittent fast
Getting mad stroke-tier headaches from just exerting myself lifting. Still pushed through my entire workout today despite that, though. It shows dedication though, to keep lifting through a headache like that. When I got it the first time I was hysterical from the pain and was going through a laughing fit.
SL 5x5 not even once
How do you even get a neck like that
His neck... dear god. He looks like a fuckin Diglett.
Benched 74kg last night (3x5) Now I just need to get my bench to 80 and lose a couple of kg so I can bench 1x body weight.
My friend asked to make him a routine. Basically he used to be like 135 kgs, then he made a rush diet and lost every pound of muscle he had. He wen't trough a surgery 5 months ago where they removed a few kilos of flappy skin. He's now around 80 kilos and 180-185 cm and the skinniest fat i've ever seen. I tried to teach him some squats, deads and other basic stuff but he's really fucking stiff. He can't do even body weight squats under parallel with a good form. It's also pretty hard to try to make him deadlift without a cat-back because cat-back is his regular standing posture. My other friend did him a routine at first but it was kinda shitty. Weird split workout with super sets and all kind of fancy things, no deadlift nor a single ab workout but lots and lots of arms. So he (the skinnyfat) asked me to make him a new routine. The bad thing is that he only has three days available for workout (he's in the military atm, I have no clue why they took him in): Monday, tuesday and thursday. So SS it is still? I have lots of work to do with this technique... He also has the shittiest muscle coordination I've ever seen...
