What's the point of that bar? It looks so unnecessary and too much work to even load and unload.
Also managed to increase my bench to 5 reps of 75 kg even though I was up till 5 am playing age of empires and only managed a few hours sleep. I don't understand my body. I'm so glad my chest is getting stronger though, feels awesome.
This isn't really a weightlifting or bodybuilding question PER SE, however, it is still sort of relevant
the question being whether taking a weight gaining supplement would be a good idea for me. the reason i'm considering it is because i'm 18 years old, 5'10, but only 130 lbs and i look like a holocaust victim sometimes; you can see my ribs if i inhale and i am very thin. i would be looking to put on 10 - 15 or so lbs in either fat, muscle or a combination of both, by taking a weight gain supplement and also working out at the same time (as i already do anyway, its just that i cant really build muscle with a metabolism so high if i cant even put on fat)
is this a good idea or is this one of those things i think is a good idea but its actually a really really bad one
serious mass by optimum nutrition is a supplement that has over 1,200 calories per two spoonfuls which can be mixed in milk like any bodybuilding / protein supplement, and i feel like a glass or two per day would give me a big boost in gaining weight. what do you guys think?
don't waste your money on that shit
you might feel like you eat a lot but chances are you probably don't. seen this happen way too many times
just eat more

I also have an extremely fast metabolism and found it hard to put on weight. I use to weigh 65 kg at my current height. I've put on 20 kg since then just by eating a lot. All you have to do is keep eating even if you're full. Or just eat more frequently.

2 cups of milk
scoop of peanut butter
cup of oats or 3 serves of nesquik/milo some chocolate powder shit
congrats you have a weight gain shake and I've just saved you a fair bit of money

i really do eat a lot though, my friends comment on it all the time and i've measured my daily calorie intake per day to be 2500-3000 and i still do not gain any weight and maintain a steady, very skinny figure.
also,
I honestly don't care much about spending money, and I'm doubting that some milk, peanut butter, and nesquik has 1,200 calories in two spoonfuls.
[editline]18th January 2013[/editline]
in spite of your attempts to popularize it as the most amazing shake ever, that is.
[editline]18th January 2013[/editline]
or you could rate me dumb and i suppose that would get your point across.
Can I join your club. I'm an olympic lifter.
lol sure, we need more ppl
Unless you are going to tell me your work at a construction site for 8 hours a day pulling in and out beams made of pure steel, those calorie demands are just inaccurate.
give us an average day of eating.

What the Mute said, either you're just making numbers up on the spot or you didn't calculate properly or you're not eating as much as you think you are and your friends are equally skinny and think you're eating alot.
I still don't know my exact caloric maintenance but I've literally been steady at 196.2 lbs the entire week weighting myself naked in the morning before eating anything on only about 2300-2400 calories a day and I'm 6' and 20 years old dude working out 6 times a week so if you can't gain weight on 2500-3000 calories, it's much more than just a fast metabolism.
It's Seith ;)
Stopped counting the calories, fuck this shit too time consuming. I just eat less and make sure I get a decent amount of proteins, carbs and fats down my throat in the food I eat.
at your bf just cut carbs and when you get to 15% start doing refeeds
at your bf just cut carbs and when you get to 15% start doing refeeds
Will do, I've got a decent grasp on lifting and shit since I've been doing that for a little less than 2 years but outside of the basic of nutritions like calories and macronutrients, I'm really new to nutrition.
watch matt ogus' videos, it will at least sum the practical part of nutrition.
FUCK YEAH.
weightlifting in physical education in school today, set a new personal record- 90 kg 1 rm benchpress, feels so damn good
managed to clean and jerk 77.5kg's today. feelin' fiiine!
Chest is sore as fuck, today is chest day, let's do it, I want something to fondle in the close future.

I've literally measured this before by taking the number of calories of each food I eat and adding them together. There's not really any way to miscalculate.
Who knows, maybe I have a medical problem. My entire family is this way too. We eat like average people and we are all incredibly thin.
[editline]18th January 2013[/editline]

Oh shit nigga, that treadmill is kickass, will help me heaps in shedding off that last layer of fat keeping me from being sexy and defined.
I'm dropping my work out to 3 times a week instead of 6 because this week has been killing me.
So I guess I'll use a day or two for cardio, should I go balls out anaerobic or just medium intensity?
I'd set that bitch to max and sprint like a mother fucker for like 20 - 30 sec intervals
