I've literally measured this before by taking the number of calories of each food I eat and adding them together. There's not really any way to miscalculate.
Who knows, maybe I have a medical problem. My entire family is this way too. We eat like average people and we are all incredibly thin.

also most of my friends weigh 150-175
Highly unlikely. Highly. The problem lays within your answer; "by taking the number of calories of each food" .... if I eat 3000calories entirely from protein, i would still lose fat ....
measure the macro nutrients aka overall carbs, protein and fats.
So you're telling me you can't calculate the number of calories in a food by looking at the nutrition information and reading where it says "calories per serving" and multiplying it by the number of servings you've had? Because if that's true nutrition information is highly misleading.
What? Let me say this again; calories are irrelevant and unpractical in terms of losing body fat. Why? because it depends where the majority of your calories come from. As I've said, 3000 calories from protein (although unrealistic) you would still have a hard time gaining anything.
So, in order to help you, try giving us, me, an average day of macro nutrients for you. How much protein? How much fat? How much carbs?
while calories might not be a 100% correct way of looking at it, simply going by calories in < calories out is going to work for most people.
true and if that's what he's looking for (not sparing his muscle mass, or disregarding his health) then sure it also is practical.

What the hell then, that's exactly what I've been doing and that's what The Mute keeps saying is incorrect or misleading? I don't think it is. I consume, on average, about 2500 to 3000 calories per day. The exercise that I do is that I am on the school track and swim teams. During swimming season I swim a few miles during a 3 hour practice, and now that swimming season is over and track has begun, I run a few miles during a 2.5 hour practice. I have no idea how many calories either of those things burn.

I don't know if you're purposely being ignorant or you're just a fucking retard
What exactly do you think those weight gainer supplements are?
It's fucking food. It's literally whey protein with a fuckload of cheap carbs/sugars put in and usually some fats.
i'm just gonna go ahead and buy the supplement, i'll get back to you guys in a month or two when i've used it
If you're going to buy any sort of supplements I would just stick with finding protein powder on sale, and buying a fuckton of chicken, rice, veggies, ect, you don't need supplements to gain weight, enjoy shitting your money away, literally.
