baby i don't need both legs to get it on ;)
holy shit its 2013? what the fuck.
I'm completley sober and honestly did not know this. What am I doing with my life....
Hey bois, I'm 5'7, 155 lbs, bf% is 20%, I exercise doing pushups, dumbells, squats, dips, crunches, planks. What would my daily cal intake for a steady 2lbs a week loss?
[QUOTE=Sleepy Head;39310974]it's not bad but it's bad enough for me to be a lil concerned but ya imma give it a few days rest thx brahs[/QUOTE]
it's the hamstring. Start doing stretches on a regular basis. True fitness lifestyle splits this way, no bullshit, I am going to debunk your entire understanding... here it goes:
50% training, 45% stretching, 5% nutrition.

it's trial and error. too many factors to just pull out a number.

Thinking of changing my 3 day split to a 5 day split to avoid overtraining but I have this really fucking stupid mental block.
Is working a muscle group once a week good? I have this stupid mental block where it's like I have to train every muscle groups twice a week to get any sort of progress for some shit reason even though that's probably not necessary.
Halp me clear my mental block.
Arnold trained everything twice a week.
But that was fucking Arnold.
I'd suggest a 4 day split, it allows you to split up your muscle groups further and spend more time making it feel like you are working them. Also try and increase weight every workout or just get on a strength programme (5reps per set). The exertion of that will kill your muscles.
/srs ruski post
Yeah, as mentionned, that was fucking Arnie.
Was thinking about a 5 day split with the split being as follow:
Chest
Back
Legs(abs)
Shoulders
Arms(forearms)
Rest
Rest

you mental block simply put is a lack of paitence. progression slows down as you gain more experience and you need to realize this. by realizing this you will soon find out that you don't need to obssesively blame yourself for not training a body part twice a week.
personally, i like the 531 template aka 4 times a week especially after going at 3 times a week religiously, advocating the importance of rest to myself and others. the body can take a lot of shit given proper nutrition sleep and routine. the real key here, even if you don't use the 531 template is to control progress; meaning weight doesn't just go up randomly, it goes up in forms of waves. intesfication phases. deload phases.
also, you can train 2 times a week and it's even recommend when u want to bring up a lagging body part. i do it, it's all about priorities, as you can't optimally train everything twice a week ... and beyond that, you shouldn't. you will gass out in 2 weeks unless training is your only chore....
im quite tired right now, so to sum, trial and error. control the progress and that's the key to good programming and your mental block
oh you guys are vaginas i squat to a max 4x a week same with cleans snatches ect and work out everything heavy as shit 2 to 3 times a week
I just hit a new deadlift PR. Lifted 300 and locked it out. I feel fucking amazing! :)
pretty off topic, but one of my friends is trying to get me to partner up with some vitamin company to distribute their products or w/e to make money "on my own effort" but I've always been pretty skeptical with these sort of things
what do you guys think?
company is vemma btw

I did, most reviews and comments were by people who work for them and were just coaxing people to go to their own page to get referrals.

it's a freelancing thing? website looks good...
I'm trying to set up a new regimen for boxing and martial arts. Before I was doing an aesthetic-based regimen. How does this split look?
Monday: Bench press 5x3, Bent over row 5x3, Weighted pull-up 8x3, Shrugs 3x4, squats 5x3 (deadlift 5x3 every other week)
Tuesday: rest
Wednesday: Olympic lifts, plyometrics
Thursday: rest
Friday: 2 mile jog
Saturday: High intensity cardio, heavy bag practice, technique
Sunday: Rest
completely scattered. you won't be able to become proficient at anything when you want to do anything.
i would use a 531 template for example (yes i like it, sue me) and along those lines add some oly lifts to improve your explosiveness along with the regular, at least a few times a week sessions where you dedicate your time onto focusing on your boxing, martial arts....
I'm limited on this subject, you better google around..

A good form and weight transfer will usually blow out of the water any pure power that could come from your muscles so a single day of training techniques and practicing on the heavy bag seems really low, I do it nearly everyday. Also during your jogs, try to have 3 minutes sprints to simulate going at full gear for a full round (3 minutes per rounds in the pro ring), which will also be an indicative of how long you'll last in a boxing match or a boxing round. My current regimen for boxing is something like that, (Had to change it a bit from my old 3 day split, was lifting weights 6 times a week but I found I didn't have enough time to recover and I didn't want to overwork.)
Monday:Skip rope warm up (Very good way to warm up ontop of improving your rhythm, something very important in boxing and martial arts in general) Chest workouts, heavy bag practice, 30 minutes of cardio with 3 minutes sprints to simulate rounds.
Tuesday: Same as above, replace Chest with Back.
Wednesday: Same as above, replace Back with Legs/Abs.
Thursday: Same as above, replace Legs with Shoulders.
Friday: Same as above, replace Shoulders with Arms.
Weekend is either resting or light cardio/shadow boxing if I absolutely feel the need to move.
Sparring is whenever the fuck I can, (I very barely get to spar because the shithole place I live in is empty and the only boxing club closed so when I can get a spar, I take it even if I'm resting or at peak exhaustion or my muscles are aching.).
How the fuck did I manage to lose 6 pounds in a week?
[editline]24th January 2013[/editline]
More like 4 days actually

If you just started, that's water weight loss, quick fat loss will usually occur in the first few weeks of working out because you're getting rid of all this excess liquid shit you had in your anus of a body.

Thats what I thought. I lost 35, platoued at 160 for about a month, and now I'm starting again, so over the course of the next 2-3 months I'm hoping to lose about 30-35lbs again.

Well I really would like to include olympic lifts just so I can improve my functional as well as my structural strength. I think I might just roll cardio, plyo, and olympic lifts into one day and base the rest of the week on what you have.

That was just my split, feel 100% free to change it around to your liking, I don't do oly lifting because I don't have the equipment for and don't have a gym in a 30 miles radius around me so I do what I can with my pull ups/dips/push up racks, my treadmill, my speed&heavy bag, my skipping rope and my dumb bells.
[editline]25th January 2013[/editline]
Oh also, installed a motherfuckin' 100 inch projector in my garage so now I can watch HD porn on the big screen while doing my cardio on my treadmill.
