Weightlifting/Bodybuilding Thread V.4 - I wanna look like that guy from Fight Club

Huh? When I critiqued that guy's routine, I noted that one of the flaws was no legs. So I totally agree with you there.
Best time to drink whey protein? Before or after workout? Both?
I've always done it post-workout out of preference, drinking shakes before I work out makes my stomach upset. I don't think it makes too much of a difference.
do SS for 5 months and then re-evaluate what your goals are. I did and moved onto a split. its all about building a foundation first.
edit
i left the page open and the question was already answered.

That's what i've been doing so far. I've just had 2 big burgers (the real shit) about 15 mins ago, heading to the gym in about another 15 mins then I'll have the drink afterwards. Should be more than enough protein there.
people in mixed sports ( strength + endurance, like rock climbing or football or something)may need to modify it somewhat unless youre in some kind of endurance sport with no strength aspects then you prob wont have a routine anywhere close to ss pp
but can you just keep doing ss pp for years without adding anything?
a small meal of like 30g pro and 30 carbs seems to be great post workout for recovery
but can you just keep doing ss pp for years without adding anything?
if you keep making solid gains i dont see why not. but most people start to need a different routine anywhere from 6 months to a bit over a year. something like madcow 5x5 is similar to ss pp and should help you fix any stalls
not making a lot of gains, but that's due to horrible diet and lack of motivation
aughhfuck after some research (intense google searching) i believe my right pec looks quite inferior due to genetics
Something to do with your pecs not being symmetrically attached to your sternum very well, happens to a decent amount of people. Does anyone know if I don't workout for a long time and lose my gains, this will be less noticable? I don't remember noticing this when i was scrawny
i probably should have specified I'm not a beginner
Ate some Ostrich patties today. Very very lean meat right dere.
i probably should have specified I'm not a beginner
and what makes you believe that
think hes been doing academic football etc. for quite a long time now and that would imply lots of weight training in the past since its practically part of the curriculum for them
4th rest day. Feels batman. I guess I'm gonna cut so that I don't fully waste the time. I can do some light cardio without headache, but should I be fully resting?
I've always had a "do what you can" attitude about injuries and all that jazz. Maybe it's just broscience, but I think anything you can do without aggravating your problem is good for you.
sounds like broscience

try active recovery if you want ( much lower intensity )
psst
Im a retard bitch and i deserve 2 b punished
sounds like broscience
Probably is. I've never had to deal with excertional headaches before, so they're probably a whole different creature.

When I dealt with them, light exercises set them off. So, for me it was a week break from all exercise. It seems like he said he can do some cardio, so he could probably just do that so he doesn't feel lazy

Of course it feels batman.
THIS IS BAT COUNTRY.
and what makes you believe that
i've been lifting since 7th grade and i'm a junior in highschool
edit:
also i've been a trisport athlete since 7th grade
what are your lifts like , what prior routines did you have, what is your goal and general diet
Urgh, it feels like every time i join a gym every few weeks i get a cold. Could it be because i'm going from a hot temp inside working out, to outdoors where it's freezing without a coat? Or because people are getting their germs all over the equipment?

Probably the second possibility. I remember reading that the temperature thing getting you sick was a myth. The only reason people are sick more often in winter is that people are indoors around each other more. That and dry air allows viruses to spread easier. But, the cold isn't the actual cause of the sickness.
If that's the case I'll probably but some hand sanitizer and try not to touch my face so much.

i'm not a beginner, but i'm kind of an intermediate
i generally split lower body/upper body
here's a typical split for me i guess
lower body:
squat 3x5
rdl 3x8
deads 3x8
hang clean 3x6 (i know this is kind of an upperbody lift too but meh, same with hang snatch)
hang snatch 3x6
calf shit 3xwhatever
upper body:
bench 3x6
shoulder press 3x8
curls for the girls 3x8
tricep extensions 3x8
shrugs 3x10
lat pulldowns 3x10
probably terrible, but oh well, i usually split up the upper body shit tho into different days
http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm would be good for you or you can add me on steam and we can work together to make a custom routine for your sports
