So the olympics are coming up fairly soon. What do you guys think about olympic weightlifting? I find it wierd that powerlifting isn't in the olympics tbh, the moves they do in the olypics are bizarre.

Doing breathing squats, 20 reps - at about 7 reps, severe pain in the back of my head, where my skull sits on my neck. Seriously, this shit hurts so much I have to rack the bar and do the remaining reps in 2 sets or sth. And it won't go away once I stop squatting. It will continue to hurt for days. 5 or more. FUCKING SHIT FUCK OFF Any advice from you? Come on, please..

Virtually every olympic sport is a display of skill, not raw power. Plenty of guys are stronger than Usain Bolt, yet his mastery of running form allows him to be a god-tier sprinter. Even things like the shotput and javelin are dominated by technique. With olympic lifts, no matter how strong you are, if you don't have good technique then you will never be a champion. Sure, being insanely strong is part of it, but technique is really the driving factor. Look at that Dimas video I posted. He's strong as all fucking hell, sure, but his technique is absolutely flawless. It's because of his technique that he's able to levitate a shitload of weight up to his chest with seemingly no effort (1:17 in the video, he's a freak). Powerlifting is more about who can pick the heaviest things up and put them back down, which is great. But it doesn't really fit in with the olympic games.

Certain guys are going to do far better in oly lifting than others because they have more ideal structures that lend to certain lifts. Short levers etc, low centers of gravity. And you're delusional if you don't think powerlifting has a shit load of technique involved. Shit these guys waste days trying to get perfect technique just to add 2 or 3% to their performance.

Just saying oly focuses a lot more on mastery of a technique than anything else. Powerlifting has a shitload of technique as well, but there's a lot more to a snatch than there is to a deadlift. Not to mention, the complex oly lifts seem much more impressive to the average non-lifting person. As a lifter, I would love to see guys deadlifting and whatnot in the olympics. I'm sure we'd see some insane numbers being picked up. However, the average non-lifter would just go "He can lift that much because he's fat," or, "He's just standing up with it, big deal." The olympics won't put in an event they think nobody will be interested in except for guys who do that kind of stuff. Would I like to see powerlifting in the olympics? Hell yeah. Is it going to happen? Not likely. Hell, if even karate couldn't get the votes to make it into the olympics (a sport practiced by millions around the world), powerlifting probably won't ever get the support needed to make it.
I beat the headaches. What helped is drinking much more water (from 0,5l to 1,25l) and breathing more. My breathing actually had to be forced, else I didn't get enough oxygen. Didn't think the widow-maker set was so demanding. Wasn't able to hit the full 20 reps in one go; first try was 7-7-6 and I still hadn't figured out the breathing thing. After that, I tried fixing my pain and that's what lead to me forcing breaths. To spite that little fucker in the back of my head, I did 15-5 at the end of my workout :)
It really helps to associate dehydration with headaches because most headaches are caused by dehydration. Well at least for me.

The main difference here is on the right, I am actively sticking my butt out and holding it. The left is without that and having my whole body bend slightly instead of just waist up. So which way is correct or is both wrong and there's another way?

My spine doesn't even bend half that much.
