So I ordered a tub of ON creatine mono, should be here in a couple of days (AUD$40 - expensive for US prices probably, but reasonable for Australian prices). Anyways, I have a couple of questions, I've heard about loading and cycling this stuff. Can anyone elaborate a little bit? Some comments I've read about ON creatine say not to bother with loading, others say don't worry about cycling it. Any help would be coolbeans
40$? How many grams? you can get a kilo of creatine for 10€ in finland... lasts ages.
600gm, 120 serves or something

Although hth it will probably advise you to take some ridiculous dosage on the bottle, companies do this so you go through the product quicker and buy more. Cycling is not needed as creatine does not act on any negative feedback loop, all that happens when you stop taking it is your creatine levels slowly return to baseline.
Fair enough, I'm guessing I would also need to drink a lot of water? At the moment that's one of my downfalls, probably don't get more than 1-1.5L a day.
Tip for water: buy a lot of those smallish freezer containers and use them to make large ice cubes. Use those to chill whatever you drink. Easier and more manly than normal ice cubes. I usually put some juice in my water to make it taste like something to make it easier to drink large quantities.
if your wee wee is going yellow, have 2 cups of water. thas it
what are your guys thoughts on thermogenic fat burners? my friend is taking oxyelite pro and i'm quite interested
If it's legal, it sucks. Even EC can't even come close to shaking a stick at albuterol or clenbuterol.
Fuck it I'm doing PSMF.
Fuck it I'm doing PSMF.
Holy shit stop your "cutting diets" ADD and add more physical activity. You expect a diet to magically reduce the numbers on your scale when you sit at home half the day? When I decided to lose weight a few months ago, I was doing physical labor at morning, workout at evening and sprints on my off days.
[i]Tip 374: Get Better Abs: Three Strategies for Stronger, Leaner Abs 6/20/2012 7:49 AM Get better abs with a complete fat-burning, muscle building approach. Many people struggle to see the results they desire in their abdominal area because their training and diet aren’t effective, or they have plateaued with traditional rep protocols. Get results by training the whole body, eating correctly, and managing the stress hormone response. A new study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research reminds us how ineffective much ab training is. It’s actually surprising an entire research group would waste time and money on such a study since even the traditional crunch doesn’t measure up if you want chiseled abs and a lean torso, let alone to be strong and able to transmit force through the ground for sports performance. This study compared muscle activity in the rectus abdominis during a traditional crunch and the basic jackknife exercise with the Ab Lounge machine. The traditional crunch used the upper and lower abdominals more than the Ab Lounge, but neither one has much utility in the Poliquin world. To truly strengthen and hypertrophy the abs, including the obliques, perform a wave-like periodized training program that includes squats, chin-ups, deadlifts, and Olympic lifts. Research shows that because the abdominal fibers are predominantly fast-twitch, they respond to intense overload and lower rep prescriptions. Sure, you can strengthen your abs by doing thousands of reps a day, but it won’t be as effective as training hard and heavy, and then cutting fat with sprints, the right foods, and minimizing stress. To lose fat and reveal those abs once you’ve got ‘em, perform sprint intervals for conditioning: A variety of protocols work, but if you’re pressed for time do ten 35-meter sprints at maximum effort with 20 seconds rest. Or if you want a slightly less painful protocol, do six 200-meter sprints with 2 minutes rest. Eat a high-protein diet, but make sure you get adequate fiber. Research shows that individuals who eat more fiber have less visceral fat and intestinal inflammation than those who eat less. Shoot for at least 25 grams a day of fiber. Don’t rely on getting all your fiber from carbs if you are eating a high-protein diet because even if all your carbs are coming from vegetables and fruit, it is unlikely you will get enough. Consider getting more good quality fiber from a supplement, and try to rotate the kind of fiber you get because your body will respond best if it has to process different sources regularly. The third thing you need to do for leaner, harder abs is to manage stress. The hormone cortisol is released when you are under physical and mental stress. When cortisol is chronically elevated—as it is for many of us in this high-pressure world—it shifts the body into a fat storage mode in the abdominal area. Do whatever works for you to minimize stress: try meditation, yoga, walking, martial arts, mental imagery, and play with your kids, etc. I guarantee that if you can minimize stress in your daily life, get adequate rest, and train regularly, you will see better, leaner abs by the end of the summer. Boosted my squat to 90kg today. Didn't feel as heavy as I thought it would be, but my legs buckled inwards during the last rep.
Anyone got some nice music for the gym?
Anyone got some nice music for the gym?
Don't know what kind of shit you're into, but I recently came across the band Dead by April. Turn up the volume and orgasm to the musicality.

I am 5'6 140lbs and 18yrs old. I don't want to get ripped, just want to get kinda cut. What do you guys recommend? -Edit- Modestep is awesome.
Why wouldn't want to be ripped? The word itself suggests a positive point of view of it.... either you want to be ripped, either you want to be strong or not. There's no kinda.
Alright, I've followed your advice and started lifting weights a few weeks ago. My arm grew pretty fast, which is really amazing and is one of the things that's keeping me motivated to keep working. My chest and abs on the other hand aren't really growing that fast and my legs are ok, I don't worry about them too much. So, what are good abdominal and chest exercises ? Besides push ups and leg raises (?). Also, I'm using a home-made gym equipment for the time being :v: Still figuring a way to do bench presses more effectively.
What kind of equipment you've got?
Well anyway I weight 140lb and im 5'6. Where would I start to better my body? What is your advice?
I came for abs but stayed for gains [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] 5'6? How olde are you?

I wish, I am also not fat.
What kind of equipment you've got?
some sort of barbell :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jYyZg.jpg[/t]
pfft, even I have better equipment availability than you. Refer to Barholics.
well it gets the job done for the time being. Whats wrong with it?
well it gets the job done for the time being. Whats wrong with it?
Doesn't seem awesome in the balance department. Looks like it's about to break down any moment. No good grip for benchpresses.
