I realize counting your nutrient intake might be helpful for controlling overall intake, but it's utter bullshit.
Just eat as much protein as you can from quality sources, not need to go overboard when you don't meet or "overmeet" your predictions for daily intake.
Also, even 200grams is insane.
I'm confused. You all kind of say against what I've read on a daily basis for several months. I thought it was straight facts that you would loose weight if you undercut calories, but that you would need a little more protein to help keeping the muscles from breaking down too fast and eat carbs the day you work out (Since it's the fuel for the muscles, so to speak)
Though, reading the replies here almost implies that I should eat less protein than I do today and don't count my calories I eat.
Have I gotten it all wrong?
You have gotten it all mixed up. 276g of protein a day is unnecessary and very much dependent on lean mass.
Counting calories is useless because;
1. Not all calories are the same, so it's pointless to begin with to "cut" 500 off.
2. Your day is dynamic not static and that should be your indication of how much protein&carbs you ought to consume.
It is straight forward that in order to lose fat you need to create a deficit... But that can come from either exercise or lowering the amount you eat. I prefer the 1st option.
Read a few articles on bodyrecomposition.com and it'll probably straight you out.

I already work out pretty much the whole weeks, so I guess I should lower the amount of food per portion, as I already have cut down on sugar and tried not to eat bad carbs.
what do you plan on having your diet consist of?
Mostly protein-rich food such as meat/fish/chicken as a base, and carbs to balance the needs I have when I workout
time to spam my bible once again, just focus on the clean foods section

There's a difference between consuming "a little more" protein and consuming more than elite bodybuilders do. I know a guy who's 210lbs LEAN at around 7-8 percent bodyfat and juices like crazy, only consumes around 230g of protein a day. 270g as someone with very little lean body mass is just raping your kidneys.
Can you guys give me any advice here? I'm skinny, have a fast metabolism but this week I'll start going to the gym. I want to build up some muscle and mass. I already eat quite a lot but I burn everything really quicky. I need some help figuring out a diet that I should follow. Any tips? And for the exercises a friend of mine which is a natural body builer said I should exercise each muscle once a week, is this correct? Thanks, I appreciate any help.
eat clean, eat a lot
and yes it's best to make a day for each muscle group
As long as your friend is making you do a good routine. I was like you when I first started except having the friend.
I did 1 muscle a day but the weight, set, and reps weren't set in stone and I kept changing things. One of the biggest wastes until I started SS which forced a 3x5 and I only had to remember weights for 5 exercises.
Anyone else feel like they have some sort of mind block when trying to bulk? It's like I hate eating... if I put a big serving of food on my plate I just can't force myself to eat it all. One thing that has helped me is gainers but I wan't to have to rely on supplements to bulk.
I have the opposite problem, if a large portion is put on my plate, I'll eat it even if I get full before that.
EDIT: trying to lose weight.

No I just imagine it's a fat dick instead of steak and potateos

Not really, if it tastes good. I got a bit of a problem with oats and tuna though.
Jaeger you got any recent pics of yourself? Just curious.

monday - shoulders and triceps
tuesday - chest and biceps
wednesday - rest
thursday - back
friday - legs
saturday - rest
sunday - rest
Should I do cardio every day as well? I'm really skinny and have a fast metabolism, so my friend told me to not do it because I would only burn calories doing it. As for sets and reps I was thinking of 4 sets of 6-8 reps, quite heavy and difficult weights. I'll do a few minutes of warm up before and after workout. Any advice on this?

No. Don't own a camera, not even a phone camera since I have a terribad nokia from the early 2000s.
Fucking paranoid about hosting pictures of myself on the internet anyway, specially with some of the information I've revealed and shit I've said in certain places.
I have no lungs. I can't slow jog for more than 15 seconds before coming winded. I'm not smoking so I don't know what else to fix.
Walk, I guess. Helped me to improve my own performance.
Well, times like these where I wish I didn't get my iPod wet...

gainers are crazy expensive and overrated, just spread out your meals so it's easier for you

i used to eat like 300+grams a day when i actually lifted. Made amazing gainz too.

I guess i should just eat 100grams a day then.
Not like my squat went up 200lbs in 2 month or anything.....

You have/had fat strength, big deal.
And nothing says your massive protein intake is what caused you to make "amazing gainz." There's a lot more to making gains than just getting a lot of protein.
You probably should lmao. Do you lift once a month now?
I dont even lift anymore. Just run n shit in football.
Only 245 now. Leaning up doe so I cant complain.
The second football ends I go into rape mode though, and after this season I am basically forced to do that for the next 5 or 6 years.

Fair enough. Strange that the 'most knowledgeable' person on this fitness forum doesn't even have pics of himself?
Maybe I haven't hung around here enough.

I'm fucking obese irl. I'm literally the fattest gayest dude you've ever seen, the only weight I lift is the cheeto bag to my mouth for reps.
fuck you
