Weightlifting/Bodybuilding Thread V.4 - I wanna look like that guy from Fight Club

I just got into fitness lately and I've so far been keeping to my routine for the last three weeks. I even got protein powder to help encourage muscle growth on my ectomorphic body.
Bah.
Body types - ignore it, it's "quackery"
I feel that it is fairly true though; I have an extremely fast metabolism and a natural skinny frame. I literally stayed 125lbs (With being 6'1") for 5 years until just recently; I now weigh about 140lbs.
good work dude, gaining weight is so much harder than people think it is
keep it up
ps kabstrac is right, just keep doing your thing, stop worrying about classifying yourself
Thanks guys for the information! I most definitely will stay motivated and keep at it. The funny thing is that I don't necessarily enjoy working out, I like the health aspect; I've just been so tired of being underweight.
I've been working in a shift job and done some extra hours so I havent had much time to work out and i've slept and eaten badly lately. When I went to the gym on tuesday, 60kg warm up squat felt heavy as fuck and my wrist hurt like hell. I couldn't do any pushing exercises because of my wrist.
How much rest should I give to my wrist? It does not seem to be hurting at the moment.

Did your wrists hurt?
hm, trying to change how you hold the bar without fucking up your form. Though i've never had that problem with the wrists. Did the "bone" hurt or is it kinda inside your muscle?

unless you just mess around without cumming, then you will be a beast

Been liftin' for a approximately 2 months now, and have been doing a lot of research on the subject, but I'm still not sure whether I'm a beginner or intermediate. I mean, where's the line? How do I know where I am?
it doesn't even matter
just set a goal for yourself and go for it
Well, I do failure sets mostly, and people keep telling me that it's for advanced trainers only. How do I approach that? I mean, I have no problems doing failure sets as they work great for me.

Unless they know what they are talking about, then fuck them.

2 years would be considered someone who's not a beginner. 2 years is about the time it takes to reach comparably good strength ratios and it's more than enough time for your motor paths to be built.
No need to fuss around with any "advanced" overloading techniques.

Stop doing failure. Your cns will be fried if you use that each and every workout. Besides, you get enough stimuli as it is right now.

Because going to failure places a lot of stress on the CNS but it's not necessarily causing any more growth, contrary to popular bodybuilding belief (hurr durr the more sore u r the better it worked see). Depending on a variety of factors, you may even be limiting some growth by always going to failure.
sorry if I sound like i'm going full retard but what are the consequences of putting too much stress on your cns? less energy/extra fatigue?

Overtraining;muscle breakdown, fatigue, depression..............
Anybody know how i can strengthen my self doing overhead presses?
Does doing legs really pump up your HGH levels by a bit?
So would doing legs one day, then the next day doing a lot of shrugs make sense? Since your traps have the most receptors?
What are you mumbling about? Receptors of what?

What exactly are you having trouble with during overhead presses?
HGH is probably human growth hormone.

Androgenic receptors. And yes that's what i meant major. i don't know. It's just a stupid idea i got. just asking if it was at least a bit true

Since doing legs pumps up your HGH levels a bit, how would your traps react to that if you worked them out the next day after doing legs?
Im sry im so retarded guise

Im struggling to get the bar up, even when the weight is low. I was wondering if anyone has any exercises to help me improve and get good reps.

No. That's not how it works.
Look bottom line is this: want a bigger muscle? Train that muscle.
Alternatively just inject trenbolone erry day and watch your shit grow magically without doing anything.
Oh okay. Thanks nigs. how much your traps grow is genetic right?

As much as any other muscle.

You are better off buying a large 30 pack carton of eggs than wasting your money on that. The 30 eggs are much cheaper and separating the egg and yolks would take a minute.
I came back here, to be bombarded with butthurtness and tears. I do Intermittent Fasting, and I love that shit.
