I go heavy on ab workouts 2 days out of the week, light on others. Worked well so far for me, any other workouts I could add to it?
Moved to a new gym today, and all my lifts increased. The thing is that I believe the barbells don't weigh your standard 20kg(I'm thinking 15 or lower). I asked the manager, and he picked it up and said it felt like 20 kg's. Anyone know how I can estimate their weights?

grab a 20kg plate and the bar and see if they are about the same... or stand on a weight scale with either of them.
Any good sources for bodyweight-only exercises? I don't have easy access to weights/machines

Yeah, I did that and it felt a lot heavier than the bar. The bar felt like 10kg or something. Didn't even know they made olympic bars that light.. Pretty unprofessional of the manager to buy that crap if it's true.

This book is pretty good:

It goes over terminology, bodybuilding concepts, a lot of bodyweight exercises and then helps you set up a routine.
You need to consider that even if two things weigh the same, the amount they SEEM to weight can vary greatly. You can test this by taking one 1kg plate weight and 1 liter (kg) carton of milk. The plate feels much heavier even though they're the same weight. Best if you bring a scale with you and test the bar that way if you want reliable results.
Is there benefit in doing high reps (10+) for deadlifts? aside from light warmups.
I always see it as a strength exercise and stick to 5 on my workset.

There's something beneficial, just as there's is for a dumbbell curl done at 5 reps. Depends on your goals.

I use an 8kg bar myself... It's the same shit, just more plates on the bar.
today I tried some olympic lifts today, they're fun as hell.
I tried the clean and jerk but I couldn't get a full clean down, since my legs were still sore, but I got the jerk down kind of. I was too scared to try snatch though. anyone have some pointers/tips/advice? for anything really

I was thinking of incorporating cleans on my leg day. y/n?
22kg bar for lyfe
Tomorrow, I'm gonna check the specs and weight of the barbells at my gym. I hope to Rippetoe that they're not under 15kg's or I'm gonna be pissed.
I wana loose some love handle fat and leg fat and get some abs.
I've been doing 90 squats, 90 pushups, 90 crunches and 900 jumping jacks every day for the last few months but it seems I need some kind of extra kick in my routine to get rid of that last bit of fat and get toned.
what am I doing wrong?
you're not doing anything right if you aren't focusing on nutrition or going to a gym

Do a mixture of jogging, sprinting, jump rope, mountain climbers, ect. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbinfo.php?page=HIIT HIIT is really good for that.
Of course, your diet is a huge factor, what are you eating?

Ran around like an effing sperg in the studio today, comparing barbells and determining weight. Found one of those shorter barbells with predetermined weight on them. The 20kg one and the barbell were more or less completely the same, so I guess they actually are 20kg's. Also, my benching still sucks as hard as when I worked out at the other studio, so..
Check if the plates are the right weight as well.
I wanna start doing creatine. 1 week of 20 grams, 4 of 5 grams and 4 og no grams is the way to go, right?

fuck creatine loading. I grab like 5 grams before workout and I get insanely energized. Unnecessary imo

Have you tried deloading more than twice (specifically bench) and generally your entire routine? If so, you've got a sticking point. Bottom or trouble locking out?
Okay, I'll just try to do it the other way. For how much time can I do it?
Do what? Creatine? If you do it my way then forever.

I had to deload when I got my shoulder injury, but haven't deloaded in a while. Might do it next time.
