Here's a bad picture of me at 300lbs, I was in a very bad place at this time in my life, locked in a cycle of depression and eating, and the bigger i got, the more I ate and the less i went outside, further reinforcing the cycle [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] all these years later, I still see the stretch marks... they act as both a painful reminder of what I was, and a joyful reminder of what I have overcome.......
lik dis if u cri everytim

remember that guy, ice1cube? hes a really cool guy and ocasionally posts workout videos. What do you think of this? (the overhead squat) Also, what are good exercises for abs that can go with 5x5?
So I'm 16, 5'6 and average 105 pounds. I've always been skinny but recently it's been bothering me more. I want to try to get to at least 115-120 by the end of the year if possible. I ride my bike or walk everywhere since I'm still in driver's ed and that usually isn't a problem physically, but anything more intense than a quick ride to the store and back leaves me winded partially because i have asthma. I eat three meals a day, lunch usually being the biggest and a few snacks, usually one at around ten, another at 4ish, and another before bed. I take vitamins too. Right now I want to gain some weight and just become healthier overall, but I would like to gain some muscle maybe a bit later. Any tips here?
RTFS (Read the fucking sticky). In the likely case you do not; Then hit the gym. Control your diet. Get big. You don't get puffed out lifting weights, so asthma isn't a worry.
I read the fucking sticky, i'm reading the westside for skinny bastards. I just figured I'd ask and see if there was anything else.
Well gents, I'm taking my training to the next level today. A few of you that frequent the martial arts thread may know that I've been doing some stuff for a while, on and off. Judo, BJJ, kickboxing mostly. Until now, I always did bodyweight and dumbell exercises with a little bit of machine work thrown in alongside my cardio to train. Well I fucked up my right leg real bad in March and it might finally be stable enough for heavy work again. Went out and picked up a weight bench + squat rack today. Starting SL 5x5 tomorrow morning. Tonight I've been experimenting and learning the motion of some exercises. Mostly my squat, benchpress, deadlift, and calf raise.
mcdonalds is great for bulking sure the fats are terrible for you but 2 dollars for 44 grams of protein is unbeatable
mcdonalds is great for bulking sure the fats are terrible for you but 2 dollars for 44 grams of protein is unbeatable
And a side of heart disease.
Jesus christ, I've started eating 100x more since I started lifting more often.
mcdonalds is great for bulking sure the fats are terrible for you but 2 dollars for 44 grams of protein is unbeatable
what are you eating that's 2 dollars for 44 grams of protein?!!
1 MCD burger isn't gonna do much at all, I just personally wouldn't have it more than once a couple weeks.
10 mcdonald burgers aren't going to do shit, I don't know why people think they are any different from a homemade burger. It's literally a sugary wheat bun + meat patty + cheese slice + ketchup or mayo or whatever the fuck They don't deep fry the patties. It's the trans fats on the fries that are worrisome, but even then, it's really debatable how much impact it has on otherwise healthy people who are physically active.
the problem is that most people aren't healthy and physically active.
mcd doonst rot aka perservatives aka rip i saw it on tlc

Wellp. I weighted myself and I've gone down 1 kg from last week. Didn't even keep too much of an eye on my diet really. Like yesterday I went to a gas-station with my friend for some burgers and fries which were really greasy and low in actual meat (the burger that is).

I really want to buff up my chest and upper back. The problem is that I have a hard time telling when I'm working my pecs. I also am having a hard time creating an upper back routine/circuit. Anyone ave experience with either of these.

fuuuuuck, what the fuck fuck fuck my arms go ), they cant be bent straighter than that by themselves. i have to force them straight, and every single motion hurts as fuck. ts like my muscles are 10cm for short or something. WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO
Hey guys, what exercises in gym you would recommend to getting stronger upper body? I sincerely have no idea, I'm new to gym (i exercised cardio and whatnot at home).
I don't really understand, you'd have to post a picture.

what the fuck are you talking about, my arm doesn't bend like that. that is a very confusing image to me, and your writing isn't helping either. Just take a real set of pictures, or at least make a detailed, well explained diagram, because I can't understand what the issue is.
alright, gonna try making it detailed and understandable [editline]25th August 2012[/editline] actually, heres a pretty simple comparison. my arms are stuck in the same position as kleiners arms. no problem with my shoulders, but my elbow rests at that angle, not straight down. putting my arms in the same position as the rebel feels like trying to stretch my muscles more than possible. its calming down after a bunch of painkillers and constantly stretching, but it still hurts a bit too much for my taste.
He just means that he doesn't have a full range of motion in his elbow, so even at its straightest the arm doesn't completely straighten out like for many people. EDIT: whoopsie daisy, missed my chance at explaining anything by miles.
I had that shit when i 1st started... it will pass after a few workouts.
I had that shit when i 1st started... it will pass after a few workouts.
alright, thanks man.
