He's only around 5kg heavier than I am and i'm 167 cm and not even slightly fat D:. Under 10 % bf I bet you can see your spine sticking out of your back :pwn:
Nah luckily not. I'm lean as hell but I wouldn't view myself as sickly skinny (even though my weight might suggest that). Anyway cheers Sleepy, I'll start stronglifts on monday.
6ft and 82kg ahm swole [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] or fate probs a mix between otter and dtrongfat
Slept 2 hours tonight, I so decided to "borrow" some of my parents "special blend" imported coffee. Felt like my feet were hovering, and I boosted my 5rm atg squat to 95kg and my 2rm atg squat to 100kgs. I'm over sensitive to caffeine, but I'll probably start drinking some coffee before I lift now.
coke is bad okay
Are decline situps bad? I've been doing them for a while and they do hurt my hips a bit but not a lot. And I do feel it in my core afterwards. I do 3 sets of 30 reps with 25lbs arm crossed. Should I switch over to crunches? I'm getting a bit closer to a 6 pack, but I feel it can be better. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6pN8x.jpg[/img_thumb] What is a good nutrition website too? I just want to generally know what I eat and what it does. I want to lose fat too. I'm 6 ft 155 lbs, 17 years old.
honestly I think situps are terrible and generally hurt your back/hips in the long run. you don't really have to mess around with core exercises. just work on your squats, deadlifts and rows and that should be enough to stimulate your abs.

Do you have an source for sit ups being bad? I've having a hard time trying to find a good source stating weather or not it affects you in the long run.

I had to see a physical therapist for a hip problem and she said situps might have contributed to the problem. I do weighted decline crunches sometimes, it's way easier on my hips and back. this article might help you: http://www.livestrong.com/article/483473-are-situps-crunches-bad-for-the-spine/

I have back problems too but I don't get back pain during my situps. I do get hip pain but its nothing really bad and gets progressly better. A study on only 12 people is way too small to be useful so I don't really trust that source.
I don't see how having only 12 people in the study really affects the findings. It straight up says you're putting a lot of force on your lower back. but really you don't and shouldn't have to bother doing core specific exercises if you're doing squats and deadlifts.

When doing squats, on the way up I feel a lot of pressure on the very bottom of my quads right above my kneecap. I haven't felt this sensation until now when I bumped the weight up. Is this normal and just a sign my "lower quad" is just weaker?
Could be a normal response and could be a sign that your quads are tight.
Anyone else feel bloated and horrible when bulking? It's also ruining my sleep, because I'm constantly farting and burping.
Anyone else feel bloated and horrible when bulking? It's also ruining my sleep, because I'm constantly farting and burping.
Leangains.com.... bulking is the old way
Leangains.com.... bulking is the old way
But leangains is for cutting?
But leangains is for cutting?
lean gains it's lean gains gains without the fat of bulking
alright, I'll check it out. This bulking is killing my ass
Leangains.com.... bulking is the old way
welp to be fair, I don't think cramming his calories into an 8 hour feeding window is going to make his ass gas any better
welp to be fair, I don't think cramming his calories into an 8 hour feeding window is going to make his ass gas any better
That's probably related to a specific food rather than his eating routine, so yes, you're right from that perspective it won't. I was recommending it because bulking is bullshit.
The leangains-guide says I need some BCAA tablets or such. Any brands you guys prefer?
The leangains-guide says I need some BCAA tablets or such. Any brands you guys prefer?
BCAA powder, I've never seen it come in tablets. But TBH I don't think you NEED BCAAs As for brand, scivation's xtend watermelon flavor is literally the most orgasmic BCAA product I've ever had.
BCAA is unnecessary. It's his own preference. As far as I remember, in the article, there's nothing to back it up but preference. Feel free to indulge yourself in fasted-state exercise without losing anything but fat :)
there should be an aesthetic rating for this forum

The site says it's unwise to train completely fasted.
no xplod
IMO pre-workout supps are completely unnecessary and can easily be substituted with a well timed and balanced meal
So if I take a bowl of oats with non-fat milk and coffee, it's just as good?
yeah that sounds good to me. all you really need is some carbs and a small amount of protein for a good pre-workout meal. give your body some time to digest it beforehand though, like at least an hour or so before you work out.
IMO pre-workout supps are completely unnecessary and can easily be substituted with a well timed and balanced meal
No way, normal food won't live up to intense focus, strength and pump like some preworkouts
key word here is "unnecessary" [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] but wait I do admit I was wrong with comparing a pre-workout supp to a meal. but I still stand by saying all you need is a good meal
