What are the benefits of doing snatch-grip deadlifts? And if they're good, how should one incorporate it with standard deadlifts.
snatch grip can help build a v tape plus anything is better than mixed grip
What are the benefits of doing snatch-grip deadlifts? And if they're good, how should one incorporate it with standard deadlifts.
I wouldn't bother unless you plan on doing oly lifts
Okay, so I have been suffering from some minor acne.. But this shit cleared up since i started kinda-smoking (i smoke very little). Maybe it's because it dries the skin a bit? What the fuck

That's what I thought. But my skin dries out a bit from it. My problem was oily skin before. And it kinda balances it!
Maybe you stopped eating excessive shit because your mouth is busy with a different kind of sausage.
I love you
Gonna try some Snatching tomorrow for the first time. Will probably be crap, but I got some nice pointers from these vid's
How do you snatch without injuring your crotch during that hip thrust?
Back from my first snatch workout. Managed to do 30kgx5 without any problems.
How do you snatch without injuring your crotch during that hip thrust?
If you watch the first video, they talk about how you hold the bar, and such. If you hold the bar right(differs from person to person), the bar will hit your waist when it bounces upwards, and stay clear of your genitals(for me at least). Snatch is an awesome lift, my new favourite by far.
I love snatch especially when its tight
Wouldn't help me even if I watched the videos since I'm practically deaf and can't understand anything that isn't spoken to me in Finnish and preferably directly to me, but alright, it's a matter of technique.
Oh daymn. I did a 11km run yesterday, and a few hours after that my left foot started to hurt like hell and now I can't even walk properly. I did not even hit it anywhere. I hope it's not a stress fracture. Gotta go to x-ray if it's not any better tomorrow. I guess I'm gonna do a small cut until it's fully healed.
I like how you're reacting so quickly to leg trouble while it took me 1,5 months to finally decide and get a doctor appointment (which is on 24th of this month) for my right foot (although your problem might be more severe).
Foam roll.... Read about it, it will elevate pain
Wow. Any of you guys know how to alleviate groin pain. I swear to god ever since late last year I've been pulling my groin on a weekly basis. Even after a month rest it still pops up. I stretch and everything.
Masturbate to stretch.
Will post results.
Have you tried taking a break on it? I had some pretty bad groin pain but taking a few days off helped it go away. IDK, i'm not a doctor
anyone have experience with hip impingement? I was diagnosed with it a year ago and I went through phys therapy to treat it. But lately I feel it coming back on the day after I do squats and DLs.
Have you tried taking a break on it? I had some pretty bad groin pain but taking a few days off helped it go away. IDK, i'm not a doctor
Yeah. After track and field (Where it first occured) I took probably a month off. Then I had some minor pains in it while throwing a few weeks after that break. Then it went away and now after a football game it's back. I was just reading that after tearing/pulling your groin your 2x more likely to have it happen again, and after that its like 4x more likely to happen. FML

Do you maybe feel it in your balls, or a specific side? Also, went to the gym for the first time in 2.5 years. I deadlifted using lbs plates which was a pain as I have an 8kg bar and kilos at home. I did 4.5 plates I think. I find the experience awkward as people are all quiet especially when I dropped the bar onto the floor (ohhhhhhh it's like an orgasm in comparison to my home gym where I can't drop it) Well, at least I have now a glute-ham machine and some leg presses. Oh, and a pec deck. Shit's getting real.
ok so uh, I'm going to open a new steroids thread that is actually full of information both good and bad, rather than just "lel steroids" someone link me to a thing on how to do post code, i want to make like a table of contents with hyperlinks to certain sections in the post etc
shut the fuck up and just put the darn thing using word or some bullshit.... ! I NEED THIS IN MY MOUTH RIGHT NOW
Is decline bench important?
Is decline bench important?
Actually I would like to know this too. I've done it a few times using dumbbells and I like it.
Nothing special about it. Move on
Today I started my new oly-lifting schedule. Most tiring shit ever, but really fun. Using this: http://www.pendlay.com/A-Training-System-for-Beginning-Olympic-Weightlifters_df_90.html
Is decline bench important?
It takes a lot of pressure off the shoulders. Flat bench is probably the weakest of all bench press variations, at least when it comes down to lifting for aesthetics. Not very much chest development while putting a lot of areas at risk. I've been lifting for a long time and I have never heard of anyone tearing a pec or any other serious injury while doing something other than flat bench. It isn't useless, you can build muscle just fine with flat bench but when it comes down to aesthetics, it doesn't work nearly as well as incline or decline and it puts you at a higher risk for injury as the weight gets heavier.
Bench Press is not as deadly as you make it to be... The real issue with it is bad technique and aggrevated existing postural issues due to technique which makes it seem as if the bench is the devil....
