Weightlifting/Bodybuilding Thread V.4 - I wanna look like that guy from Fight Club

Been doing really great progress.
But I have neither exercised too much or eaten too healthy this week.
Reason is I that I got sick on Tuesday. Started with sore back-muscles on Monday evening, which then progressed to go further on Tuesday evening.
Got well rather smoothly by just relaxing totally (not focusing on any kind of work, just playing videogames) and eating delicious stuff.
Thus weeks exercise so far has been; a 10 km walk and a few sprints and vaults when trying to make going from place to place more enjoyable.
GF suspects that I wasn't sick, just burnt out from all the exercise.
i feel like im the only cunt in here that doesn't count my calories.
I slightly count them so that i can have a rough estimate of where i lie, i am aiming for a surplus normally everyday and make sure i get around 120 - 140g proteinz erryday
atleast im making some progress so i guess im doing it decent, could be better tho.. Ill get to it ~
Counting your calories, unless on a diet, is being a cunt. In order to be gaining you need a reasonable surplus and counting everything is a waste of my time just so I can get maybe 10-5 pounds less of fat when I get on my diet. I rather diet a week more than waste my bulking days which take up to a year to see measurable changes.

Done powerlifting couple years now, dieting was never a big deal there except that we had to get enough food (or so that my trainer said) so after competing a couple times i feel like i'm tired of powerlifting. And i am gonna venture unto bodybuilding territory, havent dieted yet and i'm pretty nervous about it. i weigh 68 and i'm probably gonna bulk up a bit before i start doing any cutting.
halp guys
I suddenly have appetite loss, and I think it's from the whey powder/dairy. For a while I was using half- Rice protein, half Whey Concentrate, but the rice protein ran out so I am using full Whey. I couldn't finish my shake because of lost appetite, and I had stomach cramps yesterday. Not cluing in, I had some more whey last night for macros, and I woke up with no appetite at all!
I have bowel movements twice a day, and they are always well-formed (I eat a lot of fibre), but this morning it was looser.
What do!>? Also, my sex drive is lowered lately, or at least I'm not aroused by images, but that might be from meeting this girl I really like and her being real as opposed to an image.
Sex drive usually goes away (in a way) by meeting girls, porn doesn't work when you're having steady sex with a girlfriend. from my experience.
also i had a stomach virus a week ago (lost 3 kg :( because of it) it might be that, you have same symptoms as i did. except i was so naseous (how do u even speeel dat) that i couldnt eat at all. The virus is around everywhere it seems nowadays.
ah furak I hope it's not a stomach flu. At least I could lose some body fat heh? no pls no
i lost loads of fat tbh, like a small cut except you look like a twig after you've healthy again

Before we jump onto conclusions.... Sounds like overtraining my friend. Lack of appetite, sex drive...
How's your training?

two things;
why are you tired of powerlifting?
bodybuilding, after 2 years is complete mental masturbation. I need something other than a good pump when I come to the gym, but hey, that's me.

I don't really care about calories, I just care about nutrients.
I mainly just watch for sugar because I've had trouble with cavities. I'll admit though, I wasn't on top of things when it came to dental hygiene. My biggest problem was that I didn't floss. I started doing that regularly like 7 months ago though.
don't bother counting calories and focusing on macros unless you're cutting. or maybe maintenance, then count calories but macros still don't matter so much. i'm bulking for 9 more months and i could count calories and macros and shit then it'd give me less weight to have to cut 9 months from now, but it really isn't a big deal. it might be another 15 pounds i have to lose which isn't a huge deal anyways. unless you're like a national level BB competitor then counting calories while bulking is pretentious

aw shit here we go
I say give training a bit of rest and maybe give your macros a check...
the only thing I track is how much protein I get, carbs are easy to overeat obviously.... ;) and try and see for yourself, I can't be sure. Sounds like you're recovering, so sounds like a plan

I may have worded it wrong, i think it's fun and i love it.
but im tired of the same routine day in and day out, i wanna do something other for a change. In Norway it's kinda big, but we have all these competitions for naught. We can't earn money from it, we can't win anything else then a diploma or a medal (i like medals) and we never get any money support to really do anything. I mean christ, the biggest event of the year is in a halfway shitty hall school hall.
I really want to just try something new. but gonna bet my ass my trainer will pick on me to get back again :v:
Bodybuilding is all about looking good, powerlifting is about lifting good.
bodybuilders often look semi-decent, powerlifters often look semi-dyel.
id choose bodybuilding over powerlifting personally. but then my goals are purely aesthetic for the most part.

But then again, everyone has it's own goals. For me, it is more about getting stronger than aesthetics.

Simply an observation;
You say, I think it's fun and i love it, yet tired of doing something you love and is fun for you.
You say, we can't earn money from it, medals..., yet it's something you strictly do for fun so how is the money even a relevant legitimate reason to find powerlifting boring?
I think, can't be sure, you want to try something new because powerlifting is not working for you... maybe it's the gains that aren't coming fast enough, maybe it really is starting to bore you, reason I even asked in the first place is because unless you're in your first year, bodybuilding is simply much more boring mentally and physically, day in day out than putting weight on the bar every few workouts towards a goal you have set for yourself.
A warrior does not give up on his love, but finds the love in what he does. That's what I think, maybe it will get you thinking as well.... (you really don't have to agree with me here)

both can achieve aesthetics one way or the other and both cannot live without the other. Simply put, I am going to get as big as the weight on the bar.

It's not my first year, it's my second almost the third now.
I just feel like doing something else, no offense but nothing of what you've said isn't even correct on my behalf tbh. Gains havent been a problem, winning in my weight class not a problem there. It's mosly aesthethic, the program and training we use it's not visually pleasing enough for me, i've always admired the idea of having well sculptured body instead of eating to gain and look ugly in the process.. I may sound like a generic fag but i want it to be visually pleasing not statisically pleasing when i see increased my overall stats by 15kg for example, that's cool.
Also money prizes, sponsorships is great it gives it more a competetive edge. Here you're lucky if someone even sponsors you and if you do get sponsored you only get a belt and maybe some equipment for squatting but that's it
Powerlifting will always be in my heart and i did great (for example first time i ever competed i got third place on a reasonable big event), but i want to try something else, i want to explore other things to do to gain experience. you keep saying bodybuilding is boring mentally and physically, that may be your perspective, i want to see it for myself because our opinions may differ.
Thats cool shoopiwoop and understandable. I quit powerlifting after my first 6 months and never went back, albeit my coach was pissed as fuck, but if you don't want to do it, you don't want to do it. I'm glad I quit as all the guys who went to the club looked like they were pregnant. The only time those guys looked good was like 3 weeks before a comp and they isntnatly looked like shit after. I prefer going to the upstairs gym where people focus on aesthetics. Plus lifting for looks rather than power gets you cheap bitches and can even get you modelling jobs.
bodybuilding can be percieved as boring, but in my opinion the rewards are much better. There is a limit as to how ripped you can get before you look grotesque, but it is hard to hit that limit without copious roids.

What do u mean by that last sentence?
i started lifting cuz i wanted to get the hot bitches without so much effort from my personality side and instead just being a sick kunt with a rockin bod. shit actually worked but my goal changed from getting hot bitches to getting big as fuuuaaarkk because i genuinely enjoy lifting things up and putting them down. aesthetics is like 70% and being a strong fucker is 29%. bitches are 1% when it comes to lifting now. fuck bitches get gains
Stfu with the bitches, body size is irrelevant.

lole, to get bitches all you need is confidence. If you have confidence, your body or face doesn't matter, you can be fat cunt with great confidence and still get bitches. Though good body is good for raising confidence and self-esteem.
can anyone of you sickcunts recommend me a program, a name or anything for a intermidate guy that has been lifting for a few years? i want to start focusing on getting mass and growing p. much now.
I've read up on PHAT, is that a good pick?

Anything with a good amount of volume, progression and is a bodysplit would produce results. Choose whatever you fancy; I'm with overpain, I really enjoy 531.

I searched for it, but the guides i find confuses me a little bit because the names for things are so different in my language :v
