Weightlifting/Bodybuilding Thread V.4 - I wanna look like that guy from Fight Club

Open question: When doing SL, what weight were you squatting before changing to 3x5?
how does it matter what others have gotten to ?
I'm planning on hanging up some gymnastic rings from chains on a tree branch outside (it already has the support structures in the tree from an old swing). I'm looking to make it detachable with a chin up bar, but I'm not sure how it'll be when it's not a fixed bar. Obviously the bar will sway when I'm using it.
Does it matter much if the bar isn't fixed for chin ups?

It's just rings for basic stuff I'm not looking to be a gymnast, lol
It will active your forearms more, however, I worry about your rotator cuff if it wobbles around too much
mmm yeah. I'll do some more research first. I'm actually pretty into this ring thing now but I have some concerns (if you're able to answer them)
I was just going to cut these rings out of a big steel pipe that's in the shed. The circumference size looks good, but is it a good idea to have it made out of steel? Also is it a good idea to be attached to chains at the top of the ring? I see online it's all attached to straps but also in a way so the ring is loose in the straps instead of fixed onto it. Sorry if I'm not making sense.

I can always make a detachable thing from the chain to a leather strap to hold the ring to keep it loose actually.

Actually screw the bar I can do chin ups on the rings. That's fine right?
a leather strap will give you more flexibility, which is what you want to get from rings. The rings themselves, I really doubt them being steel will hinder much ... the regular classic rings you see on t.v are made this way because it prevents slipping without causing too much calluses .
I'll probably look at ways to hook them up to leather straps. Cheers for the help.
i ate a whole bag of soy crisps
only after did i notice i just ate 120g of carbs OOPS. i'm supposed to be cutting.
#datcuttinglife #forgottocheckthemmacrosxD #soycrisps

[QUOTE=BuDSpOoNce;38526415]my brother tried it for a while and he said it didn't help much at all
a good diet is more effectivol what???
it's not as if your body is going to burn calories when you're in a surplus, that completely defies the laws of thermodynamics, it's just won't happen regardless of what you do.
clen with anything that create a deficit will produce superior results than diet alone

Yessssss, I love it when I'm in a slight dryspell and I work out weak and with no motivation and then I take a slight break and when I go back I get this awesome workout and end up raising the weight of like half my exercises, shit's great.
I love getting awesome workouts like that.
Any lifts/exercises to help increase my squat weight? My max is 175lbs and its been pretty slow on its progress.
Front squats and trenbolone
and back squats/
squat more
approx ~1 week ago I fucked up on a clean and now I experience extreme sharp pain in area between thumb and pointer finger in my right hand when I attempt to hold the bar like i'm doing a front squat
what do
:(
rest, use exercises meanwhile that don't cause you pain...
also, don't be alarmed, it will improve over time, sometimes a month even isn't enough... it's one of those things where it happens and then 2 months later you ask yourself "wasn't I hurt just not so long ago?"
