Good job.
I think SH needs another cleanse, seems to of really developed a big right wing hivemind. Getting to the point of absolute intolerableness where you can't express your own views without being an "SJW"

it's time to make this thread better
a permaban for scratch then
a permaban for scratch then
you missed the fullstop
Maybe it's because I'm American and think of different ideals when I hear "right-wing," but I in no way would ever consider anything on Facepunch of that sort.
Even from a European perspective it's slightly left-ish (in some ways at least. Imo people are relatively moderate on average here). Seen from here the US are much more economically liberal and socially conservative, which would put both large parties on the right-wing end in Germany. With SH it's definitely all in how you say things, and if you can make your point in a way that doesn't fall apart if someone looks at it funny. You'll get a ton of boxes if you do it badly, practically no matter what you say. If you do it well it's highly unlikely for anyone to resort to bad arguments or name-calling in return even there. Sometimes I'd like to make it clear why I edited something without putting an [editline]edit[/editline] with braces next to the change. [editline]This is an example edit, but there really could be anything here.[/editline] <- I could put the explanation in there too to reduce clutter, but that's a lot less accessible. How about adding the contents as title="" attribute? You can already see them by replying so it wouldn't cause issues with revealing previously hidden information. [editline]This is on-topic! I think I found a bug in the subscriptions section of fp_read. I've got two subscribed threads that were last posted in over one week ago (specifically the 3D printing and the "weird school kids" threads) and don't have an "X new posts" tag because I didn't read them and let them fall off my read threads. But now, even though I've gone back to them and read all the posts, it still appears like this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/IiPnd0n.png[/t] They're non-bold when I view them through the subforum page, but they're forever "unread" on my subscriptions page, sitting at the very bottom doing fuck-all.
Couldn't you also use this one [t]http://catpanic.eu/upl/2015-06-29_17-42-40.png[/t] ?
That's the first point I make (and I tried it with the post above). As you can see it was disabled along with the plain edit notes.
what was that downtime, does Facepunch not have load balancers or backup servers or anything
That was the bi-weekly death, nothing to worry about.
So Kiwi keeps pointing this out to me. I seem to have no flagdog and I don't know why
So Kiwi keeps pointing this out to me. I seem to have no flagdog and I don't know why
You're not from this world.

wOW usually you're so nice also robot, time to update the xbox profile link, seems it goes to some third party site from forever ago the official location of your profile with relevant data is formatted like this- https://account.xbox.com/en-US/Profile?GamerTag=daijitsu only hitch is a visitor needs to be signed into their microsoft account to access it
what was that downtime, does Facepunch not have load balancers or backup servers or anything
lmao robotboy does fucking live code changes and continuously breaks things (despite fixing them later) facepunch doesn't know anything about high availability [editline]29th June 2015[/editline] I would hate Robotboy's job. Soooo much inherited technical debt.
keep cool it's facepunch it's not like it's a quality site anyway
keep cool it's facepunch it's not like it's a quality site anyway
We're used to this shit by the previous maintainers. RobotBoy is actually doing a pretty good job compared to the reputation of the others' attempts.
Hey now, compwhizii did a separate forum for the upgrade to vBulletin 4 at first. then of course when it copied over it broke so much shit that he might as well have done it all live
The best test environment is the live environment
The best test environment is the live environment
There is no such thing as a test environment, it was all planned
The forum doesn't break, it just has happy accidents
The downtime today wasn't caused by me - I played some Portal mod when it happened.
this is worse than the time you deleted garrysmod.org
I didn't delete it, I don't have physical access to Facepunch servers or databases. ( I am not working from the office )
