Before Wikipunch launched its test favicon was a gif of a dick spinning round and round, maybe we could use that?

current one is fine
looks weird
Tweaked the bottom bit. To me what Paul Simon posted looks nicer still. Although I rather not change the favicon at all :v:
???
Every icon is a vector Please do give feedback on which ones look too blurry and I'll look into it if its something I can fix.
Shrink the icons so that the borders are more prominent around them. I want to see how it looks with at least 2px of solid background color around each side, then we can tweak them to normalize the sizes.
XP, Vista, Vista ALT, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Apple, Android
Vista icon could do with shrinking the Windows logo inside the orb and removing the gaps between the flag colors (definitely use the colored version.) The spaces in the 10 icon could also stand to be more clearly defined instead of being stuck between pixels.
???
Most obvious thing, thanks for making me feel stupid hah. :suicide: Would that possibly mull people over for a favicon change though?
perhaps for consistency with the main page button?
???
I feel this works pretty damn well, good job.
better than the shitty one i posted lol, i think it's time for the switch
let's just add e621 and be done with it [editline]e[/editline] OR we can just have the ability to add multiple custom page links instead of just one, because there's a thousand niche sites that maybe a dozen people would ever use that just don't require the time of day to lay out
The problem I see with that is that it would be easy to post phising pages for Steam Community, for example. It could work if there was a well-maintained whitelist though.
based that really is neat, but brace for impact, people will cry
in a couple days people will get over it, if it does cause any outcry that is
The favicon has never even loaded for me in ages and still doesn't so I've never cared. :v:
Because it looks incredibly hideous. You can't get the shape of the eyes, mouth and distinction between face and glove withing 16x16px. You really just can't. You can only get hideous abominations. On top of that you can't have the white on the edges because the background it will be displayed on is normally white as well, so suddenly you just have floating x'es, or just weird blobs of red. I've attempted a few variations, and although they may look good next to the grey background in photoshop, they look absolutely hideous or nonsensical when seen on a white background. Put a border around it and too much space to show the shape of any parts of the logo goes away. The current bookmark icon is honestly one of the better solutions, even though the S is really bad.
I literally used yours to make this. It works fine. Oh wait it was quark's
all my glorious work undone oh well at least it looks uniform now; not sure if that passes as a flickr logo but whatever; hate the homepage one more anyway [editline]19th May 2015[/editline]
I literally used yours to make this. It works fine. Oh wait it was quark's
too pixelly for 2015 imo; you can use massive images that resize into favicons now
This probably isn't your department, robotboy, but I'd love to see a game development section. For sharing games you're working on or asking questions or getting feedback or talking about development stuff that isn't related to programming/mapping/modeling/whatever. I'm pretty sure there are more than a few game developers or designers on here who would make use of that.
Yes! I would love to see this. Many game developers come out of Facepunch, and it would be amazing to see what projects have been obscured by the fast paced posting of the Programming section's WAYWO thread.
About the whole getting alerted when someone mentions your name, there's a forum that gives you a notice when you put @ next to a valid user's name. Dunno if you guys want it to look like twitter, but it's an option.
Also, I don't know if anyone else on facepunch uses itch.io? If not, I'll just put that as my homepage.
A few people from WAYWO do.

pm @Garry for rust keys

I am not meddling with any subforum additions or removals. [editline]20th May 2015[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/d2V6Rsc.jpg[/t] Updating fp_images with better looks & functionality.
If we made a megathread for that, it would basically be what people were working on, which is what we already have with WAYWO (what are you working on).
I have a bug with what I'm assuming is Image Zoomer since it only started to happen within the last week. When I click on a thumbed image it shows the full size image off to the right of the browser. My guess is that its because I have 2 monitors and its trying to center the image between them or something. [t]http://puu.sh/hQwSU/ebe60984d8.jpg[/t] [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] Its worse on larger images: [t]http://puu.sh/hQxfn/2cbbdd3fbd.jpg[/t]
Quoting because it makes thumbed images almost useless
Quoting because it makes thumbed images almost useless
Works fine on Firefox 38.0.5, might be a Chrome problem. Running 2 monitors as well.
You can always just make a mega thread for that in Programming subforum. I am not meddling with any subforum additions or removals.
dude you should totally add a minecraft subforum, garry doesnt need to know
Yes! I would love to see this. Many game developers come out of Facepunch, and it would be amazing to see what projects have been obscured by the fast paced posting of the Programming section's WAYWO thread.
I don't think the programming section is too fast-paced to make individual threads for games there, since the waywos and question threads take up 90% of the activity. The last thread on page one didn't have activity in a month. A new game development section as a whole would still be far slower-paced than the creative section which doesn't have an own subforum anymore at all (but should). Just use the (new?) thread icon in Programming and it should be clear that a thread is about a game release.
I am not meddling with any subforum additions or removals.
I don't blame you, it's a touchy subject anyway. Hey, remember when Big Dumb American promised "big changes" at the time the subforum removal shitstorm was going down and then absolutely nothing happened? Good times. [editline]20th May 2015[/editline] I think somebody developing their own game in the programming section could probably bump their thread more than often enough to keep the thread active unless they go like a month without a single comment or progress report.
