Can't say I'm surprised.
Dude, you're too fast for me...
Let's get back on track, then Robo, had any thoughts about making it possible to bold, underline, etc with [sp] ?
I made some extra OS icons for you for User Agent detection. NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, DragonFlyBSD and Haiku OS NetBSD FreeBSD OpenBSD DragonFlyBSD (look for just DragonFly in browser agent string to detect this OS) Haiku OS (look for just "Haiku" in browser user agent string to detect this OS)
Can we have it so unsubscribing from a thread is as quick as marking a thread as unread?
Can we have it so unsubscribing from a thread is as quick as marking a thread as unread?
It already is
It already is
Really? Clicking unsubscribe brings me to a confirmation redirect while marking unread simply just removes the post without a confirmation.

You don't have to click anything beyond clicking unsubscribe though.
hey, i just wanted to pop in and say thanks for updating so thanks
How about letting the ratings row fade back in after the rate message, so you don't have to refresh the page to re-rate?
dude who cares it'd take like 30 seconds
Exactly. Even if it is really really rare, at least it would still show up with the right one.
Here are some more Operating System icons. I repeated the ones above so they're all together. Note that none of these are Linux. They have their own identifiable name in the User Agent string. Do you know anyone on facepunch that use any of those?
I don't understand the opposition to have more OS support. "Oh no, we can detect more OS' how useless"?!? Can't he just post his icons and then robot can implement them if he wants?
Do you know anyone on facepunch that use any of those?
Only one way to find out, and that is to log browser strings, unique IP address and username.
If facepunch detects those OSes as well, then it will pretty much cover every OS that anyone might ever use. If Robotboy would be happy to add them, then why not? I mean we already have every variation of everything else. I can assure you that the list I posted pretty much covers everything you could possibly see that's not already done.
Do you know anyone on facepunch that use any of those?
I know someone on facepunch that is one of those.
Add dos icon for arachne users
I'm not sure there's a browser that runs under DOS that has a detectable user agent string.
RobotBoy could just log all Useragents that don't have a currently recognized browser, and add those.
I'm not sure there's a browser that runs under DOS that has a detectable user agent string.
xChaos_Arachne/5.1.89;GPL,386+ is arachne's string, according to this website
xChaos_Arachne/5.1.89;GPL,386+ is arachne's string, according to this website
That string might show up under Linux also (for linux users of that browser) it doesn't explicitly state "DOS". Also, the user could be running FreeDOS and (shock horror!) we wouldn't be able to differentiate them from MS DOS. Otherwise, I would have. Edit: I added Syllable, MorphOS, SkyOS, MenuetOS to the previous post with the OS icons.
The problem with more browser/OS detection is the fact that almost none if none at all of the Linux distros differentiate themselves in the UA string:
User Agents need to be revised anyway, the whole legacy pretending you are every browser on the web is bullshit.

They are not Linux distributions. They have their own user agent strings. (I wrote next to the logos what they report in the user agent so that they can be distinctly identified).
I don't have a network connection on my Amiga's but I do know MIPS/Pentium has SGI machines on the net.
I have indeed browsed the forums under Irix, MS-DOS, Solaris, AIX, and VMS to name a few. I'd try the same as well under NeXTSTEP again but a few years back something broke page layout and it no longer loads pages properly.
